I was contacted by phone the owner of Sunrise Contracting more than once, including once after the expiration of the agreement. He let me know that he would do what was needed to fulfill his obligation for the Angies' Deal. It was I who did not respond. I am very sorry now that I didn't use the service all those years ago. I sure have handyman tasks to do now!!!

They weren’t very good. I would not use them again.

They were very prompt and very nice but due to very normal circumstances we were not able to start the work yet. They have appointments made with me to get them done.

The gentleman who came was nice and professional, but he never submitted a follow up estimate.

The contractor reached out to us to schedule an estimate and was professional. During his initial visit, we found that some of the jobs we had in mind were outside the scope of his work. We wanted to find a suitable job and had asked him about the timeline (as the coupons had an expiry date). He assured us that he would honor the coupon and use it towards any future project we chose. He did visit us couple of times after to give us an estimate for different jobs but either the total cost seemed too high or involved additional work for which proper estimate could not be given. During this period it was starting to get more and more difficult to hear back from him. We were getting worried about the money paid at this point so eventually when we heard from him we had finalized a flooring job. This was around October of last year. Since then we couldn't reach him via email or phone calls. Finally he answered a call I made on November from a different phone during which he complained that we were going back and forth and were wasting his time. I told him the work has been decided and all he needs to do is schedule it. I even asked about getting a refund but he said he had to pay Angie's list and cannot pay us. He agreed he would do the work after the holidays and asked us to purchase materials. This was the last we heard from him. We bought the flooring tiles needed for the project. Since then I have tried to contact him several times. I sent him emails, called his office, called his cell phone, sent messages to his phone (I could see a "read" feedback) but no response. This is when I started to get really doubtful if we would ever hear from him and contacted Angie's list. I do have to say that Angie's list has been very helpful in resolving this issue. They even tried to contact him to reach out to us which he has not yet done. We have a baby on the way and have a short window to finish the work. If not, we could have looked around for a replacement deal through them.

They never returned my calls or e-mails about painting work they were suppose to do. It went very poorly, and they never ended up doing the work.

Very nice people to work with indeed! They really seem to care about the work and even did some extras without being asked.

Giovani came to the house and we discussed the work I wanted done. He said he would email me an estimate in a couple of days. After 2 weeks and several emails(the phone number was wrong on the voucher) I finally received the estimate via email. My husband and I both tried to contact him to set up a date, but after numerous calls he never got back to us with a date. He continually gave the excuse that he didn't have his calendar with him and would call back in the evening.

Difficult to schedule, but once they finally were able to make it, they were in and out in a day. Work looked good.

I purchased a "big deal", and had trouble reaching him at first to do the work. The work was satisfactory so I hired them to continue working on the project. The work was extremely sloppy, the men took many breaks, and left 3 hours early (leaving work undone). Out of frustration I hired another man who did twice the work in half the time and charged considerably less.

Initial response was fast, too weeks to come and do the work after a couple of reminders. I expect better quality of work.

Never responded to me to set up an appointment.

I last got in contact with this company at the beginning of May and haven’t heard back from him since. I purchased the deal at the end of December last year and have yet to get the work completed.

NOTHING! They were supposed to come and assess the project and stood me up! I have since left messages via phone and email with no response. BUYER BEWARE! If these guys can't use a phone or keep an appointment, do you really want them working on your house?!? I think not. One thing is for sure; I will never buy another Angie's list deal.

Provider was very responsive to my email. He accomodated my schedule and was thorough in explaining what I would need to complete the project.

Giovany and his team did a nice job with some odd jobs in our house. We used Angies list big deal for a Handyman for a day and paid extra over that for additional labor and material costs. We needed the basement entry door replaced by a fire rated door, fix garage holes with fire retardant seal, replace a broken closet door, remove wooden flooring in the attic so that we can insulate it. It took a very long time for him to return our calls and set up an appointment after we bought the big deal(2 months), but once he got in touch he gave his cellphone number and email and was responsive. The work was of good quality and done in a timely manner. His team of 3 finished the work efficiently in about half a day. They were courteous and professional. We asked him to buy the materials himself, and thought that the fire rated door was on the expensive side ($400+). However, it is of a higher fire rating than the Home Depot stuff so I guess it is indeed more expensive. Giovany initially said that the big deal did not cover removal of discarded material after work but went ahead and removed them anyway, which was nice. Overall we are happy with his work and would recommend/ use again for other stuff around our house.

The first time I called him, I was able to leave a message. Now both phone numbers are disconnected. The website link where there used to be a website is now out of service.

Terrible. Its topo long and frustrating to write about, because if I do I will be ranting with anger.

Sunrise arrived promptly when they promised and did the work quickly and professionally. They were willing to come back later to do additional work.

No longer a fan of your deals. You have to pay up front, with no guarantee of service.

This was the most frustrating experience I've had with a contractor. On March 1st I called the phone number listed on the coupon but it ended up being something like a fax. So I emailed the company. I did get a phone call and the contractor came out in a timely manner to review the work (March 9th). Based on the review I added two tiling projects to the initial list and asked him to send me an estimate. I heard nothing for almost a week after which I began a stream of emails. I found it difficult to understand him on the phone, which is why I mostly emailed. It took several days to get an estimate. Unfortunately it was in dollars and not hours. Since I had an 8-hour coupon I needed to see the hours. The estimate seemed way too much for the work they would be doing. In fact, I called in another contractor for the tiling projects and it was significantly less than Sunrise's. It took two days and several emails to get the hourly estimate. On Friday March 22nd, I revised the work list, signed off on the revised proposal and suggested a date for the following week (Tuesday March 26th). I didn't hear from the contractor and so I emailed him the evening of March 24th and again mid-afternoon March 25th. I finally heard from him late that afternoon saying they would be out the next day. I think it was my threat to cancel the job and request a refund that got him to respond. Luckily I was able to take the day off from work. Two men arrived on Tuesday and did most of the work. They missed one of the holes, which I now have to patch/paint myself. The work was basically done okay but I was so glad to get it done so I would never have to contact this company ever again. In hindsight I should have read all the reviews on your site instead of just looking at the clip on the coupon.

I have not used them yet; missed the expiration date. Terribly designed survey which does not offer anywhere to state I did not use the service because I missed the expiration date other than here in this box. Redesign your polling surveys to allow for nonuse of contractors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Workers were very pleasant and did a nice job. Bannister price was good, but staining price was higher than expected; staining was a last minute decision by owner.
