Great, they were very responsive even though I was calling very late on a Friday night. They came over first thing the next morning and were able to quickly clear out the pipes so we could have the party. Then came back a few days later for a more extensive look at the problem and they were able to determine that the real issue was actually a repaired pipe in the road. They arranged for the city to come out and correct the issue and we have had no further problems.

BEWARE! VERY EXPENSIVE! $275! For less than an hours work on my kitchen sink mid afternoon on a non-holiday, they had the nerve to charge $275! Two weeks before I used Crescent Plumbing for my upstairs sink. They charged $140 (which is no bargain) for a more challenging unclogging. Richie and his son did the work satisfactorily, but check what they will charge you first. Another plumber to avoid is Silco. According to Richie, they would have charged me $450! It is critical to ask the fee the plumber will charge, I guess. Pricing is all over the place based on what they think they can get away with.

I called early in the morning and caught him just as he was on his way to another job. As I was on the way, he stopped before the other job. He knew it wouldn't take long to fix the problem. The time from my initial phone call to writing a check for services provided was less than 30 minutes. Given that we had a blocked toilet in our 1 bathroom house, the quickness was great. The only place where I could even possibly comment negatively, is that it took him a long time to answer the phone. I was about ready to hang up.

Richie was a life saver on Thanksgiving morning. He came over at 9am within an hour of our call. We were on our way to the airport for the holidays when water was backing up in the toilet and tub. Richie knew what needed to be done and worked with our upstairs neighbor since we had to leave to catch our flight. It was a little expensive, but given it was Thanksgiving can't complain. Richie to the rescue!

Came right away, within half an hour. Very pleasant and quick. Excellent job.

A friend gave us Richie's name and recommended Snake-It-Away after we found that a pipe had burst in our basement on Friday night. We called and set up a time on Saturday morning for the company to come out and repair the issue. Two workers showed up (on time, to their credit), assessed the job, then left to "get materials" to fix the broken pipe. Several hours passed and no one returned so my husband called Ritchie and left a message on his voicemail. Two hours and no response later, he called back and again got voicemail. Several more hours passed and I called Ritchie from my cellphone. This time, he picked up and I when I asked what had happened and why no one had returned to complete the job, he said that, "they were really busy." I asked why no one had even bothered to call and let us know that it might be a while, and his reply was that his employees had been told to "just do an assessment and give an estimate." They were NEVER intending to come back for repairs the same day! I was shocked and told Ritchie that they had informed us that they were leaving to *get materials* for the repair. He basically told me that they shouldn't have done that and then proceeded to quote me his repair estimate. As if I'd be interested in using his company at that point! No apology for the poor customer service and miscommunication. I ended the call by saying that we were going to keep looking for estimates.

They were quick, immediate response. Very impressive! Did a good job.

I had a clogged tub drain. They came fast, and they really know what there doing. I would use them again and highly recommend them.

They sent a guy out to check on a clog in my main sewer line. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly, work around the shoddy configuration of the clean out in the basement floor, and deal with the clog in under an hour. He recommended a couple other options to me if the clog returned in the future, but didn't turn it into a sales pitch. He cleaned up after himself, and was in an out in great time. The price, anywhere you go, is kind of steep for a standard snaking service ($250 - I used a $20 Angie's List coupon and paid $230), but it's fair in comparison to renting a snake myself for $50 and wallowing in misery for a few hours. He even told me that more prospective buyers (we just bought our home last month) are having companies like Snake It Away come to inspect their plumbing during the inspection period. Smart! I'd hire them again.

We called at the beginning of the week to set up an appointment for Friday at 8am as we had the day off. As of 8:45, no one had shown up at our house. When my husband called, the man had no idea who we were or that we had an appointment. He asked for our address, and told us he would sent someone out as soon as he could. We told him never mind, and hung up. He then found our phone number and called back. He then said he had gotten caught up at a job, and was running late----neither of which he mentioned in the original call. After reading the reviews on Angie's list, I am very surprised at what happened today. Even so, I can not wait all day for a company that may or may not show up, I am very disappointed.

They came and snaked the drain and then they lectured me about what I should put down the drain, which was kind of annoying. They did what they were supposed to do. I think the price was reasonable. I didn't like the lecturing. I think there are better ways to inform people of what they should or shouldn't put in their garbage disposal.

arrived on time, accessed the problem; brought tools in and solved the problem within minutes. cleaned up after himself nothing has every gone this simple and fast. thank you Mark.

Richie, the owner, called to let me know when someone would be arriving. Mark arrived within 15 minutesnaMark was terrific. He worked hard, was incredibly nice, explained what he did and why.He was careful about making sure that the water from the pipes was caught by a barrel and dumped it when he was finished. Everything was cleaned up. A pleasure. I'd highly recommend Snake-It-Away

We had a large gathering at the church that night and heavy downpour of rain outside. I was informed that the drains in the basement restrooms was seeping water and sewer. Soon the sewer water reached the carpet. We had a wet vac removed some water but not able to stop all I contacted Snake it Away and Richie sent crew within the hour to clear the main drains.

I liked them; the process was very pain free. They were quick, fast and did not bother me. They came, did then job and then left. I did not have to chase after them to have them come out to do the work.

I called about a clogged bathtub drain and had people here within an hour to clean it out. Clean out took about 10 minutes total. Quick, easy transaction- $125, minus $20 Angie's List coupon.

As above: they came, they power-snaked, I paid, they left. Simple as that. I hated paying $125 for 5 mins of work, but that's the price of a working sink, I suppose...

My main concern is that my driveway drain frequently plugs up with leaves and sand and I needed a solution. Snake-it-away proposed connecting the drain (that now runs to a drywell) instead to the main sewer line. After thinking about it, I see two big problems with this solution. (1) What if the leaves and sand plug up the main sewer line? Then I would have a sewer back up in my house! (2) I doubt that it is legal to direct rain water run off into the sewer line. Instead I got another company to build me a better dry well that was able to take the hurricane downpour.

incredibly responsive. richie picked up the phone on the 2nd ring. they did the job within 24hrs of my first call. fast and professional. really nice guys, too. couldn't have asked for better service!

We've had a slow drain in the bathtub for a while. Really got bad in the last month. Called Snake-it-Away based on Angie's List reviews. Made an appointment on 2/7 for 8:30 am. The plumber showed up a little early even, which was fine since I needed to go to work after the appointment. Took him about 20 minutes to clear the drain. I got my $20. Angie's list discount. I haven't showered, but it looked like it was running great.

I called on Monday afternoon and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday morning at 8:30. Around 7pm on Monday Richie called to say he had an emergency and wouldn't be able to come until the early afternoon and would call me when he knew an exact time. On Tuesday he called at 1:15pm to say that he would arrive at 2:30pm. He arrived with an assistant at 2:30 and were able to very quickly clear the drain. The price was $125 ($105 with Angie's List coupon) It's great to shower without standing in inches of water!

Called first thing in the morning - they were in the area and came within 60 minutes. Solved it within 1 hour. Did not get the Angie's discount (forgot), but got a good price anyway.

They were a little slow in showing up (apparently they were moving their office that day). They did call and update us on when the plumber should show up. We have a fairly large house, and the sewer run is quite long. The plumber who showed up worked very hard and was very nice. He didn't have an assistant with him, so he did all the work himself. I believe he said he had 130 feet of large snake in his truck, and he used every inch of it (the drain cleared when he was about 6 " from the end of the snake). The plumber was very knowledgeable. We'd hire them back.

Overall they did the job well and even cleaned up an outside drain free of charge however it took three days to get someone to stop by.

The repair went very well. SNAKE-IT-AWAY diagnosed the problem in about 30 minutes and returned the next day to make the repair in about an hour. They were very professional on the phone and in person.
