Sergio's Renovations

They did a wonderful job. Sergio is accessible and happy to help the client. The job was done very fast and with much care to detail. Sergio wanted to ensure that we were happy with the final results. He listened to our ideas and gave us his input but never deviated from our requests.

Sergio is professional and courteous. His phone sometimes does not take messages, but he always returns the calls promptly. His tile guy is great, and did a wonderful job on our bathroom floor. We would definitely consider hiring him again when we redo our kitchen floor. His carpenter people put up the walls really efficiently. The sliding pocket doors apparently are not that common, and therefore the locking mechanism caused a little problem. Sergio worked with us on that, and provided a solution that was very satisfactory. Sergio was willing to arrange things and accommodate our schedule. Due to a family situation, I needed to be ready to fly to the other coast at very short notice. I told Sergio this, and he did his best to finish quickly so that I would be free to leave sooner. Sergio made sure that his people are all very aware of the condo association rules and keep the working area and outside hallways clean. As new owners, we really appreciate that.

Sergio was very professional from start to finish. He came to every appointment on time-his estimate was fair, and the final price came in at estimate. His crew did an excellent job, treated my property with respect, and after the job was done, they put everything back in place as it was when they started. Sergio also had good advice on the execution of my plan and some of my choices. His ideas were better, and were not significantly expensive either. This was one of the best overall experiences I have had with a contractor-reasonable price, great workmanship, showed up on time, finished on time-what more do you look for????

Sergio is THE MAN!! I can not rave about this guy enough, professional, punctual, accommodating, the list goes on!! He was right on with the appraisal, both $ and time(1 day, 7:30am till 2pm)! I'm still stunned at how good everything looks, including the additional work done at no additional charge!!(I have 2 floor to ceiling built-in shelves that I said he could just stop at on one side and continue on the other, but they lowered the shelving crown to make way for the crown above and it looks soooooooooooo good!!) Man, I can't say enough about this guy, he will make you happy you called! I'm excited about all those projects I've put aside that I now have someone I trust to give me a great price for great work!

I called Sergio after hearing such wonderful reviews. We immediately scheduled a time to meet for an estimate. Sergio came exactly on time and for the rest of the job Sergio and his staff were always professional and punctual. I appreciated Sergio's expertise and suggestions and willingness to answer all of my many questions. Throughout the entire process, Sergio was available to talk through any changes and questions that came up. The best part is that the bathroom looks absolutely wonderful and I have already hired them for another job. Thank you Sergio!

Sergio was very prompt and responsive to my initial inquiries. At the first meeting, he visited the site, gave an estimate, wrote a contract and scheduled a day to do the work. He and two men arrived at 8AM on the work day and they were finished in an hour. They did quite a thorough job as they put in a large number of 4x4's under the porch to prop up the beams, plus they placed 3/4" thick plywood on the floorboards to evenly distribute the weight. Overall, I was quite please with their work and now am ready to move the piano.

Sergio and his tile master John are unbelievable. On time, clean up, precision work and correct pricing.

Sergio's team did an excellent job. All of his workers were prompt, hard working, and polite. They replaced the staircase in one day so we never had a major issue with access to our condo. All of the workers were very detail oriented, spotting damage to the walls and moulding that I had missed and fixing them at no additional charge. The workers cleaned up every day and were all very professional. Our project was a small one compared to others but Sergio's team treated us very well and we were very impressed with the work.

Sergio responded promptly to our inquiry, came out and bid the job at our convenience. He scheduled the job and then started the job as promised. He was clear about what he would be doing and his cost. His bid was labor only (the job price quoted above included all materials) and he told us what to expect our cost would be on materials. He and his workmen came when expected, worked each day and finished the job as scheduled. When misunderstandings arose they were dealt with directly, with concern and Sergio made certain that we were satisfied with all resolutions. He remained available by telephone throughout the job and saw to all final details.

From start to finish this project went smoothly and quickly. The workers were tidy and respectful of everything in our home. The paint job was excellent and we are thrilled with our new rooms. We are using Sergio's Renovations for our kitchen job.

Sergio is extremely professional. He and his crew were always on time, protected areas not to be painted, and most importantly prepped uneven areas to perfection. Sergio has a keen eye for detail and he is a perfectionist painter. His crew possess this same eye for detail and are polite guys who did a spotless clean up job each day. Our walls and ceilings look perfect. The job was started and completed right on schedule. The final cost matched the estimate. Sergio is great to work with, honest and personable. He made a final inspection and made sure that we were happy with the work. We would also like to add that the hardwood floor installer he recommended did a fantastic job as well. We would highly recommend Sergio and would use him again for future renovations.

At the beginning I had to call 2-3 times, but I never left a message. When I succeeded to talk with Sergio he was very busy, but was anyway very kind and set an appointment. He came in time (actually even early, as he has always done later on) and discussed the plan. Sergio has been very helpful with ideas and also with suggestions for places where to purchase the materials we needed. He has a crew of very hard workers, very competent and helpful. Sergio showed up a Sunday morning at 7:30 to solve a serious problem, just himself and one of his co-workers and he did solve it. He is in fact a problem solver. I already suggested Sergio to one of my friends and I highly recommend him for this kind of work

Sergio came to do the estimate the same day that I called... very prompt, very professional, listened to what I wanted, made good suggestions within my price range and gave me confidence in his ability to do a good job. He scheduled the work the same week. The workers were neat, quiet and speedy, but did a very nice job. He returned the following week to caulk where the grout dried and shrunk.

THEY WERE VERY NICE, BUT JUST A LITTLE PRICEY BASED ON THE ESTIMATE AND COMPARED TO OTHER PRICES GIVEN. HE EVEN TOLD ME TO GO WITH A DIFFERENT CONTRACTOR BECAUSE HE WAS BETTER PRICED.

Job 1: He picked up the materials/fixtures. When we talked he understood my likes/dislikes & made suggestions. He brought floor tile samples & I chose one. Sergio & crew are fantastic! Sergio is a small operation & will return call as soon as possible. Takes pride in his work. AAA+++. Job 2: Fantastic! Sergio & his crew bent over backwards to make this as easy as possible. Sergio talked w/us to understand what we wanted/brought samples. His choices were excellent - this saved us a lot of time & trips to diff stores. We encountered a problem that had nothing to do w/Sergio's work - our new dishwasher developed a leak due to a manufacturing defect. Sergio's crew came over, diagnosed & solved the problem, disconnected the water & power to the unit (the appliance store service won't do any of this) & reconnected. I offered to pay for the additional srvc b/c the problem had nothing whatsoever to do with Sergio's work. But he declined the payment for the extra srvc. I couldn t be happier.

Was very easy to reach by cell. Arranged an estimate appointment within a week. Told me that it might take 2 to 3 weeks to schedule, but then called me a week later and told me he could squeeze my job in, because there was a "lull" in the bigger project he was currently doing. Sent over 2 of his guys to tile (my only concern was that they were primarily Portuguese speaking, but since my job was straightforward, I could communicate what I needed in my rudimentary Spanish). Sergio was always available by cell phone if I could not communicate. The guys came at 7:30 am each morning, worked almost nonstop "until you kick them out" (in Sergio's words). A mistake was made in the grout color, but they quickly came back and had the problem remedied right away. His plumber was also quick and efficient with the toilet and vanity installation. Finished the job in 3 1/2 days, within estimated time. A great experience altogether!

Excellent! The finished work is beautiful, and Sergio was thorough in every phase. He was generous with his time and answered a hundred questions patiently. The work was done within the promised time-frame, and his workers did MORE than promised at the same price. Also, they were very clean, careful, and respectful. I was lucky I found Sergio, and he will be first on my list if I ever need more work.

OUTSTANDING. Sergio and his team were extremely professional from start to finish. The estimate was thorough and fair, and the final cost was on the money. They excelled at solving problems creatively. Sergio brought in excellent subcontractors when necessary and made great suggestions about where and what to purchase along the way. In any job of this magnitude there were various issues that arose unforeseen architectural constraints, mis-communications, workmanship errors, but Sergio always responded promptly and thoroughly. There pricing was extremely fair, and there was no nickel and dimming whatsoever. They arrived promptly and cleaned up well every day. [The only problem we had was dust, they could have been more thorough about putting plastic sheeting up to contain the dust from sanding, carpentry, etc.] In sum, I cannot imagine getting a job done this well at this price.

Very good. When Sergio came to give us the quote, he clearly explained the work that needed to be done and the size of door we needed to buy. He also worked on getting the current door to latch better to improve the draft situation as a temporary fix. Several weeks later we called to schedule the appointment, and he came with two workers, who did the work. They were very good about laying out dust cloths and cleaning up, and were finished in several hours. He called a week later to give us the bill. Only complaint is that Sergio's voice mail is often full so phone communication can be difficult and you have to be persistent.

I called the company 4 times in 2 weeks and never received a callback. If this is the best drywall company on the list, I'd hate to see the worst.

I have called and left messages several times and they are very unresponsive.

Sergio came exactly when he promised and quoted prices as we walked through the house and followed that with a written estimate. We scheduled the work and the carpenters showed up on time. His crew worked 9-12 hours a day with only a short lunch break. They sealed off the rooms not being renovated and every night cleaned the dust and removed construction waste. Every member of the crew was polite and helpful. I was unable to remove the furniture and they moved it around and put it back when they were finished. I was concerned that they installed the floor before they painted, but no problem. Not one drop of paint on my new floor! They completed most of the work in 4 1/2 days just before Christmas. They returned after New Years to do the stairs. When they finished there were a few minor aesthetic issues and Sergio wouldn't let me pay until I was completely satisfied. An unbelievable satisfying experience.

Sergio came out for an initial visit in the fall, and was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. He needed his plumber to look at the job before providing an estimate, and so we had the plumber come and take a look. Hearing nothing back, we called Sergio late in December, he hadn't prepared an estimate, and had forgotten the details, so he volunteered to come back. He did so, and another month passed with no estimate. Early February, we contacted him for the estimate and to talk about a possible change in the floor plan, he generously came out to look at the job site again. We had a "drop-dead" date in mid February for accepting another contractor's bid, and told Sergio this, "he promised a proposal within a couple of days. Several days passed, and we left a message that at this point, we needed the bid ASAP, or we couldn't go ahead with him. Never heard from him again.

I called Sergio twice and he never returned my call despite my explaining that I got his name from Angie's List. These two calls were placed several weeks apart.
