We needed our driveway repaved which was a problem given a drain pipe was under the pavement. Other companies either ignored our phone calls or didn?t bother giving us a quote once they saw our driveway. Mystic Paving had no problem with it. I also appreciated that the owner was overseeing the job. They did excellent work on paving our driveway and provided excellent customer service as well! We were happy to find them!

I received quotes from three vendors. The other vendors, who both got A's on Angie's list, were more than twice the price for the same exact job. This is the first time I used Angie's list and I don't understand how the other vendors received an A rating on price, since they were more than twice the price we paid for the same work. Bobby's crew showed up with all the necessary equipment on time, as scheduled.(It's amazing what actually goes into this kind of work.) They performed the work carefully and professionally. They cleaned up after themselves and they did a great job! Bobby and Louise are people of their word. The only thing is that they are very busy, so the work needs to get scheduled in, which is certainly understandable. We would certainly use them again if and when we have the need!

Unlike some of the pavers we spoke with, Mystic Paving was very willing to help us reconstruct our asphalt driveway with embedded brick sidewalk areas. The brick areas had sunk relative to the asphalt, and the general suggestion was that we should eliminate the brick. We weren't willing to do this and Mystic suggested we lay the brick over the asphalt base course to give it greater stability, sealing the brick joints with poly-sand. We'll see how it does in the long run but so far it has held up well. Mystic was also helpful in dealing with special cases such as the landscape timbers and a pipe chase under the new driveway for running a garden hose. They were able to provide their own people to do the brickwork and arranged for a landscaping subcontractor to take care of the timber work in coordination with the paving work, saving us the trouble of hiring and scheduling a separate contractor. Our driveway is in a particularly dense area of Cambridge, with many abutters and street parkers. Mystic worked with the Cambridge construction-parking-permit person to limit their use of on-street parking. The driveway is also quite long and narrow and Mystic had the appropriate equipment to negotiate the small spaces. We were also on a tight schedule with winter and the end of the paving season not far off, but Mystic was able to fit us in and complete the job quickly, limiting the amount of time we had to park on the street. Overall, this was a pleasant experience with a complicated project that had the potential to be very unpleasant..

Mystic Paving installed a dry well and drain pipe system in our backyard to handle storm water drainage. They arrived on time, and very quickly use the excavator to dig the holes and trenches needed. The team of workers were very efficient and skilled. They ran into some obstacles due to there being a lot of rock beneath the surface of our yard. The team had to do a lot of digging by hand. Even when faced with some challenges they kept on problem-solving until they succeeded. We are very pleased with the final result!
