Joy Floors - Medford

Contacted Mike after a recommendation from a friend. Quickly got back to me a came out to look at the job (refinishing and repairing areas where radiators had previously been). He was very polite and timely. Sent me a quote after a few days which seemed reasonable. Ultimately I decided to wait on the job but I would have used him otherwise.

We had used them about a year ago when we had all the floors in the house refinished but at the time we decided that since the floors upstairs weren't that bad we would just have them buffed and re-polyed. We had to do the entire first floor since we were weaving in some new floors with old. The fact that the first floor stain didn't match the second floor was something that just kept kind of bothering me. Plus, as we found out, if the previous people had used wax based products to clean the floors there was a chance that the new ploy would not adhere as well. We ended up finding that some of the new poly upstairs was flaking and just decided go have the upstairs done right. Mike at Joy Flooring is very responsive, if they were running late they would text to let me know ahead of time. They made sure to put up a barrier between the upstairs and downstairs to minimize the amount of dust that got downstairs since we were living in the house during the process. They made sure to check in along the way and I have to say they did a great job. So much happier now that all the floors match throughout the house.

They were very punctual and easy to communicate with via phone/txt/email. The price and quality of service was excellent. Our floors look so amazing now.

Joy Floors were very responsive and open to scheduling around our needs. It was clear on day 2 that the job was a bit more involved than they anticipated, but that did not stop them from working late in order to meet the promised deadline. The only downside of the job is that they left several bags of trash outside that we had to take care of (as Malden uses special bags and bins for trash collection). The floors are absolutely perfect and we are routinely complimented with how beautiful they are.

The guy came and gave me an estimate, which was very reasonable. Therefore, I immediately said yes and we set up a date. He came, he did the floor, and everything was perfect.

It was great.. I had asked for several quotes and this was the lowest by a few hundred dollars.. I had used the company about 6 years ago when it was owned by the uncle of the current owner so it was hard to track them down as the name had changed.. I was glad I put the work into it.. They called to let me know the start date, came on time and were a pleasure to have in the house.. They cleaned up every day when finished, their work was finished on time and their quality excellent. I would not hesitate to use them again.
