Gutter Shell of New England

All team, from sales to the installers, we punctual and professional. Price is on the higher side for gutters but I believe it is a quality product and it comes with warranty. Gutters were installed ahead of schedule, took the estimated time for the job, and the team even swept up our front steps afterwards. Would highly recommend.

In august 2015, they installed their gutters on half my house. it worked well as a leaf guard all year long but part of their gutter seemed to get many icycles. The system and downspouts always worked well, never blocked in 3 years so i was satisfied with how the system worked even with the icycles. In november2018, I called and asked them for an estimate to install their gutter shells on the other half of the house. While they installed, they figured out some ideas on how to adjust the drip edges on the older gutter shells to mitigate the icycle problem I described.

This is a long overdue review as the work was performed last year ('17). Steve was great to work with and assisted us in choosing the correct gutter size (6") and color to replace some undersized wooden gutters. Steve came out several times to explain all this and had samples to help visualize the gutter size and the gutter shell itself. The gutters perform flawlessly even in torrential rain and require no cleaning. I did have to add an inside corner splashguard and another splashguard at a valley coming off of a sloped roof and all is working perfectly. We are very pleased with the function of the Guttershell system. The installers worked very hard and did a great job with the exception of some of the seams I was not that pleased with, but I am a perfectionist as Steve figured out. He came out to look and we did not quite see eye to eye on the issue, and I never heard back from Steve, but I do understand to a degree. It would be great if the Guttershell extrusions could be continuous/seamless similar to the gutters! The installers did cut an electric line that was in between the fascia and the old wooden gutters, but this was not their fault at all (who installs Romex outside the fascia?). The installers spliced it back together and all seemed to work until we tested some other lights on that circuit, but I did have an electrician come back to sort out. Overall, we are very pleased with the system and highly recommend to anyone looking to install gutters.

Dave came out and gave a quote to replace our Gutters. They did a great job and were very professional. The Gutter Shell is slightly more expensive than normal gutters, but the great thing is you never have to clean them. We have an older home with a slate roof. The crew was able to make the gutters look great and ensure we don't have excess water running off the roof.

I've had these gutters, caps and downspouts for for nine months now and I have to say they are wonderful. We had a lot of leaves and pine needles this past fall and not one clog. Dave came out right away and gave me an estimate, which was very fair. He was very pleasant and helpful. His crew was very nice and took the time to show me the work they had done and to point out trouble spots I had. They cleaned up everything very well. I told my parents about them and they had them installed on their house and love them too. All in all a great experience and would definitely recommend and use again.

We are most impressed with the service and quality of materials provided by Gutter Shell. After our initial phone call to their office, Dave stopped by our house promptly to review our needs and explain the product with samples and services. He also provided very fair estimates of price, duration of required work, necessary lag time of service, warranties and answered all our questions promptly. After a few days evaluating the product concept and qualities we gave it a go and paid a deposit. The service was completed sooner than anticipated since the company served another client in the same town and Dave gave us a phone call notification 2 days in advance of the actual service date. The two Gutter Shell representatives showed up on time and executed their job professionally. We will hire Gutter Shell again when we will have to replace the roof in some years and will need to have the gutter guards temporarily removed and reinstalled after the new roof is in place. The process and expected estimated costs have already been explained by Dave to us.

I think it was a bit expensive, but I am happy with the results. Seems to be working well, and no longer need to clean gutters!

We did a lot of research on different options, including speaking to an engineer friend who works with different water systems. We ultimately went with Gutter Shell, which on the front was a higher investment cost but the work was beautifully done and you can't beat the no clog warrantee. Dave was very responsive and answered all of our questions very thoroughly. Scott and Tom who did the installation work were very polite and professional and did a beautiful job.

We were expecting to wait a few weeks as explained. They called and came out in a weeks time. There was absolutely no evidence they had been there except that the install was compete! Awesome clean up and fast! We did continue with leaks although not as bad. I called Steve and they returned without a problem and fixed everything. I am so glad to have done this. No more leaky gutters and no more gutter cleaning!! Thanks to Angie's list we got $1000 off the $5500 price!!

Quick and extremely neat. Issues remain with one area of repair, however, we believe it is the not the fault of gutter shell. Rain does come over the shell and pours off areas that are lower. It has been nice not having to clean the gutters. Very knowledgeable and considerate. We went to work in the morning and when we returned home, it was completed. Not one nail or piece of debris to be seen! Also very responsive to calls and concerns after installation.

The service was prompt and the workers were courteous. They finished the job with great professionalism and cleaned up the area nicely. I would definitely recommend them for gutter related work.

Great! David came out and met with my husband and I on a Saturday only a few days after contacting him for an estimate. We have a couple of gutters that have been an issue with getting clogged and not properly draining. David gave us a price for the whole house to have gutter shells put on. Based upon the reasonable estimate - We decided to have gutter shells installed around the whole house. David worked with us and our schedule. They came the week they said they would - David called the day before and his two man work crew arrived as promised. The guys were great and very conscientious of not leaving anything behind. The gutter shells look and work great! We highly recommend David and his people at Gutter Shell of New England!

David is the salesman for my gutter job,was a pleasure to deal with. He came out to the house to meet with me to discuss the project. He had a great personality being very friendly. He told me exactly what his crew would do, and was very knowledgeable about the particulars of my house. Finally, as an Angie's list member I was given a discount on the job, always a good thing. Regarding Tom and another guy, the crew that installed my gutters were great guys who were extremely professional, and efficient. They installed my gutters just as David told me they would. I also had a missing piece of vinyl siding near the top of my house. Tom told me what to get, I got the piece and he quickly added installing the piece to the job.The job done was an A+ job. Tom and his coworker were friendly, great workers and I would recommend both the salesman and this crew to anyone who needs gutters installed on your house.

Dave from Gutter Shell of New England was great and brought in a very skillful crew to replace my gutters and install leaf guards. I was very happy with the work they did and I would recommend them to others. Dave is the kind of person that I like to work with.

The sales representative was on time, answer all my questions, very professional. After calling because of slight mix up with installation request, they installed within a week. Within a couple of days of installation, first rain storm, leaves stuck until they dried, then they just blew away, looks great! Not sure about winter, I do have a roof rake for the heavy snow, but with this type of gutter it seems like it is perfect for all the New England seasons. I originally was just looking for a closed gutter system on the high side of the house, but the price was very reasonable, and the gutter system is a great concept that I had all the gutters covered . A two person crew showed up on time, and finished early in about 2 hours. Once they were on the roof, they inspected the gutters and used some tools to repair a couple gutter problems. They showed me the system they were going to use and answered all of my questions. I was surprised how fast they worked and how easy it was. All I needed to provide was a hose so they could test the system Wnen they were done, everything was spotless, there was nothing to clean up. They said they have a lot of good experiences with this gutter-shell system and said most of the time, solves the ice problems. They said if I have any problems or have any questions, give them a call and they'll look it over to see what is happening. I looked at a lot of alternatives and Gutter Shell was not the cheapest but also not the most expensive. I selected them because their Angie reviews and also, their system made sense to me, seemed like a better approach than the alternatives

These guys were a pleasure throughout. They called back right away, came out over the weekend for an estimate, were thorough and professional in their proposal. They came when they said they would, kept me apprised of their progress, worked through blazing hot days and cleaned up the yard beautifully. We've yet to go through any real storms with the new gutters, but we're very happy thus far. You can get much lower bids, but we wanted a no-maintenance system and thought their professionalism was well worth the money.
