Tom and his apprentice were fantastic. They wore booties to keep our house clean, were punctual, and very professional. They also performed a great job. They didn't honor my coupon, which I had to follow-up on to receive credit for - that was my only issue. Would definitely use again.

The service was wonderful. I called and they gave me a convenient appointment for the following week. I told them what I needed done and they gave me an approximate estimate over the phone. They said they would call when they were on their way to my house. The day of service, they phoned and said they could come earlier if I wanted - that worked out perfectly. The time spent and the estimate for the work was spot on! A great job, fair pricing and wonderful customer service. I will definitely call them again. Kudos to Gibbons!

Gibbons Electric did an excellent job replacing an existing ceiling fan and light fixture. Mike and Lorenzo were extremely knowledgeable, professional and detail oriented. They explained the work project and completed the job in one hour. They called before they arrived, wore covering on their shoes, and placed a drop cloth in the work area. They made certain that the work site was clean before they departed. I would definitely recommend Gibbons Electric to members of Angie?s List and I will definitely use the services of Gibbons Electric for future electrical projects.

It went great. Everyone at Gibbons Electric were great, from the person calling me back promptly to give me an over the phone estimate to the scheduler to the Electricians themselves. I had called 2 other local vendors first and neither of them even got to the point where we got to schedule an appointment. So I was very pleased when everyone at Gibbons was helpful and did what they said they would. The day of the appointment I got a call 15 minutes before they arrived on time to let me know they would be here on time, which they were. They got right to work laying down drop clothes and getting everything set up. The work they did was both quick but also done well. They added a power outlet near where my TV is mounted. They also ran 2 HDMI cables from behind the TV to where I have the cable box about 10? away. They did great work with both of those projects. I also asked that they do some smaller tasks like swap out some outlets with ones with USB plugs and they did that happily for me and replaced a faulty outlet on the side of my house. They did all of this in under 3 hours. When it time for them to leave they cleaned everything including sweeping up, and using cleaning solution on the floor. They left my house cleaner than they had found it. Harry and Bobby were very professional, friendly and most importantly did a great job. The final cost came in very close to the estimate. I will definitely use Gibbons Electric again when I need an electrician.

Gibbons returned calls promptly. Haruk & Bobby came on time, did the work efficiently, were concerned about the leaving the work sites clean. Cleaned up very well.

Called around to a number of places and Gibbons was the first to respond and the only one who was able to schedule me in for the next day. Explained that the cathedral ceilings made the fire alarms hard to get to so they requested a photo in order to have the correct sized ladder to reach and fix the problem. They provided a 2 hour timeframe for ETA, and the first electrician called to provide tme estimate but then got called into a last minute job so they had to send another crew. He was very nice and explained the issue and called the other crew to provide very quick new time estimates which was very helpful.The new crew was able to come over right away, so everything took place within the 2 hour window they'd originally estimated anyways. 2 electricians came for the job and they were very courteous and went right to work. Job took about 30-40 minutes. $140 service charge plus the cost of the 2 alarms (around $28/each) plus taxes= $210.

Soon after my cleaning ladies left, I went to the kitchen to fix supper. I found my stove, microwave, toaster oven and radio dead. I went to the electric box; none of the switches was out of place. So I switched all of them off and on again, but nothing happened. I called my son and he didn't know what to do. Then I went to Angie's list and found a company, Gibbons Electric, which was local and offered emergency service. I called and left a message on their voice mail. Within minutes, I received an answer. The caller said he thought we could resolve the problem over the telephone, and he guided me step-by-step through the process. In just a few minutes everything was working again; he said the cleaning people may have overloaded the circuit by plugging a vacuum into an already loaded circuit. I had been scared to death, but it was a simplel problem with a simplel solution and quickly resolved. As an elderly person, living alone, I find small problems may loom over large. I was very upset to find all my means of cooking unavailable and no idea how bad it might be or how expensive. Not only was the problem fixed, but I learned something about my electrical system that I could use in the future, and I certainly found a company I will call when a serious electrical situation arises. My son is also eager to use them for serious work at his house.

I called Gibbons Electric to inquire about coming out to box and install one ceiling light. There was a specific day that we were going to be home, and Gibbons worked with me to accommodate our schedule. They said that they would be there on that day within a two hour window. Between scheduling and date of service, we decided that we wanted to change out another ceiling light. I called Gibbons to see if they could once again accommodate our request, and they assured me that they could do both tasks. I explained that the light was in a difficult to reach area, and the office noted that the workmen would bring along a ladder that would help in the job. On the date of service, they called about 30 minutes ahead of time to give an estimated arrival time, and they were there by that time (and well within the original window that was quoted on the phone). They worked quickly and professionally, even stopping to answer questions we had about another electrical concern. They were able to install both lights within an hour, and the place was spotless when they left. We couldn't be happier with our service from Gibbons. As a bonus, they gave ten percent off for Angie's List members!

I was very pleased because both the doorbell transformer buzzer and the loud, intermittent buzz of a circuit breaker were amplified by the wall, and my bed is on the other side, so both noises were audible from bed. The loud periodic buzz was almost like an alarm that could keep me up at night! They offered to use unused circuit breakers already in the panel - save me $. Said that replacing the transformer might not make a difference. So I was pleased that they were not trying to talk me into getting things I didn't need. I ultimately suggested we use new breakers and a new transformer - and both my buzzing problems were resolved - but I appreciated their money saving suggestions! And the breaker & transformer were not expensive. Worth it to have new ones! Because I just moved into the house, they asked if there was anything else I wanted them to look at, which was thoughtful (of course it means they do more work and earn more money, but their asking truly felt well intended). They answered a few basic questions for me which was helpful. My only critique is that they sent 2 electricians to look at a circuit panel, clearly a one person job. I know, however, that this is the standard for all plumbers & electricians. So I still gave Gibbons an "A" on price because their price was fair and within the norm, and the workers were good & efficient, not dragging out the time. And I can think of reasons to send 2 people, but of course, it is also not a great deal for the homeowner when it turns out to be a 1 person job! Just wanted to note my questioning of this industry practice - not just their practice.

The estimator was great. He helped to walk me through everything that was needed (permits, coordination with plumber). Installation went great. There was a small problem after the plumber had left, and they sent someone out on a Saturday to fix it. Great service, would use again for large projects.

Everything went well, difficult time removing old exhaust fan but everything work well. Both electricians were pleasant and answered all my questions and more. Gibbons electric removed all my knob and tube and rewired the whole house several years ago and did an excellent job then. I will use them for any future electrical needs in the future.

The overall experience with Gibbons was excellent. The two electricians, Mike and Sam were professional, very neat, careful with providing furniture with protection from any debris that might result from the installation. They wore shoe covers. Mike explained the steps of the installation and Sam was very helpful in the setup and breakdown of the installation. They thoroughly cleaned the area of the installation and removed all debris. It was a very positive experience and I will most definitely use Gibbons for my next electrical project.

Replaced the switch on a fan. It was quite satisfactory.

They did a good job. There were two people and it took them about 3 1/2 hours. It was a hard job to do properly and they did a great job. They were reliable and compitent.

My wife and I chose Gibbons Electric based on a recommendation of a friend. We had a positive experience overall from the initial meeting with the person who came to give us an estimate, to the two gentleman who came to install the new panel and electricity to the Garage, to the person who came out to troubleshoot a faulty Thermostat. They were all courteous and professional. Before they left they explained the new fixtures and switches in the Garage and the layout of the new panel in the cellar. They left everything clean. Very happy about this experience working with Gibbons.

I have a washer and a gas dryer. Every time I tried to run them together, the circuit breaker tripped. I chose Gibbons Electric because they offered a reasonable rate compared to other providers in the area, and I had a $25 coupon from them that they sent to households in our neighborhood. A Gibbons Electric master figured out that, at the start time, the dryer consumed 8 AMPs (after it got going - only 5 AMPs), which, together with other equipment, totaled 15 AMPs, and that was enough to trip my 15 AMPs breaker. The master ran a new line for the washing machine, which permanently fixed the problem.
