Description of Work: Reset electrical box to restart electricity. I forgot to tell our new housekeeper that it's not possible to run vacuum and all window AC units at the same time. Came home to find that most house electricity was off. Since none of the switches in my fuse box are labelled, I realized I would need an electrician's help to get the power running again. Called several places only to discover that I would have to pay a steep emergency fee to have someone stop by the house to fix the problem. Called Gibbons and the wonderful person who answered the phone transferred me to "Steve," saying that he could possibly just walk me through it on the phone--as indeed he did. He used FaceTime, I showed him the electrical box, he told me which switches to flip, and two minutes later I had power. THANK YOU, Steve!!! I now have a new electrician. :)

Description of Work: Replaced some overhead lamps and a smoke detector running off mains.

Description of Work: This job was to split a front porch light and stairway lights from one circuit controlled by a timer to separate switches for each unit in the building. We have used Gibbons for numerous projects in our condo for the past 8 years and have been very pleased with the quality of their work and customer service.

Description of Work: Gibbons Electric is thorough and responds quickly to emergency calls. The detailed estimates and invoices are a real plus. Pricing is fair. They talk you thru the problem if possible instead of charging emergency rates. I would recommend these electricians to anyone.

Description of Work: 3 panel upgrade to 100 amp, remove meter to outside of the house,change 3 bigger boxes, 2 extra outdoor outlet, 1 front door post lamp, very happy with the services, jobs well done, I'll use them again.

Description of Work: Installed two wall sconces. They were clean, punctual, and did a good job.

Description of Work: rewired a three way switch that was shorted. They were quite proficient and professional with the electrical wiring work. However another outlet was accidentally grounded and they had to return a few days later to correct. They did not charge for the return visit and were fairly quick about returning. The wall and ceiling repair work was not top quality. Needed to patch and sand before painting but that may be par for the course given their specialty.

Description of Work: HAVE HIRED SEVERAL TIMES FOR VARIOUS JOBS: INSTALLING LIGHT FIXTURES, NEW GFI OUTLETS, REPLACE OUTDOOR LIGHTS. MOST RECENTLY, THEY WERE VERY ACCOMMODATING ABOUT SENDING AN ELECTRICIAN ON SHORT NOTICE TO CONVERT AN OUTLET FOR A NEW ASKO WASHING MACHINE, EVEN THOUGH THEY NO LONGER NORMALLY SERVICE MY AREA (I LIVE IN HARVARD, MA).
