I am very happy with overall experience. The receptionist answering the phone was polite and friendly. One of the electrician's called me back later the same day to give an initial quote and schedule the work. Two electrician's arrived on time for the job and were very thorough in discussing options and performing the work. They were polite, appropriate, and careful. They cleaned up after themselves, even removing the big cardboard box that had contained the light fixture they installed. I have had a number of experiences with electricians and this one was by far the best overall.

It took a little bit of time to get a return phone call and the appointment couldn't be scheduled for a couple of weeks. The electrician was prompt, polite, and worked quickly.

They were very prompt (I called on Friday, and they came to do the work at 9am on Monday) and did a good job.

Prompt, professional, and courteous. They came to my house the day after I spoke with them and took time to explain what they did.

I am extremely pleased with the service that I received from Gibbons Electric. They were the first company to return my call and the person I spoke with was helpful in letting me know what might be involved in the service call. The next day 2 gentlemen arrived promptly in the morning. From the moment that they walked into the house and put on the cloth booties over their work shoes until they left and handed me a couple of Gibbons coffee mugs, they were totally professional and very helpful in answering my many questions. The problems that had worried me were located, explained and quickly cleared up. I will need more work done in the future and will definitely be calling them to do the work.

Ken tried to help me solve the problem myself on the phone. When it didn't work, he sent two men who arrived just 15 minutes later, on a late, very hot Friday afternoon. They quickly found the blown fuse that we had not been able to identify.

The electrician called to say he would be late and arrived within a half hour of his appointed time with an apprentice. They were professional, polite, efficient and reasonable. I was pleased with their work. They were willing to travel from Arlington to Wilmington to complete electrical work for me. I would use them again.

I highly recommend this company. They were always on time, always returned my calls promptly, explained everything to me clearly, and their guys are extremely professional and tidy. Karl the lead electrician on the job kept me informed of everything he was doing and how long he thought it would take. They did a great job on everything and I am happy with their work. I have found it very difficult to find honest, trustworthy electricians, so it was refreshing to have Gibbons be so professional. The only negative thing I have to day about them is that I feel that their pricing is a bit high, but I guess you get what you pay for!

Gibbons sent two electricians for the job. They showed up on time, were courteous and polite, and used dropclothes around where they needed to work. They reviewed what I wanted done and checked in periodically to make sure it was being done satisfactorily. They cleaned up after finishing (with a dust pan no less!) Overall a positive experience.

They were on time, polite, worked efficiently, and did fabulous work.

We called yesterday late, & they came this morning & did the work. A positive experience all around.

I was very impressed by Gibbons. The estimator was prompt and professional, gave a good description of the issues we were facing in an older home, made good recommendations about service upgrades, and committed to a fixed price bid that was very reasonable among the lowest we received. The team was also prompt and hard working, they communicated well about what they'd be doing and when, were careful to check with us when they had to make decisions about solving problems they hadn't foreseen, such as knocking additional small holes in an upstairs hall. The work was professional and looked very sharp. Finally, they cleaned up after themselves. I will definitely use them for all electrical work in the future.

Gibbons was very quick and friendly in calling back to schedule an appointment to do this relatively small job. I had trouble getting other electricians to even call back for a job this small. The two Gibbons electricians called on the morning of the appointment to say they could do the job earlier, which was better for me anyway. They were very fast and neat in doing the job and cleaned up thoroughly. They were in and out in about 1/2 hour. The whole experience was first rate, and the price was very fair. I can highly recommend Gibbons Electric.

Work was performed quickly and neatly.

They were extremely nice and well-organized. They realized I had given some wrong information about the number of smoke alarms we needed and they called the company to bring extra ones within a few minutes. They made the work seem very easy. They were very willing to discuss some extra tasks and gave an accurate estimate for how long those would take to complete. They tidied up well and you can hardly see any marks on our house where they put in the new wiring. They charged $160 per hour for 2 guys plus materials, but they did not take any breaks or waste time. In total the job was expensive but we were happy with it because their verbal estimate was accurate and realistic and we were also very happy with the work they did.

Ken called me back promptly and was able to schedule and appointment right away. He was able to give me an estimate over the phone and was very helpful in explaining what needed to be done. The gentleman showed up on time (early in fact) and because it took him less time than he had anticipated, they charged me less than the estimate. The replacement switch was an updated version of the one that I had. He didn't have any business cards in the truck so he gave me a mug, with the company name, which was a nice perk! I was very pleased with the whole experience and I will definitely use them again.

Over the phone they were very helpful and tried to not have me pay for someone to come out to look at the problem. When someone did come out they charged $100. to tell me I needed new ones. The problem was not the smoke detectors, as they continued to go off after I replaced them all, but a CO monitor in the same room. I would have liked the man who came out to have been able to solve the problem not my family member later in the day.

When the worker came, he figured out that our fixture had burned out. He then left, bought a new fixture, and swapped out the broken part. He was in and out quickly, and did a great job.

I have mixed feelings about Gibbons, but we probably won't use them again. Good things: they stayed pretty close to the estimate. They were generally on time and the senior contractor was professional. Their rough patch job was basically well done. Bad things: One morning at 8:30am, I pulled out of the driveway of my new condo in my new neighborhood only to see the junior contractor *vomiting in the street,* apparently from a hangover. Not the first impression I wanted to give the new neighbors. The guy could have used a bathroom, or gone somewhere in his car, which was next to him, but he didn't. The senior contractor was embarrassed, but not particularly apologetic. Another bad thing: we asked them to remove ALL the knob and tube wiring. They did not! They removed none of what was visible and actually left in an entire circuit. They never communicated clearly about leaving the basement circuit in, especially given that we hired them to remove all the old knob and tube wiring.

The whole experience was very pleasant, timely, and professional.

They came when scheduled, did good work (as far as we can tell, not knowing much about wiring), and completed the job when we expected. We were very pleased.

THEY CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, AND COMPLETED THE WORK IN AN EFFICIENT MANNER.

I CALLED LATE ONE MORNING TO GET STARTED AND WAS TOLD THAT SOMEONE WOULD CALL ME BACK THAT DAY. IT WAS JUST PAST 5 WHEN SURE ENOUGH, KEN CALLED TO DISCUSS WHAT WE WANTED TO DO. HE WAS PATIENT AND LISTENED CAREFULLY BEFORE REPLYING AND ASKING HIS OWN QUESTIONS. I WAS SURE WE WERE COMMUNICATING WELL ABOUT WHAT WAS TO BE DONE -- INCLUDING OPTIONAL SCENARIOS -- BUT WAS SKEPTICAL ABOUT THE FACT THAT NO ONE WOULD COME OUT IN ADVANCE OF DOING THE WORK. KEN EXPLAINED IT WAS ROUTINE WORK AND SMALL ENOUGH OF A JOB THAT THIS WAS NOT REQUIRED, NOR WAS IT THEIR PRACTICE. I'D MET TWO ELECTRICIANS THAT WEREN'T WORKING OUT AND GIBBONS SEEMED REASONABLE AND COMPETENT. WE ORDERED THE FIXTURES AND I CALLED KEN TO (1) BE REASSURED ABOUT THEM JUST SHOWING UP TO DO THE JOB AND (2) SCHEDULE FOR ABOUT 10 DAYS LATER. IT REMAINS TO BE SEEN HOW THE WORK ACTUALLY GOES, BUT I HAVE REASON TO EXPECT THEY WILL DESERVE AN A OVERALL. THEY OBVIOUSLY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND HAVE A GOOD DEGREE OF PROFESSIONALISM.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH GIBBONS HAS BEEN UNIFORMLY POSITIVE. I HAVE USED THEM A NUMBER OF TIMES OVER THE LAST 3 OR SO YEARS, AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PUNCTUAL, COURTEOUS, AND EFFICIENT. THIS LATEST TIME WAS NO EXCEPTION. THEY AGREED TO COME ON SHORT NOTICE TO HELP REMEDY AN ISSUE RAISED IN A HOME INSPECTION. AS ALWAYS, THEY DID A THOROUGH AND EXCELLENT JOB. I RECOMMEND THEM WITHOUT RESERVATION.

GIBBONS WAS WONDERFUL! THEY WERE RIGHT ON TIME, VERY PLEASANT AND FRIENDLY, AND RESPECTFUL OF OUR HOUSE (THEY PUT SLIPPERS ON THEIR FEET SO AS TO NOT TRACK IN DIRT). THEY LEFT THE CEILING SPOTLESS (AS OPPOSED TO OTHER ELECTRICIANS WE'VE HAD, WHO GET DIRTY FINGERPRINTS EVERYWHERE) AND SWEPT UP THE DUST ON THE FLOOR AFTERWARDS. OVERALL THEY WERE EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. I RECOMMEND THEM STRONGLY!
