Gibbons Electric

I was happy with Gibbons Electric and plan to use them again in the future. I needed copies of receipts and other paperwork related to the electrical work they did in order to apply for Mass Save insulation incentives and Gibbons Electric was very responsive --- I especially appreciated this extra level of service.

Outstanding Quality work done by professionals. From my initial contact with Gibbons Electric to my final payment for the job completed, all of the personnel were a pleasure to deal with. They all have a great positive attitude. They kept communications open, so I always knew when my job was scheduled, how long it was going to take, and what I could expect when the job was completed. The new 200amp service panel was clearly installed with quality workmanship. I couldn't believe how neat and clean the job looked. Absolutely Fantastic.

The electricians arrived on time. It took two hours to complete the work. They were polite, professional, and did all of the requested work. The final price was what we expected. Will use them again.

Mike and Lorenzo were awesome (I will call them 'A' team now). They arrived on time and explained to me what they were going to do.They were so polite and professional. They were meticulous and it was fun to watch how systematically they did the job.I mean I literally felt inspired watching these guys perform their work.Highly recommended.Will surely use them for my all future needs.

Adam was polite, professional and clearly experienced. He not only fixed the problems I described, but re-hung the fan in my dining room which had been improperly installed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gibbons (Adam in particular) to anyone. I couldn't be happier with the service and have no complaints whatsoever about anything--including the price!

They came out and said it was going to take all day to do the job I wanted. They said to just run an extension under a rug. How unprofessional is that. They were there for 1.5 hours and charged me an extra $345 above and beyond the $242 I spent on the big deal. So for 2 bad switches, 1 bad outlets, 1 GFCI outlet and replaced a pull string on a fan it cost me $587. This is outrageous for the work that they did and they spent more time walking from my house to their trucks then they spent actually working.

They called to give me the time of arrival. Figured out the problem right away. Asked if there was anything else they could do since I paid for a visit and it took so little time. I had them reverse a dimmer switch that was installed upside down.

A main circuit in my 1950 house stopped working. I called around, and Gibbons replied. They sent a person that day, and they performed the required service. Everything went back on. A couple of weeks later, I found the front and rear doorbells no longer worked. I am now arranging for them to come upgrade my service.

In January 2014, my basement heater of well over a quarter century had finally failed and Gibbons replaced it. In February 2015, the thermostat on then new heater failed resulting in a run away heater and an enormous electric bill. It was one month out of warranty. I contacted Gibbons. An electrician came out and investigated identifying the thermostat as burnt out. He checked and claimed he had ordered a new one. Unfortunately, their computer was down that day and he had phoned it in. They lost the order. A month later I called back asking about the thermostat and they discovered their problem. They reordered and finally reinstalled it at the beginning of April. In the intervening two months, I depended on a small plug-in room heater closely watched.

A+ Highly recommend. From start to finish Adam and Tim were great. They called approximately 20 mins before the start of my early morning appointment to let me know they would be over soon. As soon as they crossed the threshold of the door they put booties on over their work boots which I found highly respectful and were incredibly courteous and professional. I had purchased a 2 hour block of time using Angie's List but I was unaware of how long my main concern would take so I had a few spare projects on the back burner ... Not only did they complete my entire list but while they were working on my list they came across a few odds and ends that they fixed because they were there. I did end up running over my time so there was some additional cost involved but well worth it to address everything in one appointment. They never made me feel rushed or as if my projects were a silly thing ... They did discover a problem with one of my breakers and code violation/safety issue that I was completely unaware of so I will be hiring them again (and requesting the team of Adam and Tim) to do that work once I can get the proper parts.

They called to say they could come early if that worked for me - and it did. They were careful to not bring in a mess on their shoes as they inspected the work that needed to be done. They finishede the work re-routing the wires in less than an hour and then asked if there was anything else they could do while there were sine there. I showed them my light that needed an install and they took care of that as well. They also gave me some advice on another project and then left the house clean as when they showed up and the switched outlets and the light in the shed work fine. Very professional and I would work with them i the future for electirician needs.

Ken and his assistant Bob arrived an hour after they responded to my wife's voicemail earlier in the day. They did an excellent job and tidily cleaned up after themselves. Although we received a 10% Angie's List discount they said they could not provide an estimate in advance and once they arrived we were immediately on the hook for the minimum charge of 1 hour.

I called Gibbons because of our faulty breakers tripping. They were very helpful, professional and kind. I would definitely use them again. Jack and Adam were great to work with.

Adam & Lorenzo were an hour late but called ahead to ask if convenient to come late. I agreed, They arrived when promised answered all questions about process and worked efficiently. Cleaned up as well.
