A very good company, overall very happy with everything. The paint job looks great ,Karla actually picked the colors for me. My home has a lot of detail which I never noticed before. What a difference paint makes. I went with Emanuel Recommendation of Harvey replacement windows. They look and perform great. Thanks again, :)

I had hired coelho contracting before for interior work and was very pleased. I was able to get on their scheduel this spring for exterior painting and exterior repairs. They did a wonderful job, once again. It is nice to know there is good honest contractors out there.

I trusted the people I dealt with. The work was well done. I would re-hire and recommend this company.

Outstanding company to work with. Emanual Coelho and his team did a great job remodeling the kitchen and completing the family room addition. All work (both inside and outside of the house) was completed in a high quality manner, and was either on or ahead of the schedule that had been communicated. Emanual was very easy to work with, was professional at all times, and was always very accessible. Calls were either answered immediately or returned within a short time frame. We were completely satisfied with everything that was done for us, and we would absolutely use Coelho Contracting again for any future work on the house.

Karla Coelho managed my job & I was so happy with her service- she came & called often, advised me on color, & worked hard to match new wood to old; I felt like it was her house, that's how much she cared. Lots of integrity & ownership of the job- she gave 100% service even though she was very busy with other jobs. Naturally her 2 very hard workers were very responsive & careful.

Good. The work was done quickly and without fuss. the main painter took care to be considerate and work without intruding and used drop cloths to keep the work area clean. Almost everything was done perfectly. I am not happy with a few small details, like the use of glue instead of nails to secure a trellis, but these are tiny. I will use this company again. I felt the company stretched but good humored and making a real effort returning phone calls in a timely way. And I'm delighted Angie's List helped me find them.

On a previous masonry job we had been very happy. But here there were constant problems. Karla was usually very helpful. Whenever I expressed concern, she assured me that I was not being overly fussy & she would have been furious in my shoes. Most of my issues were with the mess they made: missing HUGE amounts of paint chips; grass killed by pouring thinner & oil paint in 3 spots in our garden; razor blades and screws left around; ladders left lying in perennial beds; spattered paint on gutters, cement stairs, walls, inside sills & in the house; insufficient dust prevention. There were also issues with some improperly prepared surfaces. Most, but not all, problems were later fixed, but I got tired of having to constantly police the site. On the last day, when a wall was redone for the 2nd time, it looked worse & scrapings were left in the garage, I lost faith. There should also have been an upfront discussion of lead concerns & color placement. A final walk-through should be SOP.

When I called Coelho, the company's secretary said they were very busy but that someone would call and be out the next week to give us an estimate. No one called.

Coelho Contracting had just installed my windows when I decided to paint the interior of my house. They did such a nice and clean job on the windows I hired them to paint as well. I needed the job completed in 4 days or less. The painting project was completed in only 3 days!! They had 4 painters come in and get the job done before the weekend, which I was very grateful to Emanuel and his crew. They worked long hours to get it done and they did. I will use them in the future for many more projects.

Emanuel came out on a Saturday and met with me and my husband for 1 hour. He is very knowledgeable about windows and that made me very comfortable to hire him. About a week and half later the windows arrived as they scheduled. They took 2 days to install all the windows and the new window trim. They did a great job, cleaned up every step of the way. They even did small repairs as needed to accommodate the new windows. I'm very pleased with the finished product. I would recommend them to everyone. Truly a very professional company. From the initial phone call to the finished product Coelho Contracting went above and beyond my expectations. Having called a number of contractors to get estimates for the interior painting needed, Karla was by far the most courteous, prompt, and easy to talk to. I was very nervous as this is my first home and really wanted to express myself. Say no more! Emanuel was able to offer great advice on my color scheme and was very thorough and clear in his explanation. I felt confident immediately. Needless to say my condo is now my home that I boast about. Everyone loves it. His crew was fantastic as well and my home was spotless when they left. I certainly will recommend Karla and Emanuel to everyone I know. I wanted personalized, creative, experienced, quality service. Coelho exceeded my expectations by far. THANKS!

What a great company to have work on your home. Friendly, hard working, reasonably priced, and competent. We've used them in the past and will use them again in the future on a large garage construction project. The crew revealed some ancient timbers in our 1735 house, tiled the room and made a perfect finished product. We had lots of details that they took care of and were pleased with the amount of time it took for the job to be completed. They have only one area to improve: cleaning up after themselves: because the project was on the second floor, the way in/out of the house was dirty each day. They cleaned the project space, but not the steps/hall leading in/out. Not a huge issue.

They were wonderful, came on the day they promised, did practically all the work in one day, though they had to come back to finish the steps and take away step molding. Also, the stucco developed a crack because of the cold/wet weather, and they came back and chipped off and completely redid the work two weeks later. They were very responsive when we called with questions. Very polite, helpful, and even threw in some minor repair work on the front walk. We couldn't be happier with the stairs and the solution to a very messy problem.

EMANUEL AND HIS CREW WERE EXCELLENT - PROMPT, COURTEOUS, PROFESSIONAL, CAREFUL WITH OUR HOME, TRUSTWORTHY, RELIABLE, FAST, AND DID A GREAT JOB. PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE. EMANUEL WAS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH, OFFERED GREAT SUGGESTIONS, AND WAS VERY HELPFUL. IT WAS ALSO GREAT TO HAVE KARLA AVAILABLE IN THE OFFICE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE JOB. BATHROOM WAS ABLE TO BE UTILIZED EVERY NIGHT. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND COELHO CONTRACTING TO ANYONE.

NEVER RETURNED MY CALLS TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE. THAT WAS TWO WEEKS AGO.

I CONTACTED COELHO, AND SPOKE WITH A WOMAN WHO ADVISED ME THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DO THE JOB THIS SEASON. I REQUESTED AN ESTIMATE SO THAT I COULD SCHEDULE THE PAINTING FOR THE SPRING. SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE WOULD COME BY EITHER THAT DAY OR THE NEXT, AND CALL ME WITH THE ESTIMATE. IT IS NOW 2 WEEKS, AND TO DATE I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM ANYONE AT COELHO. IF SHE OR ANOTHER REPRESENTATIVE COULD NOT PERFORM THE ESTIMATE OR DECIDED AGAINST PERFORMING IT, COMMON COURTESY WOULD DICTATE A CALL TO ME. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON BEHAVIOR IN THIS BUSINESS. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED, TO SAY THE LEAST.

OVERALL - THEY ARE REASONABLY PRICED, VERY NICE PEOPLE. THEY WORKED VERY HARD TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT EARLY. THEY HAD THEIR PLUMBER IN ON A SUNDAY TO FINISH UP BEFORE WE CAME HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL WITH OUR NEWBORN. THEY ALWAYS COME BACK TO FIX ANY LITTLE PROBLEMS - VERY RELIABLE!

OVERALL THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THOUGH THEY WERE NOT AS ATTENTIVE TO DETAIL AS WE WOULD HAVE LIKED - A FEW THINGS WERE "OFF" A BIT - EVERYTHING LOOKS REALLY NICE. THEY ALSO CAME BACK RIGHT AWAY TO FIX A PROBLEM WITH A FEW TILES FALLING OFF THE WALL. THEY ARE ALWAYS ACCESSIBLE AND RETURN CALLS QUICKLY.

I SPOKE WITH KARLA, THE OWNER AND SHE CAME OUT TO DO THE ESTIMATE. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH HER KNOWLEDGE AND HER ATTENTION TO DETAIL. I ASKED HER ABOUT A PVC WOOD PRODUCT THAT I HAD BEEN TOLD ABOUT TO REPLACE MY ROTTING TRIM. SHE WASN'T FAMILIAR WITH IT BUT DID SOME RESEARCH AND INCLUDED A QUOTE FOR IT. HOWEVER, SHE DID NOT SPECIFY HOW MUCH WAS TO BE USED, ONLY A PRICE PER LINEAR FOOT. THEIR PRICE WAS ON THE HIGH SIDE AND THEY COULDN'T DO THE WORK UNTIL THE SPRING SO I DECIDED TO USE ANOTHER COMPANY, BUT I WOULD RE-CONSIDER THIS COMPANY IN THE FUTURE. ESTIMATED COST WAS $6,680.

I CALLED FOR AN ESTIMATE ON PAINTING THE EXTERIOR OF MY THREE-STORY HOME. I RECEIVED A CALL BACK THE NEXT DAY, AND AN ESTIMATE WITHIN THE NEXT WEEK. THEY TOLD ME UP FRONT THAT THEY WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO DO THE JOB UNTIL SPRING, AS THEY WERE ALREADY BOOKED, BUT WERE SCHEDULING NOW. I HAVEN'T GOTTEN OTHER ESTIMATES YET, SO I CAN'T COMPARE, BUT ON THE BASIS OF MY LIMITED CONTACT WITH THEM, I EXPECT THEY WOULD DO A VERY GOOD JOB.

WHEN I CALLED TO REQUEST AN ESTIMATE, THE WOMAN WHO ANSWERED SPOKE TO ME FOR ALMOST 20 MINUTES. SHE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND EXTREMELY HELPFUL. THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY SHOWED UP EXACTLY WHEN HE WAS SCHEDULED TO LOOK AT THE KITCHEN. HE WAS FRIENDLY, ARTICULATE AND PROFESSIONAL. HE SENT HIS ESTIMATE WITHIN A WEEK AS PROMISED. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY IF YOU'RE OK WITH CHOOSING YOUR OWN CABINETS AND DEALING WITH ALL OF THAT. I WANTED SOMEBODY WHO FIGURES OUT WHAT I NEED, BUYS THE STUFF AND ALSO INSTALLS IT. BUT I RESPECT THAT THE WAY THIS COMPANY WORKS SAVES THE CONSUMER MONEY AND MAKES SENSE FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE. HIS ESTIMATE FOR LABOR WAS IN LINE WITH OTHER ESTIMATES I RECEIVED AND VERY REASONABLE.

EMANUEL AND CARLA WERE GREAT TO WORK WITH. OUT OF THE 5 ESTIMATES I GOT, THEIRS WAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE, BUT ALSO THE MOST DETAILED CALLING FOR 3 COATS (1 PRIMER, 2 FINISH)OF PAINT WITH EVERYONE CALLING FOR ONLY 2. I PAINTED ALL THROUGH COLLEGE AND KNEW THAT THIS HOME WOULD REQUIRE EXTENSIVE PREP AND 3 COATS FOR THE JOB TO LAST. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL IN PICKING COLORS, EMANUEL DROVE ME AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD SO I COULD SHOW HIM COLORS WE LIKED. HE THEN PUT SEVERAL SAMPLES ON MY HOUSE FOR US TO CHOOSE FROM AND WAS PATIENT WITH US WHEN WE HAD HIM COME BACK A FEW TIMES TO ADD ADDITIONAL SAMPLES. THEY EITHER ANSWER THEIR PHONE RIGHT AWAY OR YOU GET A CALL BACK BY THE END OF THE DAY. VERY RESPONSIVE, HARDWORKING AND POLITE CREW AS WELL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND COELHO. I JUST HIRED THEM TO REFINISH MY BATHROOM.

EMANUEL WAS VERY RESPONSIVE FROM QUOTE TO FINISH. HE CHECKED IN REGULARLY TO UPDATE US ON THE PROGRESS OF THE PROJECT. THE WHOLE JOB WAS COMPLETE WITHIN 2 WEEKS. THERE WAS A SLIGHT PROBLEM COMMUNICATING WITH THE WORKERS, BUT IT DID NOT EFFECT THE OUTCOME OF THE JOB. THE FINAL PRODUCT MET OUR EXPECTATIONS AND CLEAN UP WAS DONE UPON COMPLETION.

THERE WAS SOME CONFUSION EARLY ON ABOUT THE CONTRACT AND START DATE, SO IT WAS HARD TO GET THEM TO ACTUALLY START THE WORK. ONCE THAT WAS CLEARED UP, THEY WERE PROMPT AND PERFORMED VERY GOOD WORK. THE JOB WAS SPREAD OUT OVER THE PERIOD OF A FEW WEEKS, BUT THAT WAS OK BECAUSE IT WAS OUTSIDE WORK AND THERE WAS NO TIME LIMIT TO COMPLETING IT. ALL IN ALL, WE WERE HAPPY WITH THE WORK.

I OBTAINED A BID FROM COELHO CONTRACTING, BUT DID NOT USE THEIR SERVICES. I ENDED UP USING A CONTRACTOR WHO HAD WORKED FOR ME SOME YEARS BEFORE BECAUSE HIS PRICE WAS CHEAPER. THIS WAS A FOOLISH MISTAKE, BUT THAT IS ANOTHER STORY. I WOULD STILL LIKE TO DESCRIBE MY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE WITH EMANUEL OF COELHO CONTRACTING. EMANUEL WAS EASY TO REACH. HE RETURNED MY CALL IMMEDIATELY, OR THE NEXT MORNING, ON EVERY OCCASION. HE LOOKED AT MY PROPERTY QUICKLY, SAID HE WOULD HAVE A BID THE NEXT DAY, AND VOILA, THE NEXT MORNING HE FAXED ME A DETAILED TWO PAGE BID SPECIFYING EXACTLY THE NATURE OF THE WORK TO BE PERFORMED AND THE MATERIALS TO BE USED ($7780). HE ALSO HAD A POSITIVE SUGGESTION REGARDING THE SHAPE OF THE NEW REPLACEMENT DECK. EMANUEL WAS EMINENTLY PROFESSIONAL AND COOPERATIVE. I LIVE OUT OF THE AREA, AND EMANUEL OFFERED TO TAKE DIGITAL PHOTOS FOR ME. IF I WEREN'T SO CHEAP, I WOULD HAVE USED HIM, AND I'M SURE THE JOB WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH SMOOTHER.
