Description of Work: It turned out that my problem did not require his services, but he came over and talked me through the problem. He was very nice and if I ever do need his services I'll not hesitate to call him.

Description of Work: CJ Doherty replaced a leaking pipe between the water main and our house. They proposed a very smart, cost-effective alternative method to digging up our yard and our neighbor's. Their plan worked very well, leaving only a small hole. Not only did they fill the hole with dirt, as promised, but they decided it needed sod as well and bought the sod and set it in place themselves. They were prompt, responsive, intelligent, and did excellent work at exactly the price they promised. It's a pleasure to find such an outstanding contractor, and a pleasure to recommend CJ Doherty!

Description of Work: We were extremely happy with CJ Doherty. The main water line to our house broke and we needed an emergency excavation and replacement. They came quickly to give an estimate and gave a complete and clear description of what needed to be done. Their price was excellent (close to the lowest price we were quoted) and they were highly rated. We chose them and couldn't have been happier. |The group of three men who arrived were an excellent team, and the foreman, who did the backhoe work, was an artist with the backhoe -- careful, skillful and able to deal without fuss with what seemed to be some tricky problems in pulling the old line through the wall of the basement with the new line following it. (The old line had apparently been repaired in place about 50 years ago.) |We had a prized small Japanese maple right over the path of the line and were concerned that the process might damage it. They took great care and they did minimal excavation and excellent restoration. The crew worked quickly and effectively, cleaned up beuatifully
