Description of Work: He came looked at the work. Discussed the work, did not try and make the project bigger. Sent a detailed quote. we agreed on a date. Two week before the work date, I asked him if he could do it earlier. He said if there was a cancellation he would let me know. Few days later he contacted me and we agreed on a new date, about a week earlier than the original date. The crew came and did the project. A satisfied customer.

Description of Work: Barrett Tree Service replaced a magnolia tree in our backyard that had become infected with something and was dying. The entire experience was a pleasure from quote to finished work. The team was incredibly well coordinated and timely. The owner is a true pleasure to work with. Description of Work: Cut down 4 large maple trees between my house and my neighbor's house. They were very responsive from the first time I contacted them for an estimate and with all my questions afterward. They were professional, did an excellent job and the site was clean when we returned home. We will use them again.

+ -1 moreOne of the trees at the back of my property had been damaged by winter storms - a major limb had cracked, and was leaning over a neighbor's garage. There were also a couple of other limbs that had broken off and the tree is leaning. I contacted Barrett Tree Service based on previous reports here and the fact that they are local. Trumbull Barrett, the owner, immediately returned my call and after discussing the situation agreed to come out the same day to look at things. He assessed the situation and recommended removing the cracked limb, cleaning up from other damage and thinning the crown to help maintain the tree. Even though the next day was a Saturday he agreed to come do the work - he was very good about explaining the process and did a very good job of doing the necessary work and cleaning up. He was very personable and provided helpful information about my trees and maintaining them along the way.
Description of Work: Mr. Barrett removed a cracked/broken limb from one of my trees; cleaned up from some other broken limbs and thinned the crown of the tree to help maintain the tree.

+ -1 moreI was delighted at how quickly the work was done. My neighbor was astonished. I never bothered to get other estimates, but the cost seemed reasonable for the amount of work that was done. The tree was big, and cutting up and hauling it away took quite a number of hours. They also had to climb into the other tree and cut branches. Overall it was great.
Description of Work: Heavy snow broke my pine tree and flung it into my neighbor's yard. I called Angie's List and received three names. I called Barrett Tree Service East mostly because of the location. Trumbull Barrett returned my call very quickly and I described the problem. He came to the house and looked everything over while I was at work. We spoke that evening and agreed on what was to be done, including thinning out some of the branches of the remaining pine tree, and I received an estimate for the work. The following afternoon the work was done. All the debris was removed. My neighbor is happy, I am happy, the final bill was ten dollars less than the estimate!Trumbull did a great job.

He was described as a well educated arborist who had recently relocated his tree service to the area, and came highly recommended. I called him, he responded quickly, and was on time for our appointment. He spent over an hour with me going over the trees (elm, ash, dogwood, maple) on our property, discussing their needs and care. He also gave an estimate to my neighbor for the removal of a large, dead ash tree near our joint property line. We corresponded over e-mail, he came and removed the one tree. He is completely bonded and insured (essential for this type of work because an accident on the homeowners property is the homeowners responsibility otherwise) and struck me as organized, responsible, ethical and capable. I highly recommend him.
