Trumble is fabulous! He showed up at the appointed time, described the trees that I had, explained the problems, and outlined my options. His estimate to remove the trees was very reasonable and I chose that option. Two weeks later, the trees were removed and the debris totaly cleaned up.

Trumbull Barrett and his crew were professional, knowlegable and personable from the quote process through actual work completion. The company was the low bidder of three quotes obtained and did a great job, even dealing effectively with a neighbor, whom we were afraid would be uncooperative. The final bill was consistent with the quote. We actually added a small additional bit of work, which was done at a nominal extra charge. Overall, I would highly recommend Barrett Tree Service East and will use them again should the need for additional tree services arise.

Wonderful! Trumbul and his workers were did an amazing job and left no mess behind. He and his workers (Justo and Oswaldo I think) where polite and professional and very accomodating. None of my flowers were damaged. They were a pleasure to have around and did a wonderful job.

It went great. They got us in as soon as they could and did a great job. The yard was pristine when they completed the work.

We had an estimate, and the work was done when my neighbor was home but I was not. She was very happy with the experience and I was happy with the results.

Everything was terrific. They were super. I'd highly recommend them. Their communication was very good, they were prompt in returning phone calls and emails, they showed up on time, and their price was exactly what they said it would be. The tress that they planted had a guarantee on them and one of the trees isn't doing so well, so they are going to plant another one for me.

The crew showed up on time, reviewed the job with us and went to work. When we returned home later in the day the work was completed and the yard (and surrounding areas) were clean. We were very happy with the work and feel as though we got good value for the money.

They were terrific! We have three large oak trees in the front and along the side of the house. They had removed a broken branch from our large front tree after a big storm. We asked Barrett Tree Service back to thin them, remove dead wood, and trim back branches that hung dangerously over the house. They came promptly, did exactly what they said they would do and cleaned up thoroughly. The price was excellent and they were very responsive to additional work my neighbor requested. I would definitely use them again without hesitation!!

After a storm I noticed a cracked tree limb and called Barrett Tree Service East as a result of the Angie's List ratings. I got Trumbull Barrett on the phone immediately and scheduled a time for him to come out. In addition to checking out the cracked limb I had him check some other trees and it was determined that some others should come down. An appointment was scheduled for about a month out. The day before they were supposed to come I got a call from Trumbull which I appreciated saying that they would be later than scheduled. I also had a surprise for them in that in another storm a tree had cracked and come down over my garage roof onto the yard. So in effect, as a result of that storm, what had been scheduled to be done was changed that day. I asked that more trees be cut down, more trees raised, and another stump grinded. Also, Trumbull noticed another tree higher up that had been damaged in the storm which needed to be removed. Trumbull had a number of jobs scheduled that day and I appreciated his flexibility in changing/adding to the work that was scheduled to be done. I was amazed at how quickly and efficiently the work and cleanup was done and how well it was done. My only concern was that there was a small amount of damage done to my driveway and lawn I believe by the huge truck with the crane on it. I had some timely discussions with Trumbull regarding this and it was all worked out. From beginning to end there was good communication and I had a very positive experience. I would definately use Barrett Tree Service East again in the future.

I was very pleased. Trumbull was punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and great at communicating to someone who has never had experience with tree care. The bid clearly outlined the job. His team did an excellent work and were very nice to deal with. It took them quite a while to do the job; they were meticulous and focused.

Overall it went great. They arrived on time, went over the job with me, and got to work. They did a tremendous job dealing with nosey, difficult neighbors who were getting in the way of their work and trying to tell them what to do. They brought a cherry picker and a chipper and trimmed all the branches away from my house, and my neighbor's house. The trees look much better, and we have more sunlight now, but not too much. The previous owners had installed a huge aluminum flagpole and we decided to ask Trumbull to give us an estimate for removing that as well. They brought a sawz-all and took it down with no problem. They do not do metal removal, but I know enough to call a scrap guy who will haul that away. The trees and yard look great, they did a fantastic job cleaning up and even came back a little later b/c they forgot to do one last minute thing I sprung on them this morning (was not part of original estimate). I would highly recommend Trumbull and his crew. Besides the high level of professionalism and knowledge, all 4 guys on the crew were very pleasant and friendly. I feel like that's a rarity when you have folks come over to do a project on your house.

The only reason I'm giving Barrett Tree Service an A for everything is because I can't go higher. Trumbull came to our house after a large branch from our maple tree fell on the fence between our house and that of our neighbors. He gave us the best estimate we got which included an Angie's List discount. The crew arrived on time on the scheduled day. It was an amazing thing to watch as they went to work on both trees simultaneously. It took a few hours, but they cleaned up as they went, including the debris from the part of the pine that snapped off. After they were done, not only did it not look like they were never here, it looked as though the trees were never here. My wife, who is a stickler for neatness was very impressed, and that says a lot. Thank you for a wonderful job.

Everything went well, Trumball explained everything very clearly about what should be trimmed and how. All the people working with him were very pleasant and efficient and everything was cleaned up when they finished.

The owner, Trumbell Barrett set up a meeting promptly and gave me an estimate on the spot, followed by a written estimate. He spent a good amount of time going over the project and I followed his advice about planting a new tree under an old tree that he thought only had about 5 years left. This would give the new tree time to get established.The crew arrived as stated and were very careful and efficient. Cleanup was great. Only one small problem: I called the previous day to confirm because we'd had a few days of bad weather and I was wondering if they would be able to keep on schedule. I never heard from them, but they were there as planned.

Trumbull was fantastic. He returned my calls, scheduled a time to look at the tree, arrived on time, gave me an estimate, and followed up with a third party property owner in whose parking lot he needed to park his truck. He gave me a date a month later to do the work and explained what he would need to do, including taking down a part of my fence and putting it back up. I was out of the country at the time, but when I arrived back home, the tree was gone, everything was left neat and clean, and the fence was back up. No complaints from my neighbors, which I also really appreciate. Great job!

I contacted Trumbull for trimming our trees and taking out a tree that is split. He will do the job later, but since my membership expires by then, I wanted to put in a review now. Trumbull is exteremly knowledgeble and professional. He looked at all the trees in our yards, we discussed what needs to be done on each of them and gave us a quote right there. I would definitely use him in the future.

We contacted Trumbull Barrett for an estimate. While we decided to use a service that gave us a lower quote, we were very pleased with the time and attention he gave us, and we would consider using him in the future.

I contacted Trumbull in January to have him evaluate whether a tree that appeared to be decaying should be removed. He responded within a day and came to see the tree within a week, clearly explaining the risks and benefits of removal. Ultimately we decided for him to perform resistograph testing on the tree to assess how much of it was viable - this cost 225 and confirmed that a majority of the tree was dead. He gave us a quote for the removal of the tree, (2565 for removal, 330 for grinding the stump) which would be quite complicated because it was a 50+ foot tree in a relatively narrow private alleyway in Boston and tangled between crossing telephone wires. I had actually contacted another provider who had also received good reviews on Angie's List to give another estimate, and he said that he couldn't quote a lower price (he also commended Trumbull's group). I called in April to schedule the removal date, which was set for May. Three of his workers spent about 9 hours removing the tree and planting the new one. They essentially cabled up into the tree, sawed off branches, and lowered the larger branches down with cable. Once they were done, they cleaned up the sawdust not only in the alley and in my patio but also in the neighboring patios (to the extent that they could get access to them). The cost of the new tree itself and its planting was 850. I got the 5% Angie's List discount on all services. Overall, I was extremely pleased with my experience with Trumbull and his colleagues. They were punctual, knowledgeable, considerate, and pleasant to work with. They communicated well and worked with clear expertise and focus. They did an exceptional job on a very difficult tree removal. I would hire them again for any further tree services.

you couldn't ask for a better experience. trumbull was timely, courteous, professional, reasonable in price and superbly skilled. a terrific resource. absolutely highest recommendation without reservation.

Trumbull came to the house to give an estimate. He was punctual (even a little early) and pleasant. I told him my main concerns (the hedges and the Rose of Sharon tree), then we walked around the property going over each tree/bush while he provided recommendations for each. He gave me a sort of a la carte list (per my request) of how much each indiviadual project would cost so I could discuss with my husband later and pick and choose what we wanted done. We picked a date, but not a specific time. He said they could come by "some time after 3:00 PM" and he warned me that the job before had the potential to grow in size, so the timing would be inexact. I was ok with that b/c I planned to take the day off and was flexible. He called around 4:30 PM the day of the scheduled service to say it would be at least another hour, and they (Trumbull and another worker) showed up around 6:15 PM (the weather was also horrible and contributed to the added time for each job). I was warned they would most likely run late, and I told him I was ok with it, but it still was a little inconvenient, though I appreciated the fact that he called with an update. Since they got a late start, unfortunately they were still working after it got dark which was not optimal. They did a great job considering they were working by the light of street lamps at the end, but clean-up was made a little more difficult b/c of the lack of light in the back and it was too late to run blowers to remove some of the debris (we both decided it was best not too). That's the only reason they got a "B" for quality instead of an "A" - in retrospect, I probably should've rescheduled for a different day, but I give them credit for wanting to get everything done that they promised on the day they promised, even though it meant not finishing until about 8:45 PM.

I contacted Barrett Tree service via email, and arranged for an estimate. Trumbull Barrett came and examined the trees, and made suggestions as to what I would need to do to avoid future problems. We agreed on a price and he got back to me the next day to set a date for the work to be done. The crew showed up on the assigned day (even though it was raining) and did a wonderful job. They left my yard cleaner when they left than when they arrived. From start to finish, these guys were true professionals. I can't recommend them highly enough.
