They did a great job. They did very well for the job they were hired for. I have nothing to compare the price to but I thought they were reasonable. The quality of the work was excellent.

It is a pleasure to work with Barrett Tree Service. This is the second time we have used them and we are very happy with their service. Trumbell returned the initial call promptly and set up an appointment for an estimate within a couple of days of the call. He arrived on time and we discussed the work that needed to be done. He gave a reasonable estimate and a day or two later I called to schedule a time for the work to be done. All work was completed within a 2 week time frame of the initial call. Trumbell's crew did a great job. We were pleased with the result and the work was done for the amount that was estimated. I always recommend Trumbell to family and friends when they ask about tree service. I hope to be able to use him for our future needs as well.

Trumbull impressed me with his great knowledge and passion, and indeed did an excellent job, just as he promised. He also provided numerous helpful tips to keeping the trees healthy. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Excellent service. Great crew. It was a pleasure to look at them working. Everyone in the team worked very hard and very coorperatively. It impressed me the most that they do love trees. They were very careful to the trees when doing the work. During the estimate the owner gave a thorough evaluation on each tree and prioritize them. I am very pleased with their work and will definitely use them again if needed.

I was a little terrified watching them up in the trees but was amazed at the efficiency of how they worked. Everything was done with thought both to the problem but also the aesthetic. They cleaned everything up completely and were sensitive to not being intrusive on the neighbors property.

Awesome. Trumbull promptly returned my emails - had a very competitive first bid & then we had several add ons. I bidded out the work & he beat everyone & did work that others wouldn't perform. His crew was very polite & professional and very hard working & cleaned up the site very very well. You'd never know there were trees/stumps even there! I think we got an excellent price for his team being there all day (730am-530pm) w/all the heavy equipment that was needed & there were no safety issues or damages (which would have been highly likely considering the size of these trees w/the street/house being so close!). Additionally the quote came right in w/what was charged & the work/end result couldn't have been better. We are truly ecstatic w/the results of their hard work! We emailed Barret Tree Service East to obtain an estimate for repairing tree damage in our yard in Somerville, MA. They responded immediately and scheduled an appointment to meet and estimate the work needed. Trumbell Barrett arrived right on time. I was impressed with his professionalism and his approach to his craft. We walked through the yard and discussed the status of the trees and the necessary treatment for each. We settled on repairing the damage to our thirty-year-old Magnolia and cabling of the three main branches, pruning the Sycamore-Maple that borders our neighbor's property, structural pruning and removal of deadwood on four lacebark elms, the removal of a fir that had been snapped in half during a winter storm and the structural pruning of a young lacebark elm. The crew arrived at the appointed time on the appointed day. They were extremely professional and efficient in their work. They were also very neat their work. Also, they were very pleasant and patient in explaining what they were doing with each tree. They left the property in a clean and neat condition with all of the work accomplished. We were very pleased with the experience and would happily and unreservedly recommend Barrett Tree Service East to anyone who needs tree services.

We emailed Barrett for an estimate to look at what we needed to do to the trees in the backyard of a house we recently bought. Trumbull set up an appointment to come over within a few days. He took a very good look at every tree in our very populated 6000 s.f. yard and talked to me about each one. The yard had been landscaped a decade ago, and then sort of let go. Some trees in the yard had been damaged by the recent extreme weather, others had diseases or had just been neglected and were growing into each other. He listened very carefully to my concerns and what we wanted in the backyard and let me know what I needed to be worried about, and what was normal and healthy. He sent me a detailed estimate within a day or so and scheduled the work for 3 weeks later. Two guys came at 8:30am and stayed until 1pm doing everything on the very long list. They double checked everything with me beforehand, and showed me around after. They cleaned up all their trimmings, and raked up all the small debris. They put beautiful shape into all the trees they pruned, did a fantastic job trimming the branches off of the neighbor's trees, and nicely thinned out some bushes. As a mother, it was also nice to see that they kept their hardhats and eyewear on the entire time they were here - I was very worried about them when they were way up in the tops of those trees, even with their safety harnesses.

My husband and I would hire them again. They called back quickly and showed up when they said they would. Their work was high quality and they cleaned up after themselves thoroughly, which we always notice when we hire anyone to do work for us. We found all employees to be professional and responsible.

Trumbull, as others have described, responded same day to my initial call. He arrived promptly on the established date for estimate to survey the trees; he made a very careful assessment and notes of what we did and did not want him to do. Extremely knowledgeable yet respectful of our wishes. He offered observations and suggestions without being pushy. There was no chastising for allowing some of our trees to get out of control! He called the night before to say he would be slightly later than expected...then he arrived with his helper promptly at the new time. I can't say enough about how professional, neat, kind and competent this 2 man team was. They instilled such confidence and the results were excellent. We added a few items to the list and these were taken care of for a minor additional charge. When there were pruning decisions to be made, we were consulted about our preferences. We will use Barrett's again!

I e-mailed Barret Tree Service and they set up a time to come to my house and look at the trees. Within a couple of days, Mr. Barrett came to my house and provided me with an estimate. Had to get permission from a neighbor to use his driveway to take one of the trees down. When I got that, e-mailed Mr. Barrett and he sent back a day to do the work. The workers came on time and did a professional job. Price was same as estimate. This is the second time I have had Barrett Tree service do work for me and both times I have been very happy with the work they have done.

Simply amazing. They showed up on the day of a huge snow storm in January. They practically had to clear 6 inches of snow out of the yard *before* they could start the tree work. Very talented team. They are so popular it took almost 3 weeks for the appointment from when I agreed to the work. Most communication was through email and I appreciated that.

I have used Barrett several times. The first time was when I purchased my house and the trees were overgrown and many dead. Trumbell walked me through all of the work that needed to be done versus things in the future. He had a team come in several days later and worked the entire day into the night until the job was done.

I highly reccomend Barrett Tree Service. The owner came out for an esimtate very quickly. He was very prompt emailing with me to schedule a time and provide the written estimate. The price was fair and we were able to schedule his team very quickly. His team arrived on time on the day of the work. My whole family watched in amazement as his talented crew pruned and trimmed 4 very large trees; 1 oak, 2 maples and 1 pine. They were very professional and based on what I saw they are clearly experts in this business. All the trees were very professionally done and as agreed to. These large trees were in precarious positions around a couple of houses. The crew skillfuly assessed each objective and worked in unison to scale and complete the cutting/trimming effort. There was no damage from any of the many cut limbs to anyones property AND the crew cleaned up all the debris from the trees - leaves,branches etc. Honestly, I feel like I underpaid for what I witnessed these 3 gentleman achieve during this all day project.

Trumbull and his crew were amazing. He responded quickly to my inquiry and followed up with an in-person visit. His prices were reasonable and quality of work was amazing. The crew was on time and did exactly what they promised. And, they satisfied a neighbor who was concerned about the work.

Everything for this transaction was done by phone and email until the actual service was performed. We had previously used Barrett to remove some old trees and were completely satisfied. We told Trumbull a number of different types of trees we were considering to replace the trees we had removed approximately a year earlier. After a bit of research, we settled on a type of birch with clumps (sorry for the lack of arborist technicality here but see the photos we uploaded!). He went to the nursery and didn't like the trees that he found and selected two other trees...we had been so satisfied before that we completely trusted his knowledge of trees and said OK. Trumbull purchased the trees for us and scheduled an installation date. We love the trees he selected and the installation was flawless.

Trumbull came and gave me an estimate within a couple of days of my calling him. His quote matched the first estimate I'd gotten, but he additionaly recommended removing two other threatening branches on the same tree, which the rep from the other company hadn't mentioned. I thought his recommendation was a good one, and I also, quite honestly, just liked his manner: he was polite, friendly, and approachable. So we decided to hire him for the job. We then put the work on hold until we could determine if our insurance company would give us money towards removal of the tree branch that had already fallen (and hit our house in the process). When I called Trumbull a couple of weeks later to actually schedule the work, he told me the earliest he could come was in another week. Since we needed the branch removed in order to fix the damage to our house, I asked if we could move the date up a few days to accommodate when our contractor said he could start the repair work. Given his super busy schedule and the fact that he's clearly not wanting for business right now, I was really impressed that Trumbull was willing to move us up and fit us in on an earlier date than he'd originally specified. I wasn't here for the tree removal itself, but everything looked great when I got home. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the work and the experience.

It went great, Trumbull was prompt and professional from the estimate, through the completion of the work, which his team went above and behind to complete. We had a series of heavy snow storms that made it necessary for his team to shovel out a path to and around the work area. They performed a difficult tree take down and removal, ground the stump and cleaned it up. Looks great.

They took down an old cracked tree and trimmed all other trees that needed it. They also removed 3 huge maples. They did a great job, mulched everything and cleaned up after themselves. They were very skilled and pleasant to work with. Very careful to not damage the yard, house or surrounding houses. I would definitely recommend them to others.

I would like to add another excellent rating to the long list of terrific reviews for Barrett Tree company. Trumbull Barrett arrived at my house at the appointed time to assess what needed to be done about my two trees. I was immediately impressed with his knowledge, his conservative approach and his overall pleasant demeanor. He was very easy to communicate with and was very straight forward in answering all my questions. His crew arrived on the designated day and after shoveling out a pathway through a foot or so of snow so that they could work safely, they did a fantastic job in trimming the trees. Their workmanship on my sugar maple definitely shows that they have a keen eye and a keen sense of artistry and balance. They know what they are doing. The spruce was a little more difficult to make aesthetically pleasing as it was pretty much dead on one side but they listened to my concerns and tried to make the adjustments I suggested. I am pleased with the overall result. This is a wonderful company to deal with and Trumbull and his crew are top notch. His prices were very reasonable and the quality of work excellent. Highly highly recommended.

He is fantastic. I know he is the number one service provider in United States; the top three. What I liked about him is that he explained everything that he was doing and gave the reasons behind what was going on. He just did not say that he could remove all the limbs possible; however he explained why every limb could not be removed and how it had to be done. He also knew every name of the trees in the backyard. When he came over he gave me a great deal of confidence. He knew what he was doing. He is punctual, polite and really well educated. When the actual work was done, this was probably three to four weeks after wards. The crew came in, finished the work and cleaned up everything beautifully. There was nothing left for me to do anything. There were no branches left in the yard. I recommended him to other people also and one person I know has also used him and loved him a lot.

They were great. They had did exactly what they said they would do. They came in and out. They were one of the lower bids. I had absolutely no complaints. They were very professional, very quick and reasonably priced.
