Would not tell me the price of the treatment unless I first paid them $65 for a site visit. That's right. You have to pay for zero value in return in order to find out how much more you have to pay for them to actually do something.

After a final consultation the day of the job, Barret's team did a thorough, professional, and complete job. The cleanup was outstanding and the staff were a pleasure to work with.

The Barrett Tree folks came promptly, did an assessment of our tree, and recommended a course of care to ensure the tree’s longevity and good health. They came back to do the work during the Covid 19 stay-at-home advisory (as an essential business) and were safe & speedy, and did an excellent job. Our tree looks wonderful! I love the folks at Barrett and *highly+ recommend them.

Used them a few years ago and they were fine. Now they want $65 to give estimates. They are the only company to charge to give you a price I have found so I'll bring my business elsewhere.

In Jan 2019, they removed a large Blue Spruce ($685). Later in the spring, two new trees, dogwood and crabapple, were planted. In the fall they treated them with bio-stimulant with phosphite ($145) and then again recently in the spring for dormant insect control ($145). Both trees have buds and are looking healthy.

Arrived right on schedule; pruned branches as necessary (and removed others for aesthetics). Good cleanup. I think it was more work than contemplated, but they kept to the original bid.

We've been using Barrett Tree Service East for 7 years. We get what we feel are honest appraisals of our trees and bushes, and good care by trained arborists. They are easy to reach and happy to come out and look at something, even if the response is, not yet. Recently we had them evaluate and then prune two very large oak trees, along with trimming hemlocks they do every 3 years or so. Everything looks great afterwards and we no longer have to worry about falling branches. When reviewing their estimate, I had questions about a tree that wasn't on the plan, and they had no problem adding that to the work. They even came back to prune a couple of small branches that were not in the original plan but were obstructing the path. We felt they gave very good service. We haven't compared their prices since we hired them, but at that time their prices were lower than a bigger name company and we haven't regretted that decision since. We work with Keith Bernard and he is great at explaining what he's recommending and generally, easy to work with and talk to.

I can be very fussy when it comes to trimming trees and Ryan did a great job going over everything with me and the guys that came over did a great job also.

My experience with Barrett Tree Service East was totally positive from the first meeting with the arborist right through to the team’s arrival whose job was to remove the remnants of a large apple tree, grind the tree stump, remove stray mulberry trees, trim deadwood from several large hemlock trees in my neighbor’s yard which were overhanging my property. I also asked them to clean up a white pine tree whose growth was being compromised by large hemlock branches growing into it. The 3-person crew did such an amazing job. The pine tree looks incredibly good now. I was so impressed with everyone I dealt with from Barrett Tree Service East. They were on time for their appointments, they were easy to talk to and they were thorough in their explanations of the work they were going to do. They cleaned up all debris and left my yard looking beautiful. If I need tree service in the future, I will definitely be calling on them again. I highly recommend their services.

Barrett Tree service is awesome: they have done work for us three or four times in the last 10 or so years. The crews are professional, the office is a pleasure to deal with, we get good advice about what does and does not need to be done. On top of all this, our neighbor (whose driveway had to be used to get at the huge Catalpa tree) went out of his way to comment on what a great job of cleaning up the crew did. Just hire them.

Excellent. The crew is incredibly polite and thoughtful. They put down tarps on the lawn to hold their equipment so it wouldn't harm the lawn, and their clean up after work was absolutely impeccable. My across the street neighbor actually came over to tell me how impressed she was as she watched the whole work being done. I've since recommended Barrett to two friends, who did use their services and also loved them.

All the work was done expertly and the job site was cleaned up. Where it was not possible to use the overhead bucket, trees were removed using rope rigging. This operation was dangerous and the workers handled it safely and professionally.

I'm a regular customer, and I highly recommend them. I have a modest lot closely surrounding my house, with a variety and many trees - somewhat of a challenge. Barrett is always highly professional, beginning with expert informed advice on what needs doing. The do very high quality work -- reliable, punctual, do what they say they will, finish when they predict, and charge what they estimate. They review the work beforehand, check with you during the process to see if you have any questions, take great care with the trees and property, and clean up before they leave.

Arborist Marc Hansen and team were thorough and very helpful. The team did some related work not in their proposal. I also hired them for a second smaller engagement. I recommended Barrett to my neighbors.

Barrett did a great job. They came right away, removed the branch, took photos as requested and were fun to watch and nice to be around.

Very competitive estimate for work, Mark provided advice on what should be done to gain back light into property whilst maintaining attractiveness of trees. Gave clear instructions on work to be done and price. Team was scheduled with ease. On the day the crew were very professional. Great job, clearly consulted with us as they pruned to ensure we achieved the desired look. Tidied up fully before leaving. Superb job.

Excellent. I would recommend Barrett highly. I would hire them again. New tree planting (at the location of a removed tree) involved significant removal of the existing stump, which no other company was willing to do. This enabled us to place the new tree exactly where we wanted it. They were very courteous and their overall service was way beyond the norm.

Barrett Tree Service East has highly trained people and they did excellent jobs for me removing a 60 year old Norway Maple, with very limited access in a crowded site. They also pruned several trees for me to make them grow better / be more resistant in storms. Very good advice in general.

Excellent they showed up when they said they would. Completed the job and left the area as they found it. We were very pleased. This is the second time we have used them and will again as needed.

The crew arrived at the appointed time and was properly supervised. I added a couple of simple pruning tasks which they were more than willing to carry out even though we had not included those areas of the lawn on the original list of tasks. The crew also did a careful job of clearing branches and other debris.
