Great professionalism! Rain did not stop them - the morning of pouring rain they did my project without any interruptions! Will use them again when I need more tree trimming.

The folks at Barrett are great. From setting up the appointment to scheduling a time for the service to be performed, Barrett was always responsive and accomodating. Brendan and his crew that came to take the tree down were careful, efficient and thorough. The tree was cut down and the stump and roots were ground up. You would never know that a tree was there. They cleaned everything up after they were done. I highly recommend them!

Our entire experience with Barrett Tree Service East was excellent. The estimator and crew were friendly, professional, and thorough. For the estimate and the tree removal, they keep us updated about when they were coming and arrived on time. The large tree was just a couple of feet from three of our neighbors' properties, and the crew did a very careful job taking the tree down and thoroughly cleaning up the wood and sawdust. They took care not to damage our back yard garden and plants. They swept the street where the wood chipper had been set up. We are very impressed with the company!

they did a great job. Most impressive - they damaged a fence, told us about it, and paid for fixing it. If they hadn't mentioned it, we wouldn't have noticed it. That alone earns them an A+ in my book.

I contacted this company last weekend, and they stopped by to spray for Winter Months (which were damaging our tree) this week. They provided excellent service as well as detailed information about the spray that they were using.

They were excellent! On time, professional, job came out fantastic, we are very pleased.

I always do my due diligence (getting 3-4 quotes / reading reviews / feeling out the contractor). Trumbull was the 1st guy to come out and give me a quote and I immediately felt a sense of respect/workmanship in his character. His price was extremely reasonable for the work performed and his crew 1) showed up early 2) introduced themselves 3) went over/described the work which was agreed upon in the contract 4) described how they would tackle the 4 trees 5) performed the work in a safe/efficient manner and 6) cleaned up!!. I do numerous home renovations and finding a honest/trustworthy contractor is tough to come by. I would highly recommend Barrett Tree Service...I am certainly going to use them in the future...

From start to finish, all Barrett personnel were professional - courteous, informative, timely. The job was perfomed according to my wishes and our agreement. They did a great job cleaning up especially given that, during the last hour of work, it was pouring.

The job went through without a problem, despite plenty of opportunities for problems due to the tight space, power lines, fences, other trees (that we didn't want damaged), etc. The crew started work about noon and were cleaned up and off the site by 4pm. I'm very happy with the work and I will use Barrett Tree Service again for any tree work I have a need for. My only complaint is that the work ran through my toddler's nap time so he was only able to watch the first half our (chainsaws and trucks are a very big deal to a 2.5 year old). Noise was not a problem.

They were quick, courteous, and very clean. They also left us firewood cut to size from good parts of the tree.

Could not have been better. Trumbull is a great guy, knowledgeable, and an expert at what he does. All crew were very professional and efficient. The job involved some large trees and crane work very near a couple of our condo buildings, so precision and safety were paramount. Job was executed perfectly. Would hire again in a second.

We needed four very tall hemlocks and a privet along our driveway removed. Based on the reviews here, we called Barrett Tree Service East, and scheduled an estimate (this was the second provider we called). Trumbull Barrett arrived at the appointed time and walked through what would need to be done. We weren't sure about cutting down the trees, but he confirmed that the disease we had been noticing was not easy to cure without expensive treatments, so we decided to cut them down. I also asked about another tree on the property and he walked me through why it should be crowned and thinned--I added it to the list. Finally, there was an old privet hedge that needed to be pulled out to make room for a new fence. I figured we'd have to go to someone else for that since this was a tree service, but he said they remove privets all of the time. Before he left, he told me what we'd have to do to prepare for the day when they arrived. He handed me a quote and I was completely shocked at the amount because it was about $2200 less than another provider that I had contacted. We couldn't be happier with Barrett's work, and we'll definitely call them up the next time we need trees taken care of on our property.

I was extremely happy. The owner, Trumbull Barrett, showed up on time to provide an estimate and provided me with a lot of useful explanations about the work he recommended to be done. His crew showed up a few weeks later on the agreed upon date and time and was very friendly and professional. They did exactly what was promised and cleaned up after themselves. There was barely a trace of their visit visible once they had left (except of course for the requested tree work). I felt that the price I paid was very appropriate for the amount of work involved. I had actually gotten a quote from another tree company and that other quote was 70% higher than the Barrett quote.

Excellent. We called the company. They responded very quickly, and fit us into their schedule in the next week. The work was very professionally performed. We would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to friends.

We were very pleased with Trumbull and his crew. Trumbull came by and thoroughly evaluated each of the trees on our property - we were concerned about the stability and safety of a large sugar maple tree, and he recommended a thorough pruning and cabling. He agreed to remove several smaller maple trees growing right against our garage as well. We did this first phase of tree work in the winter - Alden and his crew were prompt (I think they even arrived 10 minutes early), courteous, and got right to work shoveling our driveway so they could access the trees, then did the extensive pruning, cabling, and tree cutting for most of the rest of the day. Our large sugar maple looked great at the end of the day and they removed every last bit of tree material from our yard. We did the remainder of the work in the spring. Alden and his crew again showed up promptly and made short work of the large river birch tree abutting our house and cut down an unsightly overgrown yew as well. We came home that evening and it looked like our tree had been spirited away - there were almost no traces that anyone had been there that day with heavy machinery, cutting down a very sizeable tree. The best thing about Trumbull's crew is that they really seemed to enjoy their work and sincerely appreciate trees - it was refreshing to see people who truly love what they do.

It went well, though they missed some spots that were eaten by winter moths. All in all, they generally do good work. I have no real reason to try someone else.

I am so pleased by how well this company removed my dead ash tree which was in a tight spot between my house and my neighbor's. They are the most efficient careful and talented group of tree surgeons I could possibly have found. This is a pleasant company to deal with from start to finish. I thank my lucky stars for having picked them to do the work. I would recommend them highly to all. Even my neighbor was immensely impressed by them. I am still grateful for the work they did.

On the day of the appointment, Courtney, called to say he would be 5 minutes late. Already impressed. Courtney walked around the property and we discussed the overgrown trees. He is a very knowledgeable Arborist and explained what my options might be. He had a laser light so that he could point out and discuss each branch. We came up with a plan and then surprised me with "Do you belong to Angie's List?" Well that gave a $25 discount. On the day scheduled, Courtney arrived with several workers and a cherry picker. They all wore protective gear and cut each branch as we agreed upon. Every branch and twig was picked up and removed by the team. They were quick, efficient and did EXACTLY what we agreed on. Would not hesitate to use them again.

We got two estimates: one from a company we had used in the past and the second from Barrett's. The first estimate was about $500 more and the man giving the estimate was not particularly pleasant or informative. In contrast, Trumball Barrett was easy to talk to and clear about what was needed and what was involved. The three man crew showed up on time and worked about four hours. They were pleasant to deal, professional in their work and thoroughly cleaned the debris from our yard and our neighbors (for which we had permission). I would definitely use the company again.

It took a couple of calls to get in touch, but after that, things went seamlessly. Showed up 30 minutes early ( ready to start at 0730). Came on a separate day to fertilize the tree, came and went and we didn't even realize it until we found the door notice. Cleaned up after themselves, no muss, no fuss!

The job was fully explained before work began, estimated, and perfomed in accordance with the estimate. The work was performed as planned, even in some inclement weather. I have been very satisfied with the results of the work, and I would highly recommend Barrett Tree Service. I would use the company again should the need arise.

The gentleman arrived promptly, and, after looking at my logs, very kindly told me he did not have a splitter and could not do the work, but he knew someone who did and would have them call me. As we walked back out of the yard he identified all the trees and shrubs on the property and quickly assessed their condition, and also gave me a fabulous idea for a desired vegetable garden (raised beds!). Though no service was provided, I was very pleased by his professionalism and knowledge, and will definitely call barretts if I need tree service in the future.

When I initially called Barrett Tree Service, I was told the earliest appointment for estimate would be in couple of weeks. But when I later called back and left a message that I was afraid the leaning tree might fall on neighbor's fence, Mr. Trumbull Barrett called back and agreed to come to check the damage the next morning at 6 AM! He came promptly and agreed that the leaning tree had to come down and the other half of the Y shaped tree should also be cut down at the same time while he had his machinery there. Their schedule was quite full because of all the storm damage but he agreed to rearrange their schedule and take care of my damaged trees that same afternoon. In fact, he was able to shuffle his schedule to come earlier in the day. Mr. Trumbull Barrett and his crew was very professional and efficient. They even placed rubber mats on the lawn so that their crane would not make any ruts on the lawn. And they cleaned up thoroughly of all the debris. I highly recommend Barrett Tree Service East Inc.
