The Barrett team did a great job. They got here around 8AM and worked all the way until 8 PM in the darkness making sure that the trees came down, the stumps were grounded, and everything was cleaned up. They were competitively priced, and were very consultative during the estimate. We picked them over 2 other competitive buds we received. I would use them again, and would certainly recommend them for any tree work needed.

Excellent from beginning to end. Everyone I dealt with on the phone and in person was extremely professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They prepared a detailed bid. we decided on a work plan and set a date. They showed up promptly with several men and tons of equipment and did an impressive job. You might find others who will come and hack away at branches more cheaply, but that's exactly what you will get. These guys know their trees. It was a real pleasure to work with this company.

Quick estimate, easy scheduling, excellent work.

Barrett Tree Services was very easy to work with - I didn't need to be there for them to come and give an estimate, or complete the work. They were punctual and organized.

Trumball promptly responded to my initial inquiry, scheduled a time to view the work, and provided an estimate on the spot. Scheduling was easy. The team that arrived was friendly, professional, and had very thorough instructions about the work to be accomplished. They were able to use a bucket truck to make the work faster and easier and had completed the work in a couple of hours time. They managed to complete all trimming and clean up the debris without injuring the substantial garden plantings in the area.

They were great, we got an estimate for the job within a few days of contacting them. They were booking over a month out, but we didn't need the work done emergently. They took care of all the permits and posting for parking, showed up on time, and left the yard nice and clean. Highly recommended

Everything went very smoothly: the team took down our fence, removed the tree and bush and then smoothed the dirt so that it looked freshly spread. They put the fence back as they had found it. Trumbell is a very nice, easy-going person and his team was polite.

Their estimate was about 20% lower than other estimates I had. They arrived promptly at the scheduled time, were polite and efficient, finished the work in less than three hours and cleaned up all the debris. They did exactly what I asked them to do, with no problems.

Unfortunately, they could not do the work for us since we were out of their service area. However, they were still courteous and professional, and given the chance we would have worked with them if it hadn't been for the distance.

Barrett came and discussed what needed to be done with us and with our neighbor and highlighted the mutual benefit of trimming the overhanging limbs, not only to prevent animals from nesting into our house, but that the neighbors trees would benefit from a long overdue pruning. As a result the trees were carefully trimmed and the squirrels were grounded and the problem solved. The Barrett staff really were helpful to both our neighbor and to us to resolve this issue in a positive manner..

Arrived on time and reviewed the work to be done. Pleasant and professional. Work was well and safely done with no collateral damage, no messing around, and no mess left behind to clean up.

Gorgeous. Communicating with them was easy, they responded quickly. They came, were friendly, informative, had a cute red light laser pointer making it clear which branches up high we were discussing. Helpful in assessing how much to cut. On job day, they were punctual, efficient, and was amazing to watch the huge branches swing down with ropes and lines measured expertly to within inches of hitting other trees, fences, and the ground. No damage of course. Clean up was spectacular. The big hulking maple tree actually looks quite grand now; the shape has been totally enhanced. What a pleasant experience.

I was happy with them. I got them from Angie's List. They did a really good job in cleaning up. They were a real pleasure to deal with. They came out earlier and went over the whole area with me and we talked about them. I liked the young man very much that came and then the crew. I had to cancel our first date because I was away for a while and they came later and I was happy with them. They came when they said they would.

Keith Bernard was the Tree Expert I had contact with. I felt an immediate comfort with him as we talked about the work to be done. Not only was he professional, friendly and punctual, he is extremely knowledgeable. A date had been scheduled and on the day the tree trimmers arrived within the time frame expected. They were also professional and courteous. I ad a pre-scheduled appointment for that day and after going over what was to be done, I left. I arrived after the men had left and could not believe what I saw: if I hadn't booked the appointment myself, I never would have known work was done in the yard or neighbor's adjourning yards. The trimmed tree looks beautiful and I feel safer now with the great trimming job done and the yard from the spot worked on to the street where the trucks were parked, there was not a clue that workmen had been there. The area was cleaned of any debris from the trimming done. Great work and great service!! I would definitely work with them again as well as greatly recommend them. A job well done!!!

Overall it went extremely well. Keith Bernard of Barrett Tree was prompt. He went over the encroaching branches, limbs, etc., with me and put together an estimate with two or three options. I initially wasn't sure if I wanted the tree on the east side taken down, or just partially trimmed. Keith made sure that I spoke to or contacted the neighbors prior to having the work done. The initial estimate was done in the end of June. Since summer is their busy season, they were booked until the beginning of August. I compared Keith's estimate with a couple of others. One of the other companies wanted me to have the neighbors give permission "in writing" for me to have their encroaching trees removed. Barrett had no such nonsense with their proposal. My understanding of property law is that a property owner has complete legal right to remove a neighbor's encroaching plants/trees, etc. (No pre-authorization needed) I received Keith's proposal a few days after his visit. I gave them the go ahead to schedule for August 2nd. I did have to make sure that the tenant's cars were out of the driveways. That wasn't a problem. They called me when they were on the way on August 2nd. I arrived after the bucket truck had left. Unfortunately they missed two limbs which Keith & I had discussed. So they had to come back. After a few back & forth emails and phone calls they scheduled Aug. 15th for removal of the two limbs which had been missed. It took longer to position the trucks than it did to take down the limbs. A very efficient crew!!!

These guys were phenomenal. They came out and gave us a clear estimate on the spot, and then emailed us a written estimate w/in 24hrs. They answered all our questions and their questions of us about what we wanted done were thorough. The gentleman who came to estimate also suggested ways we could self-prune the very young pear tree in the front as well as the various arbor vitae that came w/ the property when we purchased it. On the day of the work they expertly backed their lift truck and wood chipper into our narrow drive and worked efficiently as a team that obviously knew each other well. I do not believe I heard more than a few vocalizations to coordinate their work. It was a team of 3 at first, and then the chipper personnel arrived about 10min after the lift truck, adding another 2 persons. They again answered questions at the end of the work, and the lead trimmer took a snapshot of a shrub he couldn't identify onsite (I had wanted to know what everything was) and later sent me an email after he'd researched what it was to let me know. This same lead again verbally told us how to look at our shrubs and trees for trimming, cautioned us about watching for re-growth around the garage, and was overall one of the most professional persons I have dealt with that I've found on Angie's List!

The work was well done. When the men thought they were finished, I mentioned to the foreman that one of the hemlocks that had been pruned, really needed further pruning. He wound up climbing the tree but it was significantly better when he was done. Nice guys, professional, cleaned up the site well too.

They were very professional and reviewed the work to make certain they understood what we wanted. The work went fast, and the cleanup was thorough. This is a great operation and I will use them again.

Very smooth and professional from the estimate through the actual date of service. Prompt estimate. A bit of wait time for the actual service but partially due to my neighbor needing to remove a car from her driveway for access by the bucket truck.

Takes time to get on schedule (4 weeks after Sandy). But from there everything went to plan to a tee. very professional and prices are fair given the task and scope of job. One of the best companies for doing what they say they can do.

We recently called them for an estimate. They come, they are prompt, on time, thoughful and we really like them.

Trumbull arrived on time and was very personable to give us the estimate. Immediately I could see he was very knowledgeable and experienced and provided some advice too which I found very helpful. He scheduled the appointment a few weeks later. When the guys arrived they came on time with big equipment, and were ready to go. They were very courteous and professional and worked really hard. It was actually impressive to watch how they made quick work of what would have taken me a very long time to accomplish (or impossible). Overall they worked like a well oiled machine, were organized, got the job done and left. There were no problems at all and I was very satisfied with the work. I highly recommend them.
