They came to my house and arrived right on time. Alden, the crew leader, came to the door to introduce himself and we went outside to talk about the specifics of the job. They cut down several trees that were close to my garage and wires connecting to my house. This made the job look difficult, I thought, but they made it look so easy! They were extremely professional and meticulous in everything they did. They left the yard looking nicer than it did before they got here. The whole crew was very pleasant and a pleasure to work with. I would never even consider using anyone else in the future.

I emailed the provider in the early morning to inquire about a consultation to determine if I should prune my tree or remove it. Once determined, I would go ahead with the next service. I heard back just a couple of hours later, which I thought was really nice. The woman who emailed me was courteous, and very forthright with their pricing, which I did appreciate. "Our consulting rate is $125 per hour, usually a couple of hours would cover the travel and the appointment. If you?d like a write up that?s usually a couple more hours." I found the idea of paying $250 a bit high just for someone to glance at the one tree in my yard, especially since they are located in the next town. Paying for them to drive 3 miles seemed silly to me. And then a couple more hours just to get a thorough quote? No, thanks. I do greatly appreciate that clarity up front, though.

It went perfectly.Mr Barrett even let me pay in 2 installments for the work. I really appreciated that. A lot of the Angies list contractors aren't even willing to come to Chelsea. Mr Barrett and his crew did not inflict any zip code shame on me. They were very pleasant and professional. More important of all is, they did the job required well! They did right the first time. I would recommend them to anyone! There was some scheduling issues.. but it was worth it to get a professional.

We thought we would need to reschedule because our yard was inaccessible due to heavy deep snow cover. But they came in with an army of shovelers, excavated the yard and tree, brought in the heavy equipment, and took out that tree with no problems. They were professional and friendly. We would definitely use them again and recommend them.

They did an incredible job. I didn't even realize they had done the work because they had cleaned up so well. They are knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and very clean. I would recommend them.

Barrett provided excellent service and did a great job. They removed some small trees that were against the foundation of the house and trimmed some very large trees for clearance to wires and to the house. The crew was punctual, friendly and thorough. I would definitely work with them again

The experience was Great! From my first interaction all the staff were professional - Jennifer was timely in returning phone calls - Trumbell performed an onsite visit to review requested work within two weeks of my initial phone call and he then provided a written estimate within 24 hours. Trumbell was so accommodating he came back to my home a second time prior to the job being done so that I could request additional work to my initial proposal and a neighbor was requesting an estimate for work to be done on his property. The work crew with Terry and Brandon were punctual, courteous and paid attention to details in performing services and did a wonderful job cleaning up after the job was completed. I was a bit apprehensive to have a large pine tree right next to my house be removed but the crew made the task appear seamless with the use of a crane. I would highly recommend Barrett Tree Service!

Details above -- the tree had dead branches that needed to be removed for safety and aesthetics. It overhangs a parking lot of an office building next door, and they brought their cherry picker and chipper trucks into that lot early in the morning before the business opened so they could work easily, as we had set up. They were friendly, efficient, professional, and made the tree look beautiful (I thought it wasn't possible).

This is an old tree that has grown huge in our small backyard and we thought we would have to cut it down. Trumbull came and gave us some great suggestions for trimming and saving the tree, while also noticing that there was some evidence of borers that needed to be treated. This was much more information than what was given by others who gave us an estimate, and it made it an easy choice. When we had to reschedule, he was flexible and then came just when they said that they would. I would highly recommend using Barrett Tree Services!

I got them from Angie's List. He was very good, he was very prompt, and he was very responsive to my needs, that was why I decided to go with him again. He was very professional, and he was easy talk to, and seemed to be very knowledgeable. I think he was very reasonable.

One of their arborist's Keith met me on site. He thoroughly and patiently reviewed the entire property with me and advised on pruning city trees as well which had several branches which interfered with the house. He was very knowledgable, professional, and polite. After just five minutes talking with him I knew this was the company I wanted to use. The other companies who bid on the job did not show the same care for the customer as Keith did. A large crew came to perform the work on day with on and off again thunderstorms. They were flexible and worked around other contractors who we're working on my house. They also stayed fairly late in the day to make sure they completed everything. The weather was absolutely horrible that day and they persevered through it and completed the work safely and to my satisfaction. Pricing was competitive with other reputable tree removal service. If want to go the cheap route and don't care about the quality of the pruning/removals this is not the company you want to use. If you want the job done right for a fair price use Barrett Tree Service. I would highly recommend their company!

Awesome! Honestly no complaints. After having Trumbull come out and provide me with an estimate, we set up a date for the work to be performed. I was blown off in the past by other providers, but Trumbull assured me that when he sets a date, the date is set in stone. He is a man of his word! The crew came a little earlier than I expected (which was totally fine) and double checked all of the work prior to beginning. They were polite, fast, and friendly. We performed a walk-through at the end and the work was done perfectly. For those who want to use them, I would highly recommend it but I will say one thing- book early! Given that they are one of the highest ranked tree trimming companies in the area (if not the highest), asking them to perform an estimate alone with take some time to schedule. Totally worth it- just get ahead of the game as they are a highly sought out company! I'd hire them again and recommend them to anyone I know that needs tree trimming services.

They were early which turned out to be great timing. I also recently had landscaping done and the landscapers left a big pile of plant material (bushes, shrubs) to be chopped in the wood chipper ~ which was not in the scope of the estimate, was a little extra work for the guys, but also only a matter of feeding the material into the chipper and a little extra clean up. So it was unexpected extra work yet also small enough that they agreed to do it for the cost of Dunkin Donuts coffee and muffins which I gladly provided to have that pile taken care of. (Landscaper would have had to charge me a hauling & dumping fee, otherwise). Because they were early, there was plenty of time for me to get the coffee & muffins, for them to have the food as a break between jobs, and then they got right to work - which ended up being right on time! They were fast, efficient and did a lot of cutting and pruning which the 2 Norway Maples desperately needed. They belong to my neighbor and 2 large limbs have fallen on my property in the last 3 months alone. Cutting down limbs at risk of failing was clearly urgent. My house & property are much safer now, thanks to Barrett Tree Service East. The Arborvitae had also grown oddly, due to being shaded and impinged upon by the overgrown maples, so they pruned it into a more healthy shape. Looks so much better. Keith, who gave the estimate was kind and clear. The workers who came were professional, good natured (loved how they suggested to do the extra work in return for coffee and pastries rather than add on to the bill!). Great tree guys. If those trees need pruning or removing in the future, I would definitely use Barrett again.

Barrett Tree Service just completed a complex job at my residence this week. They had to remove several trees from my back yard and from the neighbor's yard to reduce the risk of them falling and to let some light into my yard, which has been shaded by severe overgrowth of the neighboring trees. They gave me a really competitive price. Trumbull came out to my residence twice to review the work and make changes. He was responsive over email and the telephone. His office staff was supportive and helpful. Ultimately, the crew showed up on the day of the work on time and reviewed everything around the yard before beginning. They made sure that we fully understood the scope of work in the morning. He gave me a timeframe to get the work done that was accurate. Anytime they had a question, they asked and were tremendously courteous. At the end of the day, they left the property clean and really respected our space. They exceeded our expectations and I would recommend them without reservation and will invite them back next time to do any additional work required.

The estimate was done promptly, courteously and thoroughly. The price was competitive with another quotation. The team arrived promptly on the day of service and completed the service in a tidy manner. I will use their services again.

These guys were worth the month wait to get on their schedule. Brendan quickly introduced himself to me when he arrived and assured me they could do the job. The massive maple was located behind the property with very limited access. I still cant believe they were able to take that tree down with no issue.

It couldn't have gone better. they came on time and got the job done in a very professional manner. they were also very nice in performing additional cutting of excess growth at the bottom of the 5-6 trees.

I had my doubts when the initial visit was scheduled 3 weeks away, especially when I had other tree guys come out to look at my place in a matter of a few days. I chalked up this up the them being busy because of their quality. Kieth came out and gave me a clear pricing and thoughts on invasive trees. He then came out again to have a second look at my yard when I started to get cold feet about taking down so many trees and gave me a second option. The work was performed in a single day when other estimates were for two full days. I think it was worth the wait, they were efficient and left the yard clean and even hauled away excess wood chips (including a couple preexisting stumps). Price was comparable if not better to other A list angie's list quotes with cranes.Overall it was good experience, and I would recommend.

They had four employees come out to complete the task in about four or five hour. They were completely professional. They moved into the backyard area with absolute knowing of what they were doing. Everything they did they seemed to do smartly. They were extremely polite, did no damage, and left the area as clean or cleaner than it was before. They are an awesome group to work with.

Fine, arrived on time, removed the stumps and then cleaned up.
