Barrett's crew did an excellent job -- they were efficient and professional, and did a great clean up job. We would definitely recommend them and hire them again.

They arrived when they said they would, did the work, and cleaned up after themselves.

We called Barrett Tree Service and had a consultation with an arborist, Keith. Keith was very knowledgeable and patient with all our questions. He sent us and proposal and we agreed to the work. He projected the work could be done in a couple of months. I got a call in a month later to pick a day and time. The crew came as scheduled and went right to work. The crew had to access the tree from the neighbors yard. We were very concerned about the crew going in the neighbor's yard since they just got their driveway paved and are very particular. The crew did and excellent job and they were very careful. They cleaned up meticulously. We were pleased and the fussy neighbor was pleased too.

The tree trimming project went very well. The crew came around 10am as scheduled and did the trimming work. They cleaned up the 3 yards of sawdust and branches. I have not heard from the neighbors about anything – so ‘no news is good news’. I thought they did a good job. I was more concerned about both neighbors yards since they are so particular. When the crew left – it looked like they weren’t even here. The tree looks much neater and safer now that it is trimmed.

I thought the pricing was reasonable. They cleaned up after themselves perfectly. Followed my, everyone of our requests was taken care of perfectly.

The work went very smoothly. I am happy with the work done. In order to get to my trees the crew had to go on my rear neighbor's property. Luckily, I have a great neighbor who allowed them access from her property. The crew were very respectful of my neighbor's property and did an excellent job cleaning up after the work. My neighbor who had his trees removed at the same time as mine on the right side of me was also pleased with the work done and clean up.

It went very well. They came on time both for estimate and for the actual work. They did a very good job and cleaned up nicely after the work. I don't think they are the cheapest, but I think they are reasonable in price. The best part is they are very easy to communicate, always respond my e-mail quickly.

I think they were a little pricier than the other companies I got quotes from.

The trees look nice. They did a good job. For price I think all the trees pruners are a bit overpriced. This company is fine, they are not out of the norm on price. They're actually a bunch of nice guys. They're honest and reliable. They do good work. The workers are professional and are actually arborists. It's not just a bunch of guys driving a truck around. They're actually skilled.

They did excellent work and were very easy to deal with. They were very sensitive to my concerns and even transplanted some bulbs that were in the way of falling tree limbs. No property was damaged, and everything was left in good condition.

Keith, the arborist who first came out to first look at the tree was extremely knowledgable about the birch and every other tree in the yard that I asked him about. He was professional and responsive via email the entire time. It did take a while to schedule the initial consultation, as it was early summer and they were swamped. But they were very communicative throughout. The 4 guys who came to actually trim the tree were also highly professional. They arrived on time, they moved everything in the yard out of the way (and then put it back), worked quickly and efficiently and were done by mid afternoon. I would definitely hire this company again.

This work went fantastically from start to finish. Trumbull Barrett was very professional & clearly knows his stuff, diagnosing our problem & its solution immediately. His quote was reasonable & he was very responsive to my concerns & accommodating to our circumstances. His crew arrived on time & was just as professional as Trumbull had been. It was a real pleasure working with this company & I could not recommend them more highly. It was particularly tricky work since we live in an apartment building in town--the trees had to be carried out by crane over our fence & then broken down in a shared parking lot. A million things could have gone wrong in this job and none of them did, for which we are very grateful. Also, the trucks & tree climbing were super cool & our 5-year-old son (& even me!) loved watching the work. Professional all around!

Trumbull Barrett and his staff were very knowledgable and did a great job pruning multiple trees. The workers were very efficient. They discussed the work with me throughout the process and it was done exactly as I wanted.

Access wasn't possible from my property, so I needed to enlist the cooperation of 3 neighbors for use of their driveways/access to their backyards (I have great neighbors). Tree service was scheduled to arrive around 7:30am and they must have been on time or early as I didn't get home from work until 9:30am and all that was left of the tree was the large trunk. I missed the show! They had already chipped the branches that were removed, and in a short while, had reduced the trunk to two large sections that were picked up a couple hours later by one of their winch rigs. They took great care with my property (removed sections of my fence to allow access) and all the neighbors' properties. At the end, all properties were cleared of debris. I have to admit that I was very impressed with how they managed to get the large chipper truck into my side neighbor's narrow driveway, and then the winch rig showed up that was even bigger--and that had only millimeters to spare on either side and didn't hit the house or my fence. They were very safety conscious from what I saw: wearing hearing and eye protection, using a kind of sign language for directions, making sure that I didn't get in the way, protecting my fence, and being very deliberate with all actions.

They did a terrific job. Thinning out our tree with expect to have it for many more years. Their three man crew did such a great job cleaning up that it looked like they weren't even here.

Alden and the folks at Barrett were responsive, professional, and did an excellent job. They were on time for both the initial meeting and quote appointment as well as when they performed the work. They were careful in the tight spots around my house with all of the heavy equipment and large tree segments. The work was completed in a timely manner and they cleaned up the debris and left my lawn cleaner than it was before they got here. Overall, everyone there was a pleasure to deal with and I couldn't recommend them enough.

We had a fantastic experience with Barrett Tree Service East throughout every step of the process. Keith arrived for our appointment on time and was patient and extremely knowledgeable about the trees on our property. We received the estimate quickly and were able to book our appointment within several weeks. Brendan and the rest of the crew that took down our three large trees (including grinding the stumps) were also on time, professional throughout, and communicative. I have high expectations, and they exceeded them all! We could not be happier with the process or the results!

Our first appointment was with Keith the Arborist where we discussed the job in detail and our concerns and how to address trimming but retaining some privacy from the main street. Keith educated us on this tree and pointed out branches that were detrimental to it's health in the future and explained what branches had to be removed and or trimmed. Proposal that we received outlined all the work. Any questions were answered by Keith. The price for the work was in-line with other Certified Arborists company quotes within a $10 dollar difference. We wanted the work done ASAP before the tree buds popped and we were worried today that with the rain we would be rescheduled. To our surprise the crew showed-up with bucket truck and chipper and called us an hour before arrival so we could be prepared. (we had the parking area reserved for the job with cones and buckets and cleared the area all around the tree). Alden, the Crew Chief/Arborist and the crew of 3 were on time and excellent workers. Alden reviewed the proposed work with us in detail and answered our concerns explaining what they had to do to get the results needed. Clearing overhanging branches, how high up they would cut and what privacy would be left, cutting a few branches from our neighbors tree that was crossing into ours, etc. So we had a clear understanding of what exactly would be done. They went to work fast using the bucket truck and a tree climber that got all the way to the top (amazing to watch) to thin and trim and remove branches. Alden periodically asked us to look at the tree and work that was being done for our approval. That was great because hearing about the work and seeing it are completely different things, especially on a large shade tree. The team cleaned the area when they were done. We are very happy with their work and communication and would recommend to anyone needing tree work. In addition; instead of buying mulch at the big box store to use in our small garden areas and under the tree, we discussed ahead of time maybe using the wood chips that they shred that day in the chipper truck. It's great for the environment, natural, no additives, decomposes like in the forest and FREE. We discussed what wood chips were in the truck (no black walnut trees, etc.) that we could use. So we had them dump the load of chipped wood that was on the truck for us, to use at a later date as mulch or ground cover. Very convenient since now we don't have to go buy and lug home the product and great for the environment (natural recycling). I hope that this tip we learned about may help others that may read this. Barrett Tree Service East, Inc was excellent and we would use again.

We have used Barrett several times in the last year. Once to thin the tree branches in our backyard- excellent work and a fair price.They also had to take down a full tree and did so with care and safely. They have also helped us with the poison ivy/etc in the backyard. They are punctual and responsive both for the work and via email for communication. We will be having them return to do more tree work in the future. It's possible that other providers could be cheaper, but their arborists are experiences and they are extremely reliable so I trust their judgement.

Barrett Tree Service East was very professional. They arrived on time and set up their equipment without causing any damage. The shredder was placed on our driveway, which they had asked us to clear ahead of their arrival and the other big piece of equipment was placed on the lawn on the other side of the house. I was amazed to see there was no damage to the lawn. They used pads to drive on. They carefully cleaned the yard when they were done which looked neater after the job was done than before. All that was left over was a little saw dust. Also, the cuts they did were as expected, no surprises!
