Chris did an amazing job re-laying and pointing my chimney. I called him when I was still getting leaks through the chimney after a bad experience with a different mason. Chris quickly assessed and communicated the problem areas and quoted a reasonable price. Chris at Albatross did an excellent job repairing a broken granite stair tread on my front porch as well as solidifying a loose wrought iron railing. He provided a competitive quote and the job was completed within the short timeline, as promised. He did a job for a neighbor who also highly recommended him.

I am very pleased to recommend Albatross Masonry. Chris did two projects for us. The first was a wide front walk. The design is a center panel with borders, created by laying granite on a concrete substructure. The walk is smooth, level side to side and pitched to drain properly. Chris completed the job by sealing the granite. His craftsmanship is unparalleled. Passers-by often comment that it is one of the most attractive walks in Belmont. His second project was a rear walk and terrace. In order to make everything work right, Chris jacked the existing granite slabs, built a new foundation and pitched landing and steps to drain away from the house. He also built a new drywell and connected it to solve a drainage problem. For this project, Chris designed a system that incorporated bluestone over concrete with a granite block wall at one end of the terrace. The informal character of bluestone is enhanced by a border around a central panel, echoing the design of the front walk. Rear steps, terrace and walk are fully integrated, pitched and sealed to send water away from the house. The drywell performed perfectly. Craftsmanship again rises beyond any rational expectation. Chris and team member Pedro work very hard, leave things clean and communicate effectively. The investment value of the work substantially exceeds cost. Albatross Masonry did a great job restoring our main chimney. Brittle bricks where replaced and the chimney was completely repointed. He also replaced an extra piece of flashing at minimal cost. Couldnt say enough about this company and the work they carry out.

Chris recently did some work for us opening up a doorway & reframing. We could not be happier with the work he did and how easy he is to work with! The result was better then my expectation! I received several quotes for this project & im so thankful we found albatross construction for the job! The job was done in half the time at a better price and the process was stress free! We have a baby at home so we’re concerned with time, mess etc... there was literally nothing to clean or sweep when I got home it was a relief! Highly highly recommend! Very responsive, he worked long hours and worked very hard to get this done right. He was very knowledgeable, easy to work with and willing to help with things that weren't even his job to handle, but he went above and beyond to help out anywhere he could. I would highly recommend Albatross Construction to anyone. Chris was a pleasure to deal with; professional and friendly. I had to get my brick wall out my front repaired as it had fallen down. I thought it was a perfect opportunity to get my bathroom renovated too and since Chris had given me such a good quote, I couldn't turn it down so got 2 things done. The brick wall looks perfect now and I couldn't be happier with it! In addition, he re-tiled my whole bathroom and placed a new sink in with all appliances. Importantly, he did all of this is a timely, efficient manner. He was so clean and meticulous. Possibly most importantly was that I trusted him enough to have a key to my home to do work when I wasn't there. 5 star from me and my family!
