We are very happy. They're great. They are people who you totally trust to have in your house. They were full serviced and it was very easy. I don't have a lot of time for the stops and also have not much interest. I just liked it to be done and look pretty. They're great. They send the designer. The designer is interested in what you want, brings choices and lets you pick. You don't have to go anywhere. They take the plate, unless you want to. If you want to they can do that but they were very interested in what I wanted. They're just really nice. The designer that we had was fantastic. We had her for the kitchen and then we said we need her for the bathroom. They're fast, thorough and considerate. They don't try to up sell you. They're neat and totally trust worthy to give the key. The project manager was very nice on site every day. We talked to their subs and they said they love working for them. My kitchen and bathroom is beautiful. If you are not satisfied with some little things they come right back. Just to give you an example of customer service that stood out for me and ndash; A little over a year after we had the kitchen done, the microwave stopped working. It was past a year, past the warranty and we did not even bought the microwave directly from them but from the appliance store that was next to them but was like the same with them because of an arrangement. I called them and said the microwave stopped working. I was really just asking. They took care of it and did not charge me. It was the guy from Mitchell that came and got it from the appliance store next to his office. Installed the new one, took away the old one and did not charge us a thing. They did not had to do that but they wanted to keep their customers happy. Relationships are important to them so I could not be more pleased. My kitchen was beautiful and it was done in three weeks because that was the deal. They're trying to do this new service called kitchen express, as long as you won't have a major construction like knocking the outside walls or anything. It was like a ballet that everything was scheduled and it all worked. People could not believe it. I posted pictures on Facebook to show the progress, it was amazing and high quality. I just think their fantastic.

The project went exceptionally well. Tom Mitchell and his team that worked on our project - Marc, Victoria, Glenn - were outstanding in every phase of this large remodeling project. They substantially improved the beauty, comfort, value, and enjoyability of our home. In our minds, on a scale of zero to 10, they are a 15! Their design ideas were innovative, functional, and aesthetically great. We were planning to do the basic and quot;new kitchenand quot; thing (cabinets, appliances, granite countertops, hardwood floor, etc.). But on top of those items, Tom and his team added some great new ideas. For example, they recommended removing an interior wall that separated the kitchen from a back stairwell and replacing it with an open stair railing. The idea was simple, yet brilliant; it opened up the kitchen and made it feel more open and larger; it allowed sunlight from an existing skylight to light the kitchen; it, for the first time, connected our son's bedroom over the garage to the rest of the house and made it feel like it was part of the house. It was a creative idea that we would not have come up with on our own, that did not add greatly to the cost, and that we thoroughly enjoy - every day. Similarly, our existing kitchen had a small, ugly, relatively useless closet. I was in favor of wallboarding over it. Instead, Tom and his team recommended converting it to a built-in bookcase. Now, it looks great, fits in comfortably with the new kitchen, and holds my wife's extensive collection of cookbooks. The kitchen design is beautiful - thoughtful, functional, well laid out, and incorporating new technologies and features (softclose cabinet doors and drawers, lighting, seedy glass, glass tiles). Victoria, one of Mitchell's kitchen designers, designed the kitchen, including floor plan, cabinet selection and layout, appliance placement. She quickly adapted to our style and preferences and made countless design recommendations (cabinet design and specs, granite, faucets, sinks, toilets, paint colors) and virtually all were on the mark and in keeping with our taste and style preferences. Marc put together the construction plan, and scheduled and managed it expertly. The schedule called for a 10-week project, and they met that schedule to the day. Marc was on site every day scheduling subs, supervising subs, helping us extensively with material selection (e.g., mocking up 6-8 floor stain samples to help us choose), ordering materials, answering our questions, addressing any concerns we had. He was marvelous. Bottom line, Tom Mitchell and his entire team were professional, knowledgeable, experienced, responsive to our thoughts and concerns, flexible - and a pleasure to work with. We would hire them again, without question.

It went incredibly well. This was actually a stress free process which I know is rare. They had a great designer Victoria Heydari. We told her what we basically wanted and she brought choices to us to pick from. She had good ideas. We would never have found the floor tile for the mud room area nor the backsplash pattern without her, and we loved her taste. I am a busy person and dreaded having to schlep through stores. This was so easy! A work colleague had used them and told me how they really did it in three weeks. they do this by making sure all your choices are made before they start, and they make sure the cabinets are ordered and they have a confirmed delivery date before starting. They were extremely professional throughout. everything went like clockwork. They assigned us a project manager who stayed on top of things. every subcontractor we talked to was excellent and they all said great things about working with Tom Mitchell, and all had worked with him for years. I was particularly impressed with how the flooring people were able to blend the new wood floor in the kitchen with existing flooring in our family room area. they started August 13th. Our appliances were hooked up and able to be used on August 29th. They had their cleaners in on Sept 5th. our punch list was tiny. we love our new kitchen.

This was not a good experience. The projected project cost escalated considerably during the planning phase. Our requests to stay within budget were ignored, and we disengaged with Mitchel Construction during the planning process. We paid several thousand for the planning phase, which was non-refundable, however when we walked away we were told we could not have the plans for which we had paid a considerable amount of money. This seems totally unreasonable - the plans were not free, and we ended up paying for a work product we did not receive. The non-refundable concept seemed reasonable as they had done planning work on our behalf - the unreasonable part was that we paid for complete planning job and we disengaged early before the plan was complete. They expended less than normal effort, and we could not obtain even the partial work product. We ended up with nothing. What caused us to leave was a rapidly escalating budget during the planning phase that ended up being double what we wanted. There was no way we could proceed. Our pleas to manage the cost were ignored. We later did remodel, within our budget using a different builder. The remodel met all our project goals.

They did an excellent job. They were on time. They were professional. They were clean. When there was a problem, they always took care of it. I would definitely recommend them to others.
