During the process of having our roof redone, Paul was recommended by our roofing contractor (1) to add some mostly-decorative copper flashing to our roof and (2) to install copper on a fairly large flat section of our roof which had been leaking. The flat section of roof was on top of the second floor of the house, so it was not visible to our eye. Paul requested 1/2 of the money up front and the remainder upon completion. After spending some time working at our home, Paul claimed they had completed all of the work. We could see that the decorative flashing was done, but I questioned Paul if the flat section was even started, because there was no visible indication any work there had been performed. Paul insisted it was complete; he even had the old, rubber roofing material that was removed, to prove that he had done the work. So I paid him the remainder of the agreed total price. That night, it rained, and to our surprise we now had new leaks (and more than before) under where the new flat copper roof was to have been installed! I called Paul and insisted that something was wrong and that I wanted him to be at our home when the roofing contractor came by in a couple of days to re-shingle the rest of the roof. Paul made a lot of excuses for the leaks and said he would come by, but he never showed. The roofing contractor came to re-shingle the other parts of the roof and informed me that the flat section that Paul was to have covered with copper had never been done at all. Paul later committed that he would be back to complete the work, but he has never shown up. He no longer returns our calls or the roofing contractor’s calls.

He caused a lot of water damage. All of it leaked. We had to have all of it ripped out and redone. We had two roofers tell us to contact a lawyer. They said he is the worst case of consumer fraud they have seen. He has changed his company name as well. I called him and told him everything that was wrong. He came back and said that it wasn't his fault. We told him we never had these problems before. We finally asked him to leave. We had people clean our gutters and they said it was a terrible job.
Description of Work: I hired Paul Digiacomo to put copper panels up with our gutter system.
