Silvio came, I told him which repairs I wanted him to do and we discussed the things I was not sure how to do best. Silvio was very helpful and explained what would be best to do without spending lots of money on top. He worked fast and professional, the work is nearly done, not finished yet as it has to dry before he can continue.

Silvio has the experience to do many kinds of repairs and renovations as well as to communicate with the customer. I look forward to working with him again soon.

I took advantage of the special for Silvio's work of $99 for 4 hours. Because of the overwhelming response and the weather (rescheduled twice because of rain), Silvio came today to fulfill his contract. He arrived 15 minutes late but he did put in the full four hours. I am very pleased with his work. I had the stain here for him to use. He comes with all his equipment, is careful to spread drop cloths both inside the house and outside on the deck and he is very neat while working. If done properly, it takes a long time to scrape, sand and to stain all those divisions without getting a lot of stain on the individual lights (or to tape first), so it took most of the four hours. Once he started staining he wasn't pleased with the way the staining looked so he called me to show me the problem - the stain wasn't being absorbed in some places. He had scraped and sanded very nicely so that wasn't the problem. .I told him to proceed since I wanted at least a coat of covering before full winter. After going through all the possible causes, including the stain itself, Silvio said he is curious and is going to do some research to see what the problem may be. As to Silvio himself - he is very personable, honest, and is willing to explain or trouble shoot with you. He responds better by email and usually responds within two days. As to honesty - he worked one half hour beyond the 4 hours but didn't charge any more because he took some time on a phone call while here. I would definitely hire him again.

This was one of Angie's list deals. It was kind of difficult to schedule the service. I sent a lot of emails to try to set the appointment and I received responses to just some of them. I was informed by Silvio that he sold a lot of coupons so he was backed up. After two months we were finally able to get a date. Silvio arrived a little late but when he got here he did not waste anytime. He did an awesome job with the installation of the pole. He was friendly and cordial. He had the right equipment for the job and cleaned everything after he was done. Even though it was hard to coordinate a time at the start it was worth the wait.

Silvio was very responsive when I first emailed to explain the job and to try and schedule a date. He had an overwhelming response to the Big Deal so said it may take a week or two to get back to me. I sent pictures of the space and we communicated via email as to what we wanted and he agreed to paint not only the walls, but also the window frame and door. He worked with us to find a convenient date and arrived promptly on the 18th to complete the job. We are thrilled with the job he did and the bathroom looks like new. Silvio is a perfectionist and cares about craftsmanship. The space was immaculate when he left and he went an hour longer than the deal called for but didn't ask for any more in payment. I would highly recommend him to any other Angie List users and we will definitely contact him for future jobs.

We signed up for the Big Deal in early August 2011 but the actual work didn't take place until October 12, 2011due to a huge unanticipated sale of 142 coupons. Silvio apologized for being overwhelmed by the response. On September 20, he set the appointment date for the work. On October 9, 2011 Silvio was contacted to confirm the appointment and review various items. On October 12, 2011 Silvio and his co-handyman father arrived early at 7 AM to begin work. I provided some replacement wood trim that was pre-cut and painted to facilitate trim replacement along with some vinyl gutter repair parts and paint. I also provided three ladders because his ladders were tied up at another job site. Since I had these I was happy to make these available. The work went smoothly and efficiently with two men working but the cost went beyond the original Big Deal offer of four man hours, finally totaling 11 man hours due the actual effort required to do the job. Silvio's father, a senior citizen, was amazing, scampering up and down the ladders along with Silvio. They completed almost all of the work before lunch, took a short break for lunch, finished up and cleaned up the job site. Throughout the job they used drop cloths to cover shrubs and other items. The two men are very nice people and easy to work with the homeowner. I gave him a C responsiveness only because he was overwhelmed by the Big Deal. I think that in normal times he will be A rated in this category. He definitely deserves an overall A rating.

The work they did for me was tedious and very labor intensive. Yet every day they came with smiles on their faces and lots and lots of good ideas. The created a very nice extra living space for me out of what was just an old run down sunporch.

I was another Angies big deal customer. I feel badly for Silvio that the overwhelming response to the Angie's list big deals is impacting his reviews and reflecting negatively on him. It appears that he was not told that the could limit the amount of the deals that could be sold- so quickly got overwhelmed since he is a one person business. Yes, it did take a while and some persistence to get an appointment, but when we did schedule it, he did come a little late (but did call ahead to inform me) and he was extremely pleasant, flexible, helpful, and cleaned up after himself. Please be a little patient and give Silvio a chance.

Not well.He was suppose to return and install some simple shelf near laundry. I finally had to call him which he did call back but was driving and said he would call back to set up a date to preform work but has not called back and that was over a week ago. I am very frustrated and disappointed.

Because of the popularity of the coupon it took a while to get Mr. Carrieri to my house, but once he was there he went right to work. He did all that I requested even though it necessitated his staying beyond the 4 hours he had agreed to . His work was done in a professional manner and he was agreeable to help beyond the scope of the original job. I found him to be very pleasant and capable and would hire him in the future.

I sign up for Angie's deals because of good pricing but also to evaluate the potential for future use of services. I'm very happy with Silvio's work. I needed gutter repair, and had a garage light fixture replaced. He was punctual and efficient.. He fixed the gutter and cleaned out the leaves too, and swept them off the deck! Silvio replaced the motion sensor light fixture, but needed a part that I wasn't aware was missing from the original light. He went to Home Depot to purchase the part. While he was up on the ladder, he noticed a window frame has been rotting and sealed it temporarily to minimize water seepage until we could replace the entire frame. Silvio was polite, professional and we are currently working on defining a potential bedroom remodel project.

I bought the deal off of Angie's list. Silvio was crushed with many phone calls but still managed to fit me in. First, he came to look at the work I needed, and then he came back on a Saturday to complete the work. His work is EXCELLENT and I would agree with other reviewers that he is not pleased unless it's perfect. I have some imperfect doors that he tried to make as perfect as possible. He is thoughtful, careful and doesn't like to cut corners. He was able to use the existing hardware on one of my doors which saved me money and offered several solutions to another door. He cleaned up beautifully and put drop cloths down (even to fix a light). He is personable, friendly and trustworthy. He had to come back after spending all day at my house (until it got dark) and I had no problem giving him the keys to get back in. I will call him again for other repairs.

I'm another who purchased the Angie's List Big Deal. Unfortunately, the company was hard to reach of and did not return messages promptly (if at all). My husband's initial message trying to make an appointment was never returned. I followed up about a week later and had an initial conversation, in which Silvio said he wanted to have an initial look before scheduling an appointment to do the work. This was ok with me, but he then failed to respond to several phone and email messages over the course of the following week, in which I was asking when he could come over for this initial look. My only wish was to get on the schedule--preferably in some reasonable time period--but apparently this was too much to ask. After another week of unreturned messages, I sent an email stating that I was thought his non-responsiveness was both unprofessional and extremely annoying, at which point he not only continued to fail to suggest a date at which he might be available but furthermore suggested if I was not satisfied, I should ask for a refund. So I did, and Angie's List provided it. I wish the work could have been done, but the headache of working with this kind of contractor is not worth the savings.

The construction went just as Silvio had predicted and everything was completed not a day more than the predicted finish time. Silvio is very trust worthy and honest. He gives you his professional opinion as well as his personal ones. He definitely is not satisfied with his work unless it is complete perfection. I will recommend him to anyone anytime. He is coming back to remove and replace my kitchen counters and tile backslash. He also was very kid friendly to my curious 5 & 2 year old daughters that were snooping around. He answered all their questions and always warned me if there was going to be some loud noises that might frighten them.

We hired Silvio because of an Angieslist deal. Despite juggling lots of jobs, he managed to fit in our time sensitive job. The job proved more complicated than originally forecast, but Silvio was open and very fair in his charges and he still managed to finish the job on time. I'm appreciative of all his hard work as well as that of Enrico's. I look forward to working with them again.

Please note that this was priced as an Angie's Big Deal, so the regular price would likely be double. Last year we had a leak in an upstairs bathroom behind the bathtub, which leaked down the bottom floor/ceiling. The plumber had to break through the drywall to fix the issues, leaving some holes. While pretty easy to do, this is the kind of thing that gets placed to the bottom of the list, over and over. So I took advantage of this Deal and had Silvio come out to repair the drywall. While I realize this is simple drywall repair, I would not hesitate to hire him again in a heartbeat. He was very prompt, pleasant, professional and leaves a very clean work area. He did a very professional job as well, leaving the area totally repaired. I will surely be calling Silvio in the future for various jobs I need to get done around here.

I called Mr Carrieri for a bid. He responded the same day came by that afternoon to give us a quote. He was very pleasant and professional. When we received a lower bid, Mr Carrieri offered to work with us on the price to be more competitive. The person we went with ended up charging more than we expected. Next time I will definitely use Mr. Carrieri.

At the last minute he said he could do the work the next day. Unfortunately, I was unable to be at my home that day. I sent him repeated emails seeing when we could reschedule the service. I then received an email stating he could not service my home. He said he did not feel comfortable in the working conditions. I feel he is discriminating against home owners who have less than tidy houses. We have had workmen here before (plumbers, handyman, electricians). No one ever complained about the work environment or became ill. My house is not a health hazard. We care for other people's beloved pets and they would not use us if we did not take excellent care of them. I was surprised that he had to consult the Internet to research what kind of hangers to use to hang a mirror or prime a fiberglass front door. He should know this basic information off the top of his head. I also feel he should no longer be allowed to offer Big Deals.

Silvio was very responsive and professional while scheduling the work. He called to confirm the appointment and arrived on time. He installed a curtain rod over a sliding door and unclogged a sink drain. His work was very meticulous, clean and thorough. Silvio is very pleasant to work with as well. I really appreciated that he removed his shoes in the house, and laid a dropcloth on the floor for his tools to protect the floors. I would definitely hire Silvio again.

Silvio spent the day assembling furniture and installing air conditioners for me. I had not met him previously. My experience with him was excellent from start to finish. He is professional, polite and seems to be a really nice guy. He returned my call within 30 minutes and provided an accurate estimate over the phone. He arrived on time. I am a doctor and was impressed by his work ethic and skill. The quality of his work was superb and he completely cleaned up. He protected the work space with drop-cloths. There was no damage. He neatly packaged all the recyclable materials. Silvio saved me a lot of time and effort. I estimate that what he did today would have taken me at least five times as long. I would hire him again without hesitation.

The quality of his work was nothing less than perfect, you could never tell that a a major portion of the room had been gutted and repaired. I would recommend Carrieri Home Improvement to anyone looking for a qualified, honest and fair contractor for the smallest to the biggest home repair or renovation projects!!

I can't say enough about Silvio. Beyond his pleasant demeanor and his professionalism, he brought a lot of expertise to our bathroom project and took a 1970's fossil and made it shine like a 21st century gem. Silvio's work ethic and attention to detail set him apart from his peers. We couldn't be happier with our new bathroom. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

All these were projects I had been waiting to get accomplised prior to winter. It was done in a timely fashion. Silvio always leaves the work area clean and neat and disposes of all debris.

It went very well. I live near Boston, MA and he lives in Framingham, MA and the traffic is always a nightmare; I was happy that Silvio would consider making the trip. Also, on the second day he had to return to finish a few items. Because of a prior commitment I had to be away from my home, but I trust Silvio and was glad to have him in my home while I was out.
