Description of Work: We've been using Emerald Acres since late summer 2014 and have been very pleased with their work. We're trying to take an immature lawn in a yard that was re-engineered earlier to a mature state. Emerald Acres has provided all the right services (seeding/overseeding, aeration, de-grubbing, fertilization, fungus control) at reasonable cost and on the right schedule.

Description of Work: I'm sorry to be the one to break up the good experiences, but I cannot say anything about my experience has been positive. Mostly the lack of response from the owner Terry and manager Mark on responding to my concerns and returning phone calls. I am having a horrible time with some strange type of crab grass and was told mid-June they were "researching" it. In the meantime it is spreading like wildfire and I have yet to receive a call with a plan for tackling it. I have left 4 messages and am told everyday that they have my message from the last time and will call me - and I wait and wait. I am extremely unhappy and will not renew with them for next year.

+ 0 moreRecently we had some difficulties with one of our landscape plans. The arborist came out three times to check the property to make sure that things were moving in the right direction. He made sure that one of his people came out to spray a fungicide. He advised us on other plantings and we were very happy with their work. They followed up well. They were very knowledgeable, very customer oriented and very responsive. They are responsible and they are reasonably priced. I like them.
Description of Work: I have a contract with Emerald Acres Turf & Tree Care for checking the landscaping and for fertilization. They were here two weeks ago.

+ -1 moreI have been using them for two or three years and I am happy with their work. They just show up and do the work. They are thorough. We signed up for contract and they came and did it so in that sense they are reliable. They don't give us a heads up when they're coming but they don't come inside, it's all outside. They do the treatment for our trees, shrubs and also do fertilize the lawn. We switched to them for the lawn because we were using someone else and were unhappy with them. We are happy with Emerald and would continue to use them.
Description of Work: They spray our trees for bugs, fertilize it and do other tree treatment works. They come out four or five times a year and they were here last probably in October.

+ 0 moreI have an annual contract of $960 with them. It covers the trees, the shrubs, the lawn; etc. I have a large property and I think their price is decent. I haven’t compared their prices to the other companies. They do everything that is required for my lawn and shrubs.
Description of Work: I use Emerald Acres Turf & Tree Care for lawn fertilizing. They came out last, very recently. They applied desiccant to my shrubberies, so they don’t dry out in the winter. They also apply the fertilizers and the crab grasses.

+ -1 moreI had lawn grubs a couple of years, and they were the only company that could get rid of them. They are a great company. They are always prompt. They always come when they say that they are going to come. I have requested that they call me the day before they come since I have a daycare in my home. They always call me. They don’t use a spray, but they use organic pellet. I like it better because it is not harmful to the kids or the animals. Their prices are reasonable. They are lower than a lot of other companies.
Description of Work: I sign a contract with Emerald Acres Turf & Tree Care every year. They come 5 times a year and treat my yard for pests and other things. They did a seasonal treatment at their last visit.

+ -1 moreThey use organic products. I have a daycare in my home and I've told them to call me ahead of time to let me know when they are coming. They always call the day before. The price listed is about what I spend per year. I will definitely continue to use them in the future.

+ -1 moreWe heard about Emerald Acres from our neighbor who has a lawn that looks like a golf course. We called Emerald Acres and Becky came out and left us a detailed estimate. We called back with a few questions which they answered. We hired them and they said they would treat the lawn within the week. They called the night before they came. They left a flag on the lawn upon completion and a bill in our screen door.
Description of Work: Emerald Acres applies both lawn fertilizer and grub control.
