Cooter's Snow Plowing

Description of Work: My husband and I were driving home from Home Depot on Gleasondale Road. The road was a bit icy and at a decline. I noticed a plow truck (Chris from C*****'s Snow Plowing, it would turn out) was clearing out a driveway that we were approaching; however, the last time he backed out, he sat in the middle of the road even though he saw we were coming, and due to the ice, my brakes started slipping. I had to make a choice between hitting his plow truck or a snowbank on the side of the road. I chose the latter, causing damage to the front of my car. There were witnesses to the event, the McBrides, who have promised to send my insurance company a witness report. Chris was very unpleasant to me and tried to blame the incident on me; when a cop from Stow showed up at the scene, he seemed to be friendly with Chris and ended up not writing up the accident, saying the damage was less than $1,000, so he didn't need to write it up. Later, when I tried to follow up with Chris to get his insurance information, he said he would call me back and never did; then when I called again, his voicemail was completely full. I would strongly recommend NOT hiring this person for any services, especially since he said he'd been up for two days plowing and my husband could smell booze on his breath.

Description of Work: We have a difficult situation in that we live on a state highway where the plows come by every 10 minutes and we end up with a very high, heavy pile of snow across our entire sidewalk and the bottom of our driveway behind our cars. Chris came out and did an excellent job of clearing all the snow and ice. I had called him after a smaller storm the week before also and he was out within a half hour to clear the snow.
