Description of Work: The major service was replacement of the old shut-offs to allow for toilet repairs. Brad was experienced in solving problems of bathroom plumbing in old apartment buildings, and for me that is a most important qualification. He also replaced the bathroom sink faucet and showerhead, both of which I had purchased. At my request he also provided information on the potential for washing machine installation, a challenging prospect in a third-floor condo. I was pleased with his work, and I expect to call on him again, so I purchased the company's service plan.

Description of Work: I hired Boston Plumbing to install a natural gas hook-up for a grill. They were excellent. They came in, discussed my options, knew all the regulations about what was actually legal, and installed the line quickly. Will definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: Nick was prompt, courteous and got right to work fixing the issue I had with my sink. While he was there he talked me through the value of a service contract as they are a full service company (I had mentioned some issues I'd had previously). Overall it was the best money I have spent on my condo in the past three years. My hot water heater went out last night (5/12) and Andrew came out under my new service plan and was able to fix the issue within half an hour or so. The new service plan has almost paid for itself as the cost for the emergency call was 50% last night. | |Although I'm a very new client, I'm thrilled with the work they've performed so far. Best money ever spent.

Description of Work: They fixed a leak in the sink. We were told by another plumber that the sink and faucet had to be replaced and the estimate was $450. Boston Standard diagnosed the problem in 15 minutes. It was a broken hose from the dishwasher to the sink. They fixed it in 10 minutes. The coupon covered the price.

Description of Work: Refused to return my calls as I was trying to understand what was involved with the work. When I went from Remodel to repair their interest immediately went away.

Description of Work: Fixed a leak under the kitchen sink. Based on the location of the leak, and the state of the existing plumbing, they had to cut out the back of the cabinet and replace the pipe into the wall. They did a great job, were very professional, cleaned up nicely and were quick. My only complaint is that they are expensive. They charge by the job, not by the hour. The original estimate for this job was several hours, and they ended up finishing in less than an hour. I asked if they would reduce the price of the job, since it was much easier than they expected. They agreed to do this, and did reduce the original quoted price substantially, however if you calculate the hourly rate for the final bill, it was still rather high.

Description of Work: Overpriced the pending job to install vanity, sink & faucet supplied by me, would charge for unwanted service plan. Vanity had to be cut to allow for passage of pipes. Repipe drain & install new shutoff valves for a "mere" $1200.00. Further stated that it was a 4 hour job when Angies list provided for a 2 hour at a rate of $200.00.

Description of Work: I purchased this deal on 9/4/2012. I proceded to call to order my one year supply of BioClean. During this call I spoke to the female secretary or receptionist that was taking orders. I was told they did not deliver that I would have to come in to pick up my order. I told her I did not drive to Boston or to the Boston area. I then inquired about having the product shipped to me. The shipping costs were more that the actual product. I then told her I would see if I could find a way to get to their location and if I could not I would apply for a refund. When purchasing this deal, there wasn't any information pertaining to shipping costs or that they did not deliver. I would not have purchased this deal if I knew in advance I would have to drive to Dorchester to pick it up. This company is in Dorchester, MA and I live in Billerica.
