Solar Rising LLC

In early May of 2018 a solar salesman knocked on my door. I had previously looked into solar about 5 years prior and at the time the panels were not going to generate enough electricity to make it worthwhile. I knew there had been some advancements in solar panels so I wanted to see how much they could produce now. After this visit, I knew that with all of the incentives and the latest technology I should be able to cover more than 75% of my electricity. One other point is that I knew that I wanted to purchase my solar panels. I didn't want to lease because it can be an issue if you sell your home and you do not get to take advantage of the tax rebates and if you do it right, the SREC income along with Tax Rebates should pay for the panels themself. This is when I started my search for a provider beyond the door to door salesman to be able to purchase panels. After getting a few other quotes, I stumbled upon EnergySage which is an online website where Solar Providers compete for your business. I filled out my information and received 7 different quotes within a few days. Having had three different salesmen at my house explaining different things about solar and doing a lot of research online I had an idea of what I wanted. Interestingly enough, I had providers come out and measure my roof and tell me I could only fit 19 panels. One company provided a map with their quote. I got up on my roof and measured myself and saw three spots where three other panels could fit. So after submitting my quotes on Energy Sage, Solar Rising was one of the first to respond. It's good to have information about the type of panel you want and how many and the type of inverters before you request the quotes on EnergySage as each provider looks up your house online and does an aerial view to determine how many panels they can fit and provides a quote as such. Since this is not a perfect science, you might be able to fit more if you need it. In my case, I reached out to three different providers on EnergySage and asked lots of questions and also asked if they thought they could fit in additional panels where I suggested. Solar Rising was great! They responded to all of my questions, quoted me multiple quotes with different panels and had a great guarantee. They ended up being the second best price (only $150 more) with the exception of one other provider by $3,000. I went with Solar Rising because they had all five star positive reviews online where the other company had no online presence so no reviews. I'm so happy that I did! After we agreed in principal that I wanted them to do my panels, they sent Neil over to measure and check everything out. He was right on time and super nice and answered all my questions. He had a full write-up to me the next day which was a Saturday! The following week I worked with Angela to get all of the contracts in place and she helped with my solar loan as well. She was excellent! I had many questions and she responded quickly to everything. Because I was getting a solar loan we had to wait until that process was complete before they could request permits etc. That took about a month and then it took about a month to get the permit. Once that was received, they fit me in a week later and installed everything in one day. The guys arrived early and worked hard all day. They routed some wiring through my attic to avoid having piping on the roof. I only wanted the panels on the back roof. You can't see anything from the street. Overall the team did an outstanding job! The panels were installed at the end of July. Once daylight savings kicked in, this March and April I did not have an electric bill. Initially in August, with AC my electric bill was cut in half. I have already received and sold two SRECs which has already more than covered the cost of the solar loan for this year. I will have 2 more SRECs to sell in the next period as well. After using tax credits to pay down my solar loan and re-amortize, the SREC income each year will more than pay for the loan payments. In the end, the SREC income should pay close to the entire cost of the panels making it a great investment. I highly recommend Solar Rising if you are looking to go Solar and purchase your solar panels. Solar Rising does not lease panels so you don't need to worry about a pressured sales pitch. If you know what you want, they are excellent!

7.68 kW system in 3 arrays on 3 different roof planes. Bid price was 3rd lowest of 7 bids received, but the Company provided premium panels and accommodated the addition of a circuit, with a 60-foot run from the main panel, for a EV charger. The company made an on-site inspection prior to my acceptance of their bid. This resulted in zero change orders and no surprises during the installation. After their bid was accepted, the schedule of permitting and work proceeded as stated by the Company. The Company provided a strong labor and materials warranty. Since I had done some research, the Company accommodated my preferences without compromising, based on their experience, their recommendations on the design and equipment specifications. The workers that arrived on site were polite, deliberate, efficient, and neat. Installation took a day and a half. It is quality workmanship with all electrical conduit being able to be run internally. Besides being locally owned and operated, the team of people I have interacted with are very professional and responsive to all my questions and concerns.

Design, permitting and installation went smoothly. Installation was very professional. All staff, including the installers were great to work with. It did, however prove difficult to contact them after the installation. We have had no problems with the system, and no longer pay for electricity.

They were very helpful along the way from the bidding , securing the loan ,installation , and turn on. They answer all my questions during the process in a timely polite ,and courteous manner .Angela is great . The installation was completed in a day and the workman were polite and courteous . The installation was done in a neat & workmanlike manner . They picked up after themselves and left the areas they worked in very clean . Great! The system was installed almost within one day. Very professional, quiet, nice, reliable. Did not cost any more than they said it would. We got 1/3 of the cost back from the federal government, and we are basically driving to and from work without using any gas, since we bought plug-in cars. We are very happy with our solar panels, which we expect to have paid off in twelve to fifteen years. We spent $44,000 upfront, but will get $13,000 back in federal government rebates in our 2016 taxes. There are other state rebates, as well.

Excellent. They thoroughly explained the work to be done and explained our options. The work was completed on time and they have been very responsive to any questions we have had following the installation. The panels were installed 2 years ago and we are very happy with the system.

They arrived promptly to do a site evaluation, sent a quote next day. They installed the system two weeks later, as soon as they had all the equipment ready. They sent an extremely efficient team who installed quietly and efficiently, took a day and a half, left everything neat. Excellent installation, blends in perfectly.
