carpet installation
+ -1 moreThe installer arrived more than an hour early on Saturday morning( before 7 AM!), talked trash and bragging about personal conquests all during the installation. I was glad I didn't have children present. The carpet was substantially lighter than the sample I had brought back to the store. Too late to reorder, I had paid up front and would have lost the cost of the carpet he said. When he left, a prominent seam is visible down the center of the room. (This was not visible with the old carpet.) The color gets dirty easily and the pad is depressed where traffic flows. This has only been in my house for less than 2 years and appears old and worn. Only my husband and myself live here, so no heavy traffic. My husband vacuums at least weekly. I have not called them back. It was an experience to forget.
Description of Work: The first person I planned with was friendly. I told her I wanted best quality pad and very good carpet as The area was the living room with reasonable use. She presented as knowledgeable and gave me samples to take home. Upon my return (within the week), sales person #1 was not available. Her replacement told me our choice of carpeting was not available. She showed me another line of carpeting stating it was “all made at the same place," "marketed differently." On her recommendation, I ordered carpeting that was slightly lighter as described by this person, paid up front because they needed cash to order it and set the installation date.
