They weren't in a rush, and didn't make me feel like they had somewhere else to be. For a scary process such as this, they had a good mixture of professionalism and light-heartedness, as well.

Description of Work: Was researching on an inspector to strictly do a Radon test on my home. When I bought my house in 2011 never had one done, thought it was time to get one done ASAP. I looked up A Quality Home Inspection and left a voicemail on Chris phone within half hour from my phone call , he was at my doorstep with the radon kit !!! Very personable explained everything to a T and made sure I understood instructions. I'm truly beyond words of a Phenonemal business this is !!!:). Highly Recommended in my books!!!!!! He is happy to share his vast knowledge building codes with you and answer the most basic layman's questions.  + -1 moreI couldn't ask for a better experience. Christopher and his apprentice came half an hour early to survey the grounds and take notes on the exterior before we arrived. He then went through everything in minute detail, explaining every little flaw with the home, the severity of the issue and how hard it would be to remedy the problem. Counterintuitively even though the house was in great shape, the report we received was 100 pages long, because that's how thorough he was at documenting every little thing from cracks in the driveway to the age of the thermostat controls. After his inspection, we felt we could buy the house with confidence knowing everything of importance about it and even how to take care of the little issues that it had. I would use him again in a heartbeat and recommend him to anyone.

 + -1 moreChris was waiting when we arrived at the home we are interested in purchasing. (We were early, he was earlier!) He had already done an exterior walk around and discovered a few concerns outside we were not aware of. He did a thorough inspection inside as well, not only pointing out negative, but also the many positives that stood out. He was able to explain things in layman's terms, indicate what were concerns, why they were concerns, what may have caused them and what sort of corrective action to expect to take. He was able to communicate his vast knowledge in a patient way without a hint of being condescending. We never felt rushed at any point. He promised a written report, with pictures "around dinnertime" and he emailed that as promised. We are still reviewing the report, prioritizing and estimating the repairs that would be needed and deciding what our next steps are.

 + -1 moreChris has given a very thorough overview of what to expect before the inspection date. He also emailed all of the documents ahead of time, so that there were no surprises. On the day of the inspection, Chris came to the house even earlier and had already looked around by the time we got there. He spend his time going over every single detail of the outside and inside of the house, pointing out everything that was either out of order or not compliant, or presented a potential safety hazard. He also recommended possible solutions for most problems. The timing of the inspection was very critical for us, and Chris sent us a full report the same evening as promised.

 + -1 moreReally well. Chris Feroli arrived right on time, and went through my whole property, inside and out with me. I had asked him for brutal honesty, and I got it. He identified a number of minor things, and a couple of electrical things which he felt I should address immediately, which I did. He was really nice, easy to deal with, and he didn't talk down to me about things which are definitely not my world. He explained everything, and patiently answered my questions. I received a detailed written report, by email, which was so comprehensive, I simply let the electrician read the parts he needed to do my repairs. I will use Chris if I stay on the cape after I sell my house, to check out any property I am considering.

 + -1 moreThis was our second inspection by Chris in the span of three months. Though the first home seemed wonderful, Chris' inspection revealed one hidden disaster after another - needless to say, that first inspection saved us incalculable heartache and dollars. The second inspection found a gem of a home and we closed on that home two days ago. We can't say enough about Chris and A Quality - thorough, knowledgeable, honest doesn't fully cover it. A home purchase is just too expensive to make a mistake and Chris is the best that there is, in our opinion.

 + -1 moreMr. Feroli provided a running commentary as we moved systematically through the house. He explained and pointed out issues of concern as well as positive features. His explanations were in depth and showed his knowledge and experience. He also gave advice regarding how issues could be addressed. The inspection took approximately four hours and was extremely thorough. Mr. Feroli also explained in "layman's terms" so that I had a clear understanding of everything that would be in the report. The report was an excellent follow-up to the inspection as it detailed concerns, supported these with pictures and outlined what needed to be done to correct the problem. As a follow-up we had an electrician give us an estimate on updating the electrical system. I used points from the inspection as "talking points" and the electrician (also "Angie's List) was impressed. He commented to that effect stating that "your average home inspector doesn't pick up on things like this."
Description of Work: Did a complete inspection of a home we are in the process of purchasing. He then emailed a 103 page copy of the inspection, with photos, that same evening. In addition to information on the house he included an appendix with Zoning laws and Plymouth Code.

 + -1 moreA Quality spent more than two hours inspecting the home from top to bottom. He found issue after issue and it was clear that we should run from this obvious money pit. The $425 fee was the wisest housing investment that we could've made. Well done, A Quality!
Description of Work: Conducted a house inspection. This was a 18-year old modular home in an over-55 community. The house had fresh paint and presented well to the untrained eye but we weren't about to commit without a home inspection and A Quality was highly rated by other members so we went with Chris.

Explained what he was looking at and why. Explained his license. I received the report that afternoon!
Description of Work: This was an excellent experience and I highly recommend Christopher. As a first time homebuyer I am very naive about everything concerning real estate and Christopher explained everything carefully and wasn't put off by any silly questions. I felt I got a very thorough home inspection. He was very punctual and professional. He really went above and beyond. His report was excellent and very detailed. He included photos. Very in-depth. Friends of mine who have been in the business told me I had really lucked out with Christopher. They told me they had never seen such attention to detail. My highest recommendation. I learned a great deal from his home inspection and was more than satisfied with his work.

Description of Work: In a word.....Terrific !!! Having a passable technical and structural aptitude, I was both blown away and newly educated by Chris Feroli on the finer points of a well designed and functioning house. We're planning on spending quite a bit of money on this home and Chris was keenly empathetic. He arrived quite early and did a very careful exterior inspection of the property. Upon our arrival, he was very crisp, concise and courteous, explaining what his mission was in detail and that goal was to make us feel informed and confident with our decision. We covered just about every sq. foot of the property, in and out. Chris very patiently explained his findings and possible ramifications of them to us. Every possible ,accessible aspect of structural, electrical and mechanical phase of the property were examined, documented and summarized. Chris was VERY emphatic saying that his report was NOT a simple checlist with brief comments but rather a 100 page (!!!) report summarizing his findings with very useful pictures of the questionable areas of the home and links to various code and regulatory agencies.Also impressive was the fact Chris shared that he only schedules one inspection per day as to maximize his understanding of the property's nuances and vagaries balanced with our intentions.

 + -1 moreHe was able to come pretty quickly, go there early and got started. Quite thorough, tooks lots of pictures. As a former mason, he knows that part of the inspection the best. Identified some potential issues that the untrained eye would not have seen. Overall very solid and trustworthy. I've seen guys that are much more detail oriented (hence the"B" for quality), but they're twice the price. A good solid home inspection - "by the book". He was very open to questions and provided great service, making himself available for follow up phone calls if needed. I'd use him again for sure.
Description of Work: Typical home inspection covering all aspects - landscaping, walks/driveway, grading, water drainage, utility connections, fireplace including the firebox, electrical panel, heating, framing, roofing, windows, appliances, bathroom / kitchen fixtures. Gave us lots of information on what current code is versus what was acceptable in the past (house built in 1974). Took extensive photos and provided a good written report. He also made himself available by phone for any follow up questions, which I didn't need to take advantage of as I'm pretty familiar with most of the issues uncovered anyways.

 + -1 moreThe overall experience was great. He was there before us and had already started the inspections. He went back around the house with us and reviewed every detail. He didn't make us feel rushed and was willing to answer every question we had. We had no doubt through the whole inspection that he knew exactly what he was talking about and we had total confidence in what he was telling us. He finished his report and had it back to us very quickly and that was great we were able to get everything in the realestate compant in plenty of time.
Description of Work: A very detailed inspection was done of the home I was interested in buying. He had already completed the external examination before we even arrived (very punctual). He went over the house inch by inch and explained every potential issue or repair in great detail. He was so incredible detailed and his exlanations were easy to understand.

 + -1 moreChris arrived early to the home inspection and had already gathered a lot of information by the time i arrived. One of the first things he pointed out to me was that there were cracks in the foundation. He also showed me paperwork, supplied by the realtor, from a prior repair from Coastal Engineering. They had reinforced the structure several years back but the foundation was still in need of serious repairs. Chris pointed out a differental crack in the foundation that indicated that there was movement occuring within the foundation, another serous concern. He also pointed out to me that the foundation did not have footings and given the waterfront location of the cottage, that was another big cause for concern. He suggested we hire professional structural engineers to give us their . The engineers assessment was very consistant with Chris's, so we decided against purchasing the cottage. I feel that Chris was able to save us from a potentially disasterous purchase! He an inspector that genuinely cares about his clients. He was very thorough with the inspection and I am So Glad I hired him! Thanks Very Much Chris!!!
