Very well. Andrei is a delight to work with - calls back, performs work on time, honest, reliable, friendly, and gives great advice. The quality of the workmanship is tremendous and his crew crew is polite, careful of plants, and cleans up. I will absolutely call Bel Islands Home Improvement again for more projects on our antique home and property!

Andrei has a very balanced disposition. He never gets distressed over things, such as the difficulties we encountered in obtaining a building permit from the town of Falmouth. I tried to obtain a building permit on my own in order to save myself $200.00 all the necessary information was provided to the town in writing, yet all the requested provided, all license and policy numbers was deemed insufficient where they now requested actual hard copy documentation (something not requested on their application).i Andrei went to the town hall an obtained the permit without difficulty. Upon arrival, Andrei got the job done in 6 hours without a hitch. He is very easy to deal with and does what he says he will do. I would indeed hire him again and would recommend him to others in need of some home improvements.

Having this work done was no hassle at all. Andrei was there when he said and the job was done without a hitch. Andrei was always professional and considerate. My property was kept neat and clean both while the work was being done and after it was completed. I will surely be calling them back for my next project.

We received three bids for the work performed and his price was in the middle. The job entailed replacing 16 year old asphalt shingles from a 4000 square foot house. The shingles were defective and needed replacement before solar panels were installed. The installation was scheduled to be done just prior to installation of the solar panels. His crew was polite and courteous and took great pains to protect our foundation plantings, hydrangeas and flower beds in full bloom. The roof has several different pitches, 6 skylights, and leaf guards on the gutters. They used water and ice on the leading edge of the dormers, around the skylights, in the valleys, and above the gutter guard. It took three days to complete the project, They just happen to be the three hottest most humid days of the year. The job was completed on time and on budget. When they were done you would never know that anyone was there, except for the fact that we had a beautiful new roof. The solar panels were installed the following day and during the installation the new roof was damaged by the solar company. I complained to the solar company to repair the roof to my liking. The solar company had Bel Islands make the repairs after it was determined they could they could do it for less than their own repair people could. I'm a carpenter by trade and I know good work when I see it. I have referred Bel Islands to others who have needed this type of work and would not hesitate to anyone who needs roofing work done.

I first met Ivan and Andre a little over a year ago when I renovated my home. They were called in to assist on a very complex Greek Revival trim installation. We were having difficulty aligning the cornice trim as it wrapped around the six planes of the house. They installed the raking trim, profiles, returns, and cornices on a renovation with multiple roof lines and pitches, bump outs, chimneys. About ten guys showed up and they literally completed all of the cornice trim in one day. The work was absolutely perfect. What was even more impressive was the network of guys who routinely help each other to keep their respective jobs on track and on schedule. I never imagined that he would be available for a small deck repair, but when I explained the situation he was fantastic. Ivan is a consummate professional and craftsman. I called him with what would be a small job for him, but was very important to me. My wife's 92 year old father lives with me, so I had to replace the decking and railings with as quick a turnaround as possible, so I could schedule landscape construction and site work. Ivan had a much larger job scheduled for Monday, but he scheduled me in for Saturday and Sunday. I van and one additional man were scheduled for the job.They dropped off the trailer on Friday evening and began promptly on Saturday morning. They removed all of the demolition debris as they worked, there was never any trash or trip hazard in the work area. They planed, and shimmed, added bracing where needed, and brought everything back to square, level and plumb. Many contractors would have installed over the existing old work or insisted that I replace the entire deck. They explained everything they were doing and why before continuing. They did not add any up-charges or complain that this was beyond the scope of the original work. They efficiently fixed the framing and continued to the next phase of installing the mahogany decking. They very carefully reviewed the stock, selecting the best pieces. They picture framed the exterior and installed the field. The reveals in all directions are exact, the stainless screws are all aligned and true. The next day they assembled and installed the railings; Once again everything was perfect. At one point the cedar cladding on the step riser was hitting the 18 inch granite cobblestone walkway. The previous person who built the deck cut a large notch to clear the obstacle. I never really liked the look of it. I mentioned this to Ivan and he commented that he had noticed that, but that he would never take that approach and he brought a giant Hitachi drill and stone chisel bit to take care of that. He jack-hammered enough of the granite to allow the cedar to slide by unobstructed and keep a nice clean line. They display an extraordinary level of customer service and craftsmanship. They completed the job on Sunday. They cleaned the entire site, the walkways, the driveway, under the deck and along the house. There was no trash, not one screw. They finished in two days, exactly as promised in terms of time and expense. They were exceptionally patient, good-natured, fast, efficient, highly skilled and professional. His cost was very reasonable, especially considering the skill level and attention to detail. It was a very positive experience and I highly recommend him.

This team was very professional and pleasant to deal with. The house we purchased had a very weird layout and we needed to close a couple of openings, as well as to move some walls on a first floor. In addition to everything we only had 2 weeks to get the inside done before we had to move in. Andrei and his team was so efficient that not only they were able to reframe everything, but the sheet rock and all of the extra staff was done on time, such as doors and baseboards. I actually was able to start painting it. I am thrilled with quality and the way they were doing the business. Andrei and Ivan would always call us back if we had any questions. Their quote was very reasonable. I loved the fact that I didn't have to find a different crew for remodeling part. I would definitely use this guys in a future and refer them to all of my friends on Cape Cod. Thank you so much!

Andrei was great ! Best contractor we have ever worked with. It can be difficult to find contractors to work on a seasonal home when you're not there to meet with them. Most times we end up searching the internet to find local contractors. Bel Islands was referred to us. Andrei was very responsive. He was always on time and did exactly what he said he was going to. Andrei communicated with us throughout the project - calling to ask questions or ask permission to do something. He continually emailed us photos as the project progressed. We received an estimate in writing, confirmation that a permit had been secured, confirmation of date work would begin and when it was complete. The crew cleaned up our property and Andrei even called to say he was going back to make sure everything was in order before we arrived to inspect the work. We might also add that Andrei and his team were trustworthy as we gave him access to our home without us being there. We would not hesitate to recommend Andrei and Bel Islands to anyone.

The process of replacing our roof began with reviewing several bids. Andrei from Bel Islands Home Improvement bid came in thousands less than one of the leading roofing contracters in our area. Although Andrei's primary focus is roofing and siding he has extensive experience in all phases of building. The project was large at 43 sq. with five ridge lines, ridge vents and gutter gaurds. The project was done in the early summer and our foundation plantings are large flower beds which Andrei and his crew took great pains to protect from falling debris. The project took three days to complete and the date for the installation of solar panels from another contractor was moved up which meant Andrei had to change his schedule to accomadate the new timeline. Not only did Bel Islands finish the job on time but they did it on three of the hottest days of the year. It was over 100 degrees on the roof during the time they worked. As a contractor myself I understand the quality of a job well done. The materials used, ice and water everywhere, and the care to prevent damage to the gutter gaurd or compromise it's integrity, plus the steps taken to protect my property and complete the job on time and on budget. I wouldn't hesitate to use Andrei again and would highly recommend him to anyone needing a good quality roofing contractor. Sincerely, David & Kathy Smith

It was fantastic. They were extremely neat and well organized. They were also efficient. They didn’t damage any of the plants. They are very sophisticated on how they provide the estimate. They document everything thoroughly and take pictures throughout the process. The price was extremely competitive .
