Sigma came out to attach a gas line to a new pool heater and to replace a water heater. Since thestaff was fully booked, the owner himself (Dave) came on the initial visit to look at job and perform the gas hook up. He is very professional, knowledgeable and helpful.
I purchased a 30 gallon water heater @ Lowe's to replace a 50 gallon water heater for a 3/4 bathroom above the garage. (At purchase time in 2007 our home inspector pointed out that 50 gallon heater for a minimally used bathroom was both unnecessary and a waste of $$ on the electric bill). Finally got around to replacing it. The shorter size left space in the closet - Dave suggested that they could buid a shelf and this would allow us to claim some storage space under the heater (always great to get extra storage.).
Sigma's background is doing large commerical projects and that comes through loud and clear in their professionalism. The quality of the work was very high and they are organized, well-mannered and leave the job site in great, clean condition. I had a few questions about other house topics and both Sigma staff I worked with were happy to give me answers and recommendations in detail.
The custom shelf was really well thought out and solidly constructed. The extra space in the closet is great! The plumbing on the both the gas heater and water heater has a clean professional look.
Sigma's rates are on par with the market and the results were great so I received good value for the dollars spent.
Highly recommended - will defintely use them again when the need arises.
The following week my air conditioner was not working and they responded immediately.
Although the previous call included a report that everything was in satisfactory condition I was advised the coolant had leaked out since the last visit one week prior. He replaced the faulty valve and quickly said it was not his fault it happened. Another $200.00
The service person accessed the "faulty" valve during the inspection and found no problem. Given there was a valve and a cap to mitigate such leakage the coolant managed to dissipate. Had I not called as soon as i noticed the problem the system would have failed and the cost would be $6000.00 Since SIGMA took no responsibility for something that appeared obvious (either the inspection was poorly executed or there was contributory negligence during the inspection, I have lost confidence in their service
