+ -1 moreEmailed them about our 385' driveway job through the info request page on their website. No response. Called two times during mid morning and left a message. No response. Called the next day and spoke to the office about getting a proposal for the job, mentioned I never received a reply from the email sent through their website. They said they would have someone call me and would also mention me not receiving a reply. No one called. Ever.
Description of Work: 385' new driveway, parking for 4 cars, and possible circle drive around feature tree

I was a little worried that the patch job was a little light on the new paving, but so far so good. I'd call them first the next time!

Description of Work: After several attempts and leaving messages,no one ever got back to me.I really heard many good things about this company too and wanted an estimate.I understand during the busy season contractors can be so busy that they actually have to turn away business but they should at least return calls to explain instead of ignore. The overall grade F only applies to the lack of response.

Description of Work: I observed McDonough's work in my neighborhood and was impressed with the quality of the work. This led me to request his advice on previous asphalt work at my home and an estimate on remaining work to be done. Prior to meeting with McDonough, I was scammed by a disreputable asphalt paver who grossly overcharged me for a poor quality job. Thankfully, I was able to stop payment on the check. McDonough arrived for the appointment as promised, assessed the value of the scammers' work. He advised against paying for the scammer's work, noting that the scammers work was sub-par and their price for the job was up to 4 times the reasonable and customary rate. McDonough provided me with a fair estimate for my remaining work. McDonough's was my second estimate. I would select McDonough for this and future work.

+ -1 moreThere was a lot of work and for the size of my driveway, it was a very reasonable price. I was pleased with the service and they did a beautiful job on the clean-up. I would recommend them to other people any time. They are great.
Description of Work: They tore up my existing driveway and installed 4-8 inches of processed gravel for a foundation and then rolled and compacted that to lay two inches of asphalt over that. They also did about one inch of top coat as well. The driveway is huge; It fits 10-12 cars.
