Paul Crowley is now also operating as WIRED Electrical Contractors, so don't be surprised by the name on the truck. Paul showed up on time. He was very courteous and very professional. Very honest about what you need and what you don't really need to do, thus keeping prices down. is a believer in fixing rather than replacing, if that's less expensive.

Paul is courteous, honest and does a great job. I plan on using him again for some more kitchen work.

Paul Crowley called me back the same day I cntacted him through Angie's List. He had an opening the next day and he and his assistant arrived at the specified time -- they were knowledgeable, courteous, thorough and paid attention to detail. For example, they noticed that a motion sensitive light on the front of the house had been re-directed by a painter working on the house, and no longer pointed down the driveway. They pulled out a ladder and readjusted it to my satisfaction. I have several projects coming up, and Paul reviewed them with me, and helped to figure out some creative approaches. He will send me an estimate for future work. Invoice was sent by email in a timely way.

Paul and his employee Justin arrived on time. Went to work right away.They were polite, clean and efficient.They put everything that they had to move, back where it belonged.Very professional.They did a great job.

It turned out Paul Crowley was close so I sent a message. I got an immediate response and he was here the very next morning (on a Saturday even)! His communication was impeccable - he called to tell me when he was coming and he even called again to make sure he didn't park in a bad spot (I have a weird parking situation at my house). He was very friendly and after checking out the situation, he explained that the way the house was wired meant that another outlet that needed to be reset was actually 'upstream' of the one I was using....meaning, if that one needed resetting this one would stop getting power. I was content with that answer, but he figure he should fix it so they didn't rely on one another. Awesome! He did so quickly and professionally. They are no longer wired that way. n addition, I had wanted to install an outside cover on an indoor outlet and just asked his advice on if I needed to kill the power or what. He said he might as well just do it for me while he was there at no cost, so he did. Then, to top things off, he charged me less than the minimum I had been expecting. Unreal service from a great guy, I'd never go anywhere else when I need an electrician - can't recommend Paul enough.

Overall, I was very pleased with the service. Paul is the kind of person who is really interested in doing the job correctly, which I appreciate. During the quote process, he was knowledgable abou the service that I was interested in, was familar with the tranfer switches I had found myself on-line, and also described how he would add the new recessed ceiling light giving me confidence that the ceiling would not need to be torn up to accomplish the addition. Due to the long lead times for transfer switches due to the storms last year, it took a while from quote to installation, but I had told Paul that I was not in any particular hurry and he was also willing ot work on Saturday when I was home which also took a little longer to schedule a day that was good for both of us. On the day of the work, Paul showed up on time with a helper, accomplished the work quickly and efficienty and did a better job in cleaning up that I would have expected. We ran my generator to test it out and afterwards he put it away again in the spot I keep it in the garage when I would not have expected this kind of attention to detail. He was also helpful in helping me decide which circuits would be best to move to the transfer switch and finding them in the panel. For the ceiling light installation, he worked closely with me to be sure that the positions selected would work well and did a very nice job in the installation. With drop cloths placed ahead of time, it totally minimized the plaster mess and afterwards he swept up and carried all the plaster debris away by rolling it up in the drop cloth. I was very happy that the mess and impact to the room was very minimal. Paul and his helper were personable and easy to work with and highty technically qualified. I would absolutely use him again in the future.

Paul returned my call promplty - he came to my house to give an estimate and made some helpful suggestions. There were two jobs I requested: I wanted a light installed over my sink and my chandelier swagged and centered over my dining room table. He did the job in two separate visits, I paid him for each job separately. Very effecient and professional. I would highly recommend Paul Crowley.

We decided to install a generator hookup after our last power outage. We received a few estimates, including Paul's. Paul's was not the lowest, but I liked the fact that he showed up when he said he would for the estimate, understood exactly what I wanted right away, and got back to me promptly with his quote. He arrived on time for the work and did a very neat and professional looking installation, including running a wire from the basement to the outlet mounted outside the house. He also took care of a few additional small electrical issues we had which I certainly appreciated.

Paul responded right away to our query and set up an appointment right away. He was very professional and courteous. We wanted to have multiple lighting fixtures replaced or installed around the house (4 track lighting installations with dimmer switches which included removing existing fluoroscent lighting, 2 small fixures, 1 chandelier, 1 dimmer switch repair). The price also included one dimmer swicth for $45. The quality of the work was excellent! He does have two types of rates when he quotes- by the hour or by the job. Depending on the type of job, one type of rate may be better for you than the other. We would use him again.

Everything went very well. He returned my call quickly, phoned to let me know he would be arriving soon, and showed up right on time. Mr. Crowley and his assistant were very polite, courteous and very knowledgeable. He answered my questions and was very helpful. I found his work to be very thorough and efficient, and his pricing to be exceptionally reasonable. I will gladly use his services for all of my future electrical needs and recommend him highly.

I called this morning to schedule an appointment, and he was available later in the day. He arrived on time, and got right to work. He removed the outlets and then began work on the chandelier. The chandelier was very heavy, so Paul had to install a heavy duty mounting bracket in the ceiling. He was a true perfectionist. The chandelier was hanging a little askew, and he worked on adjusting it until it was perfect. He also cleaned up after the job was done. I will definitely call him for any future electrical work I need done.

Paul Crowley is a highly motivated, experienced, and competent Master Electrician who can diagnose and repair any household or commercial electrical or telephony issue - FAST. The cost of his services are also very competitive and reasonable. The Situation: Our house lost electrical power during hurricane Irene in August of 2011. This event triggered a series of communications and power issues with our old (115 year) house that were unexpected. Examples included the security system failing to communicate with the security provider and our household landlines being knocked out. After discussing the problems with several local area electricians and the Telecom company itself, my wife and I were extremely dissatisfied with the customer service and lack of focus on our problem. At the time, we believed that it would be very costly and personally time consuming to fix our telecom problems. Then we found Paul. Once Paul arrived at our house he set immediately to work. With only minimal guidance on the problems, Paul diligently set out to diagnose what the possible issues were, and quickly recommended efficient solutions to remedy the problem. Paul accurately informed me on what was needed to fix the issues, we agreed on the plan, and off he went. I was highly impressed with Paul?s knowledge and his ability to work fast. Other electricians hesitated to commit to the job, but not Paul. Once Paul identified the electrical problem, he was confident he could fix the issue - and he did. With flying colors. This was a great relief to a homeowner like myself. As a business executive and part time graduate student, I have very little time to solve these problems and certainly don?t need to spend time educating others on the matter. I highly recommend Paul Crowley and look forward to working with him in the future.

Paul and his assistant arrived on time (they were actually a few minutes early). I showed them the curcuit breaker that I though might have an issue (it was fine, I didn't reset it correctly); then they looked at my fireplace on/off switch. After taking the whole assembly apart (which wasn't easy) they realized that there part of the switch had burned out, so it couldn't be "fix", it would have to be replaced. Total time spent at my house was about an hour and a half. Paul took down all the part and manufacturing information and said he would call around and see if he could find a replacement. The very next day he called me with options. I let him know which one I would like to go with and then Paul let me know that my husband and I could probably install the switch ourselves. He gave me the store information of where I could buy the switch and said if we need to we could call him while we were installing the switch and he would walk us through the process (no charge). My husband will be installing the switch this weekend. After reading the istructions he agreed, there was really no reason to have Paul come back to do the work for us. Thank you Paul!

Paul is a very skilled, extremely nice, and prompt electrician. He returns my calls for assistance within hours. Paul is very fair in his pricing and has completed all of the jobs we have requested of him quickly. He clearly explains every project so that I can understand what needs to be done, what the steps are, how long it will take and what the costs will be. Amongst many other projects, he has completed the electrical work to install a fireplace gas insert into our fireplace which required him to be creative to find a space for an outlet that would not be visible on the outside and also required him to work collaboratively with our plumber. Paul also researched, purchased and installed a super-quiet exhaust fan in our master bathroom and brought in a skilled carpenter to install the duct work. We could not be more pleased with Paul Crowley's electrical services.

We recently finished our basement, and Paul was the electrician who handled anything and everything electric. Our unfinished basement was a mess--wires going absolutely everywhere, some of which were needed, some of which were long dead. Paul sorted through absolutely everything and got rid of the junk. He completely cleaned up what was existing that we were keeping, which was essential for our design: We did an industrial ceiling with exposed beams, which meant that the electric work was going to be visible to everyone, too. We wanted a custom lighting job in this finished basement with long fixtures from Ikea that resembled track lighting; 8 sets of these fixtures needed to get cosmetically spaced properly and installed throughout the room. Paul consulted with us very specifically about where the room these lights would go to best use, and he helped us with his eye for space (we honestly didn't know exactly what would be best; he was able to help guide us.) We needed the fixtures hung at a very particular interval because of the exposed beams, and he made sure they were absolutely perfect. Each track has three lights on it for a total of 24 spotlights; he even took the time to point each of these spotlights in complementary angles. Noting the heat that these lights radiated, he suggested we put everything on dimmers. If he hadn't suggested this, our finished space would have ended up wayyyyy too bright and way too hot. A total save by him. In addition to the lighting, he had to lay three units of electric baseboard heat. Again, he did this in total consultation with us and how we envisioned using the space. He wanted to know where furniture might be going, and he helped us figure out the smartest walls for these baseboards. And finally, he had to get in the proper electrical outlets and get the room ready for cable. My husband and I couldn't agree on which wall our tv/cable should go on...so Paul wired both walls so that we could keep the room arrangement flexible. Every single thing we needed him to do was done so ridiculously well and with ease. He didn't just come in to get the job done; he really put thought into WHY things should be done a certain way. His logic always made total sense to us, because he made sure his logic was what OUR perspective of our space was. He's totally professional, kind, and honest as the day is long. I honestly felt like I was letting a friend into my house, though I'd never known him before this project. We've dealt with so many contractors/plumbers/electricians/landscapers in the course of our homeownership, and I can't emphasize enough how thrilled we were with Paul. He'll without a doubt be our first phone call when we need work done in the future. I can't possibly give a higher recommendation to anyone.
