Great experience. Wired electrical has very nice and honest guys. They made great recommendations, picked up new fixture and completed the job quickly and seamlessly. Paul was unsure what wattage to go with so put in one with the offer to come back and swap to the brighter flood if after dark we decided we wanted more light. He checked in the next day to see what we thought and I requested the brighter light and I have no doubt he will be here soon to swap fixtures (only charging the difference in fixture cost). I am not sure what more you could want from an electrician - Paul takes pride in every aspect of his work and his team does the same. Thank you!
Description of Work: 1. fixed a switch 2. Fixed a fixture 3. Installed a new outside flood light where none existed (new wiring etc)

I needed an electrician on short notice to install an outlet for a stairlift and a second one in my basement. Both outlets are on one new circuit breaker that they added to the panel and the outlet in the basement is a GFI for safety. Paul (and Alex) came to my home at 7am on Friday so I could minimize the amount of time that I had to take off from work and be ready for the stairlift installation next week. They showed up exactly on time and completed the work in 1 hour. They did a nice clean installation on both outlets and even vacuumed up the plaster and debris, leaving the work areas spotless. I highly recommend Wired Electrical Contractors (Paul Crowley) to anyone who needs electrical services!

We're thankful to have our light working again and won't hesitate to call again when we need any electrical work completed.
Description of Work: Paul was able to troubleshoot an issue on a pendant light that has been giving us issues. He directed us to where to get the specialty part and reinstalled the fixture. He is very thorough and pleasant to work with. It's easy to schedule service - I like the fact that he will email/call himself vs. having to go through a front office to schedule.

Paul and team were very professional. They took the time to fit me in their busy schedule even though their previous appointments were running longer than anticipated and he had an upcoming travel. He kept me updated of his arrival time. They were honest with their estimates for price and did a fabulous job finding the root cause (which happened to be a outlet outside the house that caused this fan to trip! They also took the time to explain what was causing the problem and how they have fixed it and what I should watch out for in future. Would highly recommend them!
Description of Work: We had a bathroom fan that tripped and initially it was traced to tripping the fuse. But eventually turning on the fuse didn't help. The fan wouldn't work. The fan was relative new.

This was the second of now three projects that Paul has worked on for us. As always, he was professional, prompt and of exemplary skills. He always takes the time to investigate the best option, as he did on this occasion researching which motion sensor would work best for us. I enthusiastically encourage you to hire him for your electrical needs.

The ceiling fan replacement was complicated by the discovery that the existing mount was insecure and could not be reused due to the construction of the house. He moved the mount point to a nearby exposed beam and deftly wired it at its new location with a pancake junction box and some clever completely hidden wiring. I can't believe how beautiful it looks! Great attention to detail and excellent craftsmanship. He also replaced and tested a wired carbon-monoxide detector that requires some tricky wiring/configuration as it is part of a low-voltage system designed for commercial use.

Paul was easy to work with, responded quickly to phone calls and email, and worked well with our landscaping contractor to coordinate a time to install wiring out to a lamp post during a landscaping project. He installed a timer switch to the lamp post, and another timer switch for our other front lights. He also was able to special order a face plate to accommodate the new switches and match our existing decor. Pricing was fair, and he offered an Angie's List discount. I will definitely add him to my short list next time I need electrical work. Also, love the van.

Called Paul on Saturday Morning and he was working close by, so he came over to give an estimate when done with that job. Came the following Saturday to do the job. Very Meticulous! Spent extra times so he could do the job without making extra holes in the ceiling that would have to be patched. Will definitely use again.

Paul was a pleasure to work with. He clearly prides himself on the quality of his workmanship and takes the time to do the job right. I wouldn't hesitate to bring Paul back for our next job (big or small).
Description of Work: We had two 15amp outlets installed in our basement and three ceiling fans replaced. Additionally, Paul pointed out some prior (shoddy) work that didn't meet code and he fixed that as well. That work included replacement of electrical boxes and some re-wiring in the attic.

We joked about the mistake and he refunded my payment. Nice guy though. We both had a good laugh. I have no idea why I got an email from Angie's List in which this electrician from 2500 miles away from Nevada was promoted as a "Big Deal". I am much more careful when reading Angie's listings now. Stuff does happen.

After a little conversation about the scope of the work, Paul did exactly what was promised at the price he quoted. He's done work here before and is always punctual and thorough. I should add that he works spotlessly clean, too. We trust him in part because he has found ways to save us money in the past (some simple jobs really are homeowner tasks) and he's been totally reliable.

We've employed Paul for over a year with a multitude of electrical projects. He has done everything from exterior lighting including the front and side porches, to interior kitchen lighting to other work in the home. He has even put a whole house surge protectro in. Paul is always: 1) Punctual 2) Clean, always is respectful of our home and wears his boooties to protect the home from dirt and debris 3) Is well prepared in every case - will always have extra supplies, etc. to complete what we sets out to complete. 4) Has tremendous enthusiasm in his work and is a perfectionist. If the work is out of sight and is in an attic, where no one will notice, Paul will put even greater effort to make sure that things are always done 1st rate - no exceptions ever! - Like bobby Jones calling a penalty on himself - do things right when no one is watching! 5) Is a kind and gentle man - he is a dad and devoted husband - his work is all he has and it's A+++++++++++++

I wanted them to install a heating towel rack. They came out and gave me an estimate of $1,200. I then decided to get a second estimate with a highly rated provider on Angie’s List and they gave me an estimate of 60% lower to do the job. I then contacted Paul and let him know that I was going with another provider due to an estimate with a lower cost. I then asked for a refund and he mentioned that I would need to contact Angie's List for that. He was responsive and professional though.

Paul did a professional, thorough job installing the ceiling lamp and was courteous and accessible throughout the process. He had to do some preliminary work up in our attic and was very neat and clean. The estimate he gave us ahead of time was right on the money. We used an Angie's List special offer for the work and received excellent value for Paul's services. We would not hesitate to use his services again in the future.

Paul is so responsive. I was so nervous about the risk of fire, not knowing what damage had been done to my home and its wiring. He returned my call within a few hours on Sunday and came at 8:00am the next morning - on Labor Day! He checked everything out and assured me my home was safe. He repaired my garage doors first. As I discovered more things that had been affected, her came back several times to fix them all. One morning he came to work in my garage at 6:00am so that he could get the work done before I had to leave for work at 7:00am. He scheduled appointments quickly, and always showed up when promised. He even texted me after all the work was complete to make sure I was satisfied! It's also worth mentioning that out of five electricians I contacted for "emergency service", Paul was the only one who responded that day. And only one other called two days later. Three of them never even responded to my call, ever. Don't waste your time with anyone else. Paul knows what he's doing, and he will be there when you need him.
Description of Work: I initially called Paul on Labor Day weekend after a lightning strike right outside my house. I had several electrical problems as a result, numerous things had fried and were no longer working. He helped me understand what had happened and got my garage doors working again, repaired outlets that weren't working, replaced the outdoor sensor light on my driveway, and most importantly, installed a whole house surge protector so I will never have to worry about having this happen to me again.

Paul was very quick to return my calls and set up a date to come to the house within a day or two. He was thorough in his explanation of the products, listened well to what I wanted and needed, and took the time needed to do a good job. He was both friendly and professional - I will definitely call on him again!
Description of Work: He installed a motion-sensitive pair of outdoor floodlights, on a timer and adjusted them perfectly for a very busy street and sidewalk area so they would shine only on the walkway, not elsewhere. He also installed two outdoor electrical outlets, one was an Angie's special price and the other was the regular price.

Paul did a great job. We had a bathroom fan replaced, 2 light fixtures installed, wall mounted a TV, and replaced several outlets and switches. He also ran TV cables behind wall and performed some other small jobs (like replacing light bulbs on a high ceiling and inspecting ceiling fans). All the work was top quality. Very happy with the bathroom fan and TV wall mount with wires hidden in wall. Stuck to his original estimate and didn't even charge for any of the odd jobs I needed help with. The follow up has been great. Since this is out first house, we've had a lot of questions on how to improve and maintain our electrical. We will use Wired again next time we need help.

I called Paul to give us an estimate, and he gladly agreed to come out early Saturday morning to meet our schedule. He was pleasant and thoroughly professional, providing an estimate of the all-in job price. The price was above that of another contractor who provided an estimate over the phone, but given Paul's enthusiasm and willingness to come scope the job on a Saturday, we went with him. This turned out to be the best decision we could have made, since unbeknownst to him or us, the lighting fixture we'd purchased was one of the most difficult to assemble and install. To make matters worse, he had to center it over a pool table, which could neither be moved or stood on, since it would throw off the leveling. Paul started the job at 8 am the following Tuesday (again, kudos for meeting our schedule). He initially tried running wiring through a closet that backed to the target room in order to avoid having to put a hole in our wall. (The other contractor who'd provided an estimate over the phone just said he was going to have to put a hole in the wall - no mention of other options.) Unfortunately, our house was unusually constructed with two firewalls between the foyer and the target room. (We have no idea why this was done since the foyer opens to the target room.) Thus, Paul was forced to put a small hole in the wall, after all, in order to run wiring to the center of the ceiling. When that was done he began assembling the lighting fixture from Thomas Lighting. The directions were woefully inadequate and to make matters worse, they included an extra rod, which confounded Paul and the engineer from Thomas Lighting (on the phone). Ironically, the engineer from Thomas Lighting did not know how to put this particular chandelier together either! Somehow they figured it out, but by this time it was almost 4 pm. Despite the huge time overrun, Paul dutifully finished the other two small jobs (fixing a light switch and replacing a GFCI plug) and thoroughly cleaned the entire room. He stuck to his $635 job estimate, even though I'm positive that the time overrun should have cost us several hundred dollars more than quoted on Saturday. Paul was a consummate professional throughout the process and his cheerful attitude never waned even when circumstances beyond his control bogged down his timeline. He was careful and precise with exceptional attention to detail. There was not one scratch, dent, or scrape on the pool table that he had to work around or the custom millwork anywhere in the room. After all his hard work, the chandelier and the room look fantastic. We are so glad we spent a little more to go with Wired Electrical Contractors!
Description of Work: Wired and installed chandelier on a coffered ceiling where there was no wiring prior. He also replaced a bad switch and an exterior GFCI outlet.

Purchased a new hot tub and needed 50 AMP/220 Volt electrical service run out to it from the other side of the house. Paul Crowley had to run this large black electrical cable from one end of the house to the other, some 60 feet. He did not take any shortcuts and, even though it took longer to do the work, made sure it was done right. He is EXTREMELY THOROUGH and never cuts corners. You know he is going to cut corners and is very competent. I would have no problems using Paul for electrical jobs both large and small.
