Did not show up for first 2 appointments (one apptmt they did call 1 hour into time window to say they were not coming) came on time for third. Came in and asked about problem. Set up and solved the problem quickly, took about 1 hour. Used a piece of equipment to unclog drain. Talked a lot and was very friendly. Did solve the problem now the drain works well. Wanted to sell some enzyme cleaner to help keep drains running smoothly, declined. The 2 main problems were not showing up the first 2 times and the totally outrageous price of $370 (actually $445 but they gave a $75 standard issue coupon because of the no shows). The Angie's list pricing guide estimates between $112 to $300 ($300 range is cleaning and other repair work) for this type of service.

I called Roto-Rooter plumbing and Drain on a Saturday Afternoon at 3:00 pm requesting Emergency Plumbing Services to fix a burst pipe. We were told that NO Plumbing services was available on weekends, despite advertising on Angie's List, Verizon Yellow Pages and on their website that states Complete Plumbing and Drain Service FAST EMERGENCY IS OUR Specialty., No extra Charge Nights Holidays and weekends.. The Advertising is all false No Plumbing Services are available If They do not follow their advertising, then how can you trust them

The guy was really good, he was a professional plumber.

In the past Roto-rooter has sent someone out in a few hours. In this case, it took 24 hours for someone to arrive. He arrives on-schedule and was very professional.

He tried a pressurized system from outside house in and then from inside the house out, and then went and got a higher powered one to use through the manhole in the street and that worked relatively quickly. He did a great job and was very professional. He came back into the house after fixing the blockage to make sure all drains and soot when back down and everything was free flowing again. Excellent job. Hard worker. Responsible. Reliable.

So far I haven't had any problems. It is an old unit, so I'm happy that it's still working well.

I am extrmely dissatisfied because of the pricing. Outrageous, given what happened. I would recommend Mister Rooter, who quoted me a price that was roughly a third less than Roto Rooter. Or an independent local provider, probably even less expensive. The bottom line: pricing is inflexible and EXTREMELY high, regardless of how simple it is to fix. The tech was professional, polite, and effective, but had no choice but to charge me over $500 to run the mechanical snake down my sewer line and take care of tree roots that were clogging it. I cannot recommend unless you have no alternative. Someone contacted me after I posted a negative review on another site, but it's now been a week and they have not responded at all.

They came that day, which was great, but charged $259 for 10 mins of work to clear the clog in the toilet. Give me a break.

the snaking was successful. however, after paying $445.00 we were told we could have the film emailed. we still do not have the film, after many calls and messages, going back 6 days.

It was wonderful! It was absolutely fantastic. I can't say enough good things about them. They came when they said they were going to; the poor fella spent four and a half hours getting my drain unclogged. He stayed on the job until it was finished. He had to work under disgusting circumstances because it was a plumbing main, but I suppose that's their job, but still. He was pleasant, he was responsive, he was neat and clean. He was polite, he was clean, he went the extra mile; he even had to go buy a part and came right back and I was very, very, very happy with their work. I definitely appreciate everything he did and I would have him again, in a second.

It took an appropriate time for that service. They were excellent. Their professionalism, caring, overall, the guy was so nice. Courteous, he went over what was going on. Even better than an neighbor did. Hard to find these types.

technician (Gary #777) called to verify that we'd be home for the visit scheduled two days previously (not an emergency) to repair a loose kitchen sink trap and clean a clog further down the same pipe. He arrived at our home on time and gave us an estimate of the cost of his services. We reviewed his estimate (very reasonable) and gave him our permission to proceed. He informed us that while old, our trap system was adequate for our needs. Unlike most plumbers we hire, Gary was very considerate of our floors and cabinets, putting down protective coverings.As the drain blockage appeared to be under our cellar floor, he used an electric snake to clean the clog and ran the snake beyond the clog some 25 feet, treated the drain with a liquid chemical, ran some hot water and again proceeded to re-snake the area of the clog and again running the snake beyond the clog some 25 feet, informing us that Roto-Rooter guarantees the job for 6 months. He again treated the drain and left the remainder of the treatment with instructions as to its use.........very professional and aware. When he was done, he picked up all his gear and brought it back outside, being careful not to hit our walls. When he left, I swear that our floors in front of the sink were cleaner than when he arrived. We paid by check and I was offered a 10% senior citizen/veteran discount which I accepted. The bill after the discount came to $463.13 Gary was at my home for about 2 and 1/2 hours.

They just came in and showed the flashlight down the hole. It was quick. I would definitely go with different estimators that have been there longer.

It worked out great. The guy was excellent. He came out and got the problem fixed and the washing machine works great. The price was a little on the high side, but it works. The plumber that came out here was professional and he knew exactly what he had to do. He cleaned up his mess and now everything is working the way it's suppose to work. He had a good sense of humor.

I cleared the way for the service man. Removed the clean out plug and set up lighting for him. All that needed to be done was run the snake down the pipe to clear the blockage. He arrived and took a look at what needed to be done. He then gave me a price of $475.00 for 10 mins. of work ... I told him to pack it up and take off. I'll do it myself. The he told me he could do it for $225.00, still allot of money but I told him ok. 10 mins later he was done and I payed him cash.

We have had good experience with them. It was pleasant.

Stephen H came to out house because we had some sewage backing up in the basement. Well this issue was that we had been outing diaper wipes down the toilet for 2 years .To make things more complicated our sewer pipes were 4 ft down and100 ft to the street. Stephen was at our house for 2 hours pulling sewage covered baby wipes off the line when he snaked our drain. The diaper wipes were all stuck on the vines in our pipes! I felt so bad he had more jobs to do but because he was stuck at our house that long. It was a Saturday also! He never once complained or was rude to us, even though we are total idiots for outing diaper wipes down there! I would and will definitely call again if needed. Thanks again Stephen I appreciate all your hard work and dedication.

Unsuccessful for reasons outside of the roto-rooter control. The technician tried for an hour and advised most likely it is plumbing issues (plumbing not to code) that is preventing him from reaching further than 5 feet. I will be calling my plumber to inspect further. The roto-rooter scheduling office was very efficient, I called around 10am and was offered a visit the same day. Technician arrived in the agreed upon time slot, was professional and explained in detail the efforts and the challenges. The best part - given the job was not successfully completed - I was not charged.

The work was done quickly and efficiently and for a reasonable price . Would hire again,
