Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Things went very well....had a clog in my kitchen sink which they promptly removed they were here less than an hour.

Joe Rocca routed and cleaned the line to the street and followed with a video camera of the damage. He was able to clear the line enough for me to use the plumbing on a limited basis. The price includes Joe's work as well as the excavation, replacement, all town permits and inspections. Repair crew worked quickly and efficiently. Overall, the work was done well and quickly at a competitive price.

The plumber showed up on time and did a great job snaking out our pipes from the kitchen and bath to the outside. No problems there. And the price I thought was reasonable at $349. The problem comes when he suggests that our trap is corroding and that we need it fixed ASAP at a cost of $3500... wow! He told me to call my homeowners insurance, tell them the trap was broken, so I could get it fixed right away. So I called my cousin a local plumber and he says he does this kind of work all the time. It cost me less than $500 and I didn't get a discount. I will never trust Roto-Rooter again.

We have an 1865 Victorian home. When we had a problem with our upstairs bathroom no one seemed to have the time to resolve the problem in a timely manner. We decided to call Roto-Rooter. A registered plumber got right back to us and came by early the next day. He found out what the problem was ( a very old lead trap) and replaced it that day. I'm sold on Roto Rooter!

I called 2 other companies and was told of a respond price of $150.00 and it would be applied if I did the work. I felt this would force me to accept there price to recoup my $150.00. I called Roto-Rooter and was told there is no charge for the estimate and I would be fully informed before work began. This went very well because the techs were very knowledgeable and professional. I would use this company again and I highly recommend to my friends.

Did well but didn't leave the drain cleaner that I found out later they should have.

The serviceman was excellent. Once he heard what the problem was, he diagnosed the source of the problem and in 25 minutes later he had taken care of the problem. He also gave tips for prevention and maintenance. This my third time using Roto rooter since 1999. and my experiences have all been excellent.

They came out Sunday night. Fixed the toilet. Great service!

Gilbert was excellent! He came to snake a drain and needed to remove the toilet to do so. He also needed to vacuum a clogged pipe overflow from a bathroom toilet and shower. He was here less than an hour and was very efficient.

They were a lot later than they said and pretty expensive but they were the only ones that would come out the day we called. Once they arrived they were fast and friendly, even our skittish dog liked one of them.

If you clog your toilet on a weekday, and your usual plumber is free, you don't usually call Roto Rooter, because their price is considerably higher than the usual. But if you clog it on a Sunday, they charge only their standard price, which is less than half your plumber's special emergency rate, assuming he can be persuaded to come at all. Since plumbing usually acts up on weekends, I've often used Roto Rooter, and I've always been glad I did. They come, they come quickly, they do the job, and all the staff are courteous & personable. The one who came this time is named Frank, and apart from being nice in general, he gave us good advice about toilets and a dripping faucet. Also important to us, tho' not in his job description, was his cheerful greeting and pats to the cat. This particular cat is outgoing but sensitive. He gets hurt feelings if men don't like him, and then broods about injustice in the universe. His whiskers droop for days. It gets depressing. Therefore we always feel especially grateful to servicemen who, like Frank, show sensitivity to feline needs.

the final bill came in almost $600 above the invoice estimate I signed. I had to call the supervisor and while we were refunded the difference, we were told that the technician made a mathematical mistake. Honestly, I think Roto-Rooter hopes that clients won't notice and they can get away with cheating people.

We had a clog in our main sewer line and water was backing up into our basement. Frank came by and helped clear out the remaining water in the basement, and was also able to unclog the sewer line by going in through our basement toilet. He removed several roots from the line, and recommended a 6 month solution to help alleviate future issues. Frank was courteous and cleaned up very nicely afterwards. He was extremely considerate of any type of dirt left behind which was greatly appreciated even though the work was done in the basement.

The guy that came out was nice but there quote was outrageous. They quoted me $400 just for a clogged drain. They didnt even go in the bathroom to look at anything. I ended up having a guy come after that who snaked the drain for $125. They were also 2 hours late on top of it all and wasted my whole day.

Sewage was backing up through the toilet in the downstairs bathroom. I called Roto-Rooter to resolve the problem. Two representatives promptly arrived and opened the cover to my septic tank. Tree roots were obstructing the exit of the main sewer line and caused the clogging. They set up their equipment and cleared the line, replaced the cover, and cleaned up the area. They had showed me with a camera that the main line was completely clear. The two Roto-Rooter representatives were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. They also anwered all my questions. I would use Roto- Rooter again.

I found them very good. They come in and did the job. They stuck to it all day long because it was a tough job and cleaned up thoroughly after they were done. They cured the problem. They were very good at doing it. They stuck to it. I kept thinking that they might give up and go home. It took so long for them to get to the source. I think the source of the blockage was out in the street somewhere. But they stuck to it until they go it done. That was good. I think they went beyond what they really had to do. I would call them again in a heartbeat. I was a little surprised that the pricing was as expensive as it was. Nevertheless I was happy to pay it, because the job was well taken care of.

They were great at picking up and sending someone right away, even on a Sunday night. As advertised, they charge a flat rate for their service regardless of how long it takes and what day or time it is - that is ideal if like me you had an emergency late night on a weekend. However, it means that they seem to charge a higher than average price all around so I wouldn't recommend them for a routine or non-emergency situation. While they were able to resolve the backup by draining the pipe, they recommended a bigger fix which could not be done at that moment - this was all disclosed prior to them starting work. They sent someone the next day to do the bigger project, however their estimate was astronomical and they weren't even prepared to do the work. This was frustrating as I expected the problem to be fixed but instead had to schedule yet another person to fix the root cause which was an outdated house trap.

Unclogged drains ? Clogs in sink and tub caused by hair, soap and toothpaste buildup in the trap and drainpipe. The service technician was skilled a clean the drain of any and all debris, restoring proper drainage. Very expensive!

Provider's answering service wouldn't give estimated cost of drain cleaning, but said serviceman would give quote with no obligation for me to take. Quote and quot;with $40 discount couponand quot; was 2.5 times the cost of another service quoted on the web which I used satisfactorily. Seems to me that this provider is banking on the customer's desperation and willingness under those circumstances to accept outrageous charge.

Technician ran a plumbing snake from my down stairs toilet connection. The line was plugged with tree roots. Once the line was free he repeated the cleaning to assure nothing was left behind. He cleaned the bathroom area and left. The entire proceedure took only about an hour. This was done on a Sunday afternoon as well. Great service and response to a dreadful stoppage.
