We requested that the work include removal of as much of the old chipped paint as possible to create a smooth surface for the new paint. The crew did a fantastic job of preparing the surfaces for new paint. They also filled cracks and gaps in the wood to create a seamless finish. We are very pleased with the work!

Carlos was terrific. His crew power-washed our ranch house and two level deck, replaced wood around one window which had significant water damage, primed and painted the garage door, shutters and all exterior trim with two coats of paint. They showed up when they said they would, and worked very hard. It was an excellent experience.

Carlos and his team were extremely professional, meticulous, efficient and hard working. We had a short time frame that the work needed to be completed before we moved our family into the house. They went above and beyond to get the job done, in its entirety (even up to 4 coats in some rooms), and done very well! We are so happy with the results. I have worked with Carlos and his team on restoring our 1950's era ranch house. After seeing the quality of their exterior painting work I hired his company to update many areas of our house. This included repairing and painting primary living space walls, a living room wall which was redesigned with a entranceway shelf enclosure with a black granite top, replacing 2 bedroom windows facing the backyard with a beautiful glass and oak french door set, installing new recessed LED lighting in the ceilings and mounting our large screen plasma TV on an articulating wall support. We wanted to replace the other exterior doors with mid century modern designs. Carlos found authentic looking doors that are fiberglass insulated. They look like wood but have saved us $$ on our heating/cooling bills. I've never worked with a more responsible group of people. Everything is cleaned and put back in order at the end of each day's work. When they sand a wall they hold a shop vac in the other hand so no dust settles. I highly recommend Carlos, his team, and his advice. All work is done on time, at very competitive costs, and of the highest quality. An important reason for me to continue using the services of any company is having a level of trust, and easy communications. Carlos always answer his phone and is responsive immediately to every need. This is a huge plus.

It went great. He was here everyday. He had a person onsite who was in charge. He came every evening to check on things. They were really prompt everyday. They were very professional. They left no trash behind and made sure everything was picked up.

My overall experience was fantastic. They painted the outside of the house, the shed, carpentry and the inside rooms. They installed and painted doors and they also did sheet rack. They recommended some colors as well. They left the garage clean because they were storing their stuff in there. They were trustworthy and they worked straight through from 8-5.

The team was very professional and paid attention to details. The house is an antique cap in Natick and they absolutely did an excellent job. I would high recommend them to anyone who has a painting job to do. The house looks so good that i have gotten compliments from total strangers walking by the house. The job was done in about a week and they even worked on Saturday as they had a day where they could not work because of rain. They even took care of small item such as mailboxes, decorative hanging ...etc. Carlos the owner was excellent in communicating and giving advice on the best way to move forward. We hired Carlos to help us update an expanded 50?s ranch house. His company did an excellent job on interior projects (see our ?interior? review) so we took his bid on painting our house and repairing outside wood working. He gave us a detailed listing of work to be down and continued to update the list as we added more work to the project. His invoices included copies of material costs receipts. His crew brought a new meaning to ?power washing.? They did a very thorough job with great attention to detail. His carpenters rebuilt many rotted window frames and a difficult 8-sided portal window over the attic. The work was exacting and everything was sealed properly. I had asked Carlos to demolish a 60-year-old shed in the back yard and remove the materials. After inspection he recommended repairing the shed as it was solidly constructed, and would cost more to tear down and remove than to rebuild. I was skeptical but agreed. The final painted result is now an actual property asset, we were very impressed. The fact that Carlos is always available made a huge difference as work progressed. My wife and I had picked a color for the house from a catalog and foolishly requested it without painting test samples on the house. In bright daylight it was horrible. When I came home and saw it I immediately called Carlos who stopped work and let us pick a new color. It was our fault, but he gave us a very reasonable price for redoing 2 coats with a new color that we now love. The crew was polite, always on time, and cleaned up everything as they worked. Their work was excellent and Carlos always kept on schedule and kept me informed on all work. I can?t think of anything that Carlos and his crew didn?t execute better than I had expected.

My wife and I are updating an expanded ranch house built in the early fifties. We?ve been trying to do as much work as possible ourselves but finally decided we needed professional help. After getting a bid from another painting company I found the review here for Carlos and gave him a call. He picked up the call?not straight to voicemail, like all the other contractors I?ve been dealing with. He made an appointment and showed up on time and listened closely to my description of the work I wanted performed. He sent me a detailed written cost analysis that was very reasonable. The crew is very professional and friendly. They worked quickly but carefully. I?m accustomed to checking up on these projects and finding where shortcuts have taken place. The work from Carlos? team was always more than I expected. Our living room had many outlets across one wall for ancient cable TV hook-ups. I told Carlos I would get some plasterboard and fix/patch the holes before his crew began the project. He said ?don?t worry, we will take care of that? (even though it wasn?t in the bid). His crew had the walls looking pristine and ready for painting by the next day. As work proceeded I asked for bids on more interior paint projects. Carlos gave me pricing immediately and I had the work done. One of the projects was particularly difficult?sanding, sealing and painting circa 1954 glossy paneling in a stairway to the basement. It required many coats of oil-based primer and final finished coats of paint. It was an amazing transformation. I asked Carlos if he could give me a price on power washing the patio in the back yard. We had the patio cleaned before and it still looked in very poor condition; we were planning to have it removed at a future date. I agreed to a very reasonable additional cost and the guys spent all day power washing 60 years of moss and stains away. We were amazed, the patio looked like new. Now we are planning to have the slabs leveled and reset. Carlos and his crew have an incredible work ethic. Carlos always answers his phone. That?s a big deal on restoration projects because something unexpected is always popping up. The crew is professional and continuously cleans up all areas as the work progresses. I would hire Real Painting to do anything that is in their realm of expertise. In fact, I?m hiring him to do all of the exterior painting. Very highly recommended.

Carlos and I agreed on the project on a Wednesday with the agreement that a piece of the work (power washing) would be performed Saturday. He did not show up Saturday and nonchalantly indicated he would come the following week. When I confronted him, he said he didn't show up because he didn't receive a down payment. There was no way for a down payment to reach him in 2 days. This was just an excuse for not showing up as agreed on Wednesday. Carlos should learn to accept when he's wrong rather than making nonsensical excuses.

Carlos was very professional and easy to work with. He responded to both phone and email communications very quickly. He was able to complete all the work we agreed to sooner than he originally estimated. His crew was very professional - they worked well together, took great care around the exterior of our home (landscape, hardscape, etc) and were a pleasure to talk with during the project. Real Painting was very competitive on price and the service delivered was fantastic. I'd recommend them to anyone and would certainly use them again for our painting or improvement needs.

The people who work for Carlos are very nice and very professional. They take great pride in their work. The only thing you need to be aware of is that the job will take longer than originally planned. At the end of the job, they could have rushed and not done a thorough job, but they did not. You can trust that they will prep the walls and truly paint 2 coats. There was some confusion at the end of the job regarding the paint. Carlos could have be argumentative but he was not. He was very professional and agreed with our understanding regarding the cost of the paint. So, if you want high quality painters and a professional owner, this is the company for you.

This is my second review of Real Painting; earlier this year, they completed some interior work for me (removing wallpaper, sanding and prming walls, and painting). From start to finish, I have been just as pleased with the exterior work as I was with the interior project. The work started when promised and despite complications of rain and cold weather, was completed when promised. The crew (3 men some days, 5 men other days) was friendly but not obtrusive. On days when the weather allowed, they arrived early (before 8 AM) and worked late (one evening, until after 7) with only very short midday breaks. Cleanup each day and at the end of the project was meticulous and much appreciated. As was true during the indoor project, the crew chief and/or the owner let me know each day what they expected to accomplish and checked repeatedly to see if I had any questions. The owner suggested a change in the paint color for the foundation from an existing beige to a light gray; his suggestion was spot-on, and the result is a substantial improvement in the appearance of areas of the house where the foundation is especially visible, and also of a large retaining wall along the driveway.

Owner came promptly to look at job, submitted estimates in form requested, and responded promptly to schedule interior work when I accepted estimates. (Exterior work cannot be scheduled until weather improves). Crew (2 people most days, a third person on the day when sanding was done) arrived promptly each morning at 7:30, worked steadily with only a short midday break, until approximately 6:30 each evening. In a small house with access to the job site through basement and then the main part of the first floor and only staircase, they were friendly but unobtrusive, coped well with three overly-curious dogs and a cat, were scrupulous about confining supplies to the work area and about cleaning up each evening before leaving. Offered a summary each morning of what they expected to accomplish that day, and another summary at the end of the day of how the project was progressing. The owner came by at least twice each day, to check on progress. In a small house with rooms crowded with antique furniture and (in one room) computer equipment including an internet server, they took great care not to damage anything, and the owner actually took cell phone photos before the project started, to aid in re-placing furniture at the end. Wall preparation was painstakingly careful, and the job called for priming and then two coats of paint in my chosen color. I am delighted with the work and would recommend Real Painting with confidence and enthusiasm. I have contracted with the firm for painting the exterior of my home as soon as the weather permits and will submit a separate review for that project.

We have used Carlos and Real Painting for several interior and exterior painting projects. He has always delivered high quality work and complete professionalism. Most recently we hired Real Painting and Home improvement to rip out our kitchen tile floor which had not been installed correctly during a previous remodel done by another contractor. It was uneven and tiles would pop up ever so often. Given the fact that we were not sure what pre-exitsting problems we were dealing with under the tile we sort of had it in our minds that anything would be better than what was there. Carlos and his team far exceeded our expectations. They were diligent, conscientious and delivered results we could have only dreamed of. We also had some work done in our powder room. New tile flooring, new wainscoting, and new paint. It looks wonderful and the quality is great.
