We hadn't expected the walls of the house we bought to be in such bad condition but after the seller moved out it was clear they needed professional help. Marc was able to work us in according to our tight schedule between closing and moving in to a new house. Marc was very responsive and very sweet to our family as I was pregnant and it was a big time of transition. The total came in a little more than the estimate due to the unexpected number of layers of wallpaper in one room - by the time they got done stripping it all we determined it would look better to put new wallboard over everything. In a 100-year old house such things are to be expected. They finished everything (barely!) before we were set to move in, even with the unexpected additional work. Marc called to check that the work looked okay after we were moved in, and also sent someone to patch a spot we noticed after we had moved in. All in all a very good experience. The old hardwood floors he suggested staining a darker color to cover some damage and we LOVE the darker stain - they are so beautiful!!

We have been planning to remodel our master bath and convert a small room into a walk-in closet. I contacted multiple companies through Angie's List and MA Painters and Remodeling was first to respond and come on-site to give us a free estimate. Their prices were much better than competition. After agreeing on the estimate, he provided us a detailed contract. He answered all my questions with patience and came on-site a second time with his plummer to make sure about the work to avoid surprises. Overall, I am very happy about how professional and responsive he is, and the fair price he gave. Due to financial reasons, we postponed the project to next year, however, I will only call him next time around. I would definitely recommend him.

Although it was challenging to get a date on the calendar for the work because of how busy Marc and his team are, once they came out to do the work, it went as scheduled and the results are great. We upgraded our paint to SuperDeck paint because it lasts much longer than regular paint, and my front porch takes a weather beating with each passing season. I'm very happy with the results and I have already requested another quote from Marc for some interior painting next.

He came to check the property, and asked for additional $1500 (above the deal price). The deal was for 1400 sq ft, but actual work is for 1466 sq ft. He also expressed the desire to take more work. When we call him up to give additional work, his manager said, distance is too much, he can't travel. So we decided to move for better contractor!

Initial scheduling to start the work took a bit longer than anticipated, but that is to be expected since they had other clients scheduled and it is difficult to align schedules. It was hard for me to know when buying the "deal" if it would cover the work that I was looking to do. I had thought 40 hours would have been sufficient, but Marc came to take a look at the apartment and helped to manage my expectations. I also decided to purchase all supplies through Marc, which was a time saver for me. Being that the deal was for 40 hours, time was of the essence. I was unable to monitor the painters' comings and goings each day, but Raquel checked in with me almost each morning and evening to update me on hours worked and see if there were any concerns. I really appreciated Raquel's attentiveness since the project was a big under taking, even bigger than I had anticipated. There were a couple of issues that arose as the painting progressed (drips, dust, missed spots, moved items, one broken item), but all were to be expected and were managed well by Marc and Raquel. Marc really impressed me when, at the end of the project and the agreed upon hours, he painted a radiator cover himself since the two painters had not yet done so. All in all the project took an additional 23 hours (above the 40) and there were a few areas that were not painted as I was not prepared to go beyond 24 hours of additional work. However, the apartment looked excellent, albeit a bit messy, after the painting was completed.

We initially hired MA Painters and Remodeling this past winter to clear our roof after ice dam leakage. I was so impressed with the job they did that when I realized that they do all kinds of work I decided to hire them to make all the interior repairs. The work included replacing drywall on a portion of ceiling and wall, plastering those areas, replacing insulation and air/vapor barrier, repairing, washing, sanding, priming and painting kitchen walls, ceiling and cabinets. During the work they were very careful to cover all appliances and seal doorways against dust and work debris, and then each evening before leaving they would completely clean up everything and uncover my appliances so that I was able to use the kitchen after they left. They were very hard working and very careful and respectful of my house. Fernando, the crew leader, was excellent at communicating their progress and plans to me so that I could plan my day accordingly, They were very thorough with the prep work which I know to be the most important part of a successful painting job. They used high quality paints and did an excellent job. I could see that Marc runs a very efficient and well organized company. Having said all that, the most important reason I highly recommend them is that they earned my complete trust and respect. After the paint dried I realized that there had been a mix-up in one of the paints. I called Marc not knowing what kind of response I'd get. Instead of it becoming a problem he had Fernando and a member of the crew come out to repaint the areas in question ? no problems, no arguments. Anyone can make a mistake, but you know you're dealing with good people when they come through and stand by their work. Thank you Marc. It was a pleasure to do business with you and your people.

They were very good. It was an Angie's big deal of four man hours of snow removal from the roof. I was very happy with them. The price was good, they were very professional and he came right away. He got back to me on email and then sent his crew over. After they shoveled the snow off, I said I didn't want it against the house and they told me once they were done, they would shovel it away from the house. He was upfront on what it would have cost if they'd offered additional services and what the additional services would be.

Marc and the rest of the crew were very accommodating and nice and it was an overall good experience. I would have liked the scraping and sanding of the wooden window frames and front door frame to be a little more detailed but I’m picky. There were a few small delays but that’s what happens with painting crews because they’re working on other jobs simultaneously. Overall, great job and we’re very happy. We highly recommend them.

We contacted MA Painters to repair ice damage. They did an excellent job. We are extremely pleased. The crew was professional and worked extremely hard. When we asked them to do something extra it was always done. Marc, the owner, was extremely helpful and responsive to our requests. He promptly returned phone calls. We would highly recommend this company.

They showed up on time, scraped a lot of old peeling paint and painted our front porch, steps and door. Everything looks great now. They also did a thorough job cleaning up the work space. I would use again.

We hired Marc and his team to repair the extensive ice dam water damage we had during the winter. One of the main reasons we decided to go for this team was because they are super responsive. Pretty much all the emails were responded immediately like within 15 minutes to an hour. Marc and his team was able to work within the budget that set by the insurance company. And gave us a couple of advice on how to make a couple of improvements. The tile guy that he used is skilled. We ran out of wall tiles and was not able to find a match. His tile guy managed to cut the bigger floor tiles and finished the job beautifully. Marc is easy to work with and very flexible. We ended up decide not to finish the floor, he's accommodating through out. The painting job is excellent. The guy who finished the painting job at the last day touched up all the details and we are very grateful we can get our house back to normal in 10 days.

Marc, the contractor, is a very honest and professional man. I was thinking that the company deals with painting only but they do everything superbly. I was very satisfied with their service that I did not look into another contractor anymore. I negotiated with two big companies before I found this company and you can really see the difference. MA painters and remodeling is the right company to hire that I am not ashamed to recommend to my friends and co workers. The company made my house a HOME!

Ceiling was restored after water damage. Also ceiling and walls were painted over. A few interior doors were changed. Marc gave us some recommendations how to protect our house from a future damage that were very helpful. We are planning to work with him again soon.

I left a message for MA Painters to obtain an estimate for painting. I waited several days but did not receive a call back, so I called again. Raquel answered and hurriedly took down my information while children were screaming in the background. We scheduled a time for someone to come out, and it is a no show. No phone call to reschedule or apologize. I will not call back a third time and have a hard time believing all of MA Painters' positive reviews.

So you might think it a little strange doing a review of a company that in the end wasn't hired for the task. Had water damage to ceilings. Called three companies for estimates, all listed on Angie's List. Marc from MA painters came to the house. Spent the time, explained options and in general, as I told him, did an excellent job selling his company and services. For reasons out of his control we decided in the end to go with a different group but was impressed enough with Marc, his manner and knowledge that I have would have no problem considering MA Painters for future work or recommending him to others

Always on time and makes suggestions where I can save money. Honest and professional.

It went well- it was a pretty simple job and I was happy with the service. It did cost an additional $60. The work was fine - I was not there but when I came home and the snow was removed, I was very happy with the service.

Work was outstanding. Before his crew came in we had to get some rewiring done in that room which caused lots of notches around the room. The electrician was impressed when he came back and saw what Mark and his crew had done. The room looks top notch.

The communication was great - they responded quickly every time I emailed or called. They were clear with their pricing and what they were doing, worked hard and we haven't had leaking since!

They did the work promised, and eventually as the temps rose, the ice melted, the snow melted and there was clear, runoff with no further ice dams or water backing up into the house. However, I am not at all certain this is the best method though it is very, very common in New England because it all depends on rising temps as to how fast the ice and snow will melt. Heating cables on the roof and in the gutters would probably work much better and faster, as it can be turned on and off at will or left on all the time at a certain setting. Power steaming is also available, not from this firm but others, and it would melt the ice much, much faster and more effectively but it requires separate machinery to generate the steam, two men to handle the steam hoses, and is more expensive, perhaps $600 per hour? The best approach is to shovel off the snow after each snowfall, put heater cables in the gutters and perhaps 2 feet of the roof above the gutters, and just control when the cables are on or off and for how long. Once installed, it could also be much cheaper than calling a group of able-bodied men to climb onto the roofs and shovel off the snow, crack the ice and spread melting chemicals. Good Luck!

The team of 4 arrived and began working immediately to clear ice dams. They were courteous and cleaned up the area once the work had been performed.

I was able to get MA Painters out the day after I purchased on Angie's list. A team of four came out and removed snow for 2 hours. They were good on communication, letting me know right away when they could come out and they were on time the next day.

I had been searching for an Angie's Deal for a couple of days for myself and my daughters. We all had water infiltration problems but didn't know who to contact for help. When we spotted the deal for snow and ice dam removal we purchased it right away and got in touch with Raquel. We were dealing with two houses and she was excellent in scheduling us very quickly, keeping in mind that we had ongoing damage occurring to both houses. She sent emails each night keeping me informed about the scheduling which was very reassuring since I was dealing with a company I had never used before. The deal was for $299 for 4 hours of work at each house and I was the one with time to oversee both projects. When they arrived, the crew consisted of 4 men who were all very pleasant and very hard working. Fernando kept me informed about what they were doing and the time constraints. He understood the areas on the roof that were causing the problems and explained what he was doing to address them. In the end I felt confident that it was well worth it to expand the scope of the work a little and to pay the extra amount. I know that this winter's trials are not over yet and that the clean up and repairs still remain to be done. This company does all the work that I'll need down the road and I plan to hire them for this work as well.

The company could not perform the work when I needed it done so I did not end up using the big deal I had purchased with them.
