I have had numerous problems with my kitchen cabinet renovation project with Kitchen Magic. I've had several delays (2 months) due to receiving the wrong size doors due to the bad measurements and was shipped the wrong style (cabinet door) glass. If you are an existing customer, good luck trying to reach the warranty department or any live body when calling. I always have to select #2 for new customer inquiries to reach a representative. The warranty department has only responded to me by email. I have had multiple issues with the quality of the laminate and cabinet doors. You get a limited one year warranty on labor, after that customers are charged a $300.00 labor fee for each claim. The laminate on the doors and cabinets are peeling, cracking and chipping. Kitchen Magic use low quality laminate which leave customers stuck with having to pay their high service charges to repair or replace any laminate that's damaged. It would have been more cost effective to get my cabinets professionally painted than "laminate" them with poor quality materials which are falling apart after one year.

The entire project from the initial Salesman visit, the measurement and installation was perfect. The quality and craftsmanship of the material, knowledge and professionalism of the installer was above expectations. My overall experience was excellent with the entire Kitchen Magic Team.

Fantastic! Work was performed on schedule and was flawless. Installation of countertops and faucets was perfect, Installers were very professional and left the premises in pristine condition.

They had a deal going on. They were great. Everybody was an A. The sales person thru the customer support thru the people that showed up, and the product itself. Beautiful, beautiful job. I was surprised that it only took 2 days. They came in one day and they do measurements. It only took them 2 days to actually do the refacing. They cleaned every night when they left, it was beautiful. Also, I changed my mind on what I was gonna use for the knobs. They put some of them in and I said no I want the handles, and they actually had some in the truck. And then they had them mail me the rest for free. I know the handles had to cost more than the knobs but they didn't charge me any more. They did have to come back one more day, because of the change of the handles, they needed input from me on where I wanted the handles.

We had a very tight timeline on fixing our kitchen cabinets as our home is going on the market. I was clear in my request to Kitchen Magic that the work needed to be done before the end of April. (First contact via Angie's List was April 7th, so very tight timeline.) They responded fairly quickly on Angie's List and said somebody would call and make an appointment. I took this as it being likely they could get the work done. It wasn't until April 11th (5 days later, albeit 3 business days) that I finally got the call. The woman asked about the project scope, and it was becoming clear that the details I left in my message on Angie's List weren't passed on. Once I confirmed my details, they forwarded me to an "appointment confirmation department" - which was a red flag. You've got my contact info and my address and I've confirmed availability - but you need to send me to another department. Ugh. This guy's goal was to make sure both my wife and I are available during the "free, at home consultation". This is a super common tactic when the guy coming to see the work to be done is really primarily a sales guy whose goal is to get you to sign right then and there. If a spouse isn't around, the home owner can use that as an excuse to wait on signing. If you're both there, they can push hard to close the deal. I HATE that kind of baloney. If your product/service/prices are good, why do you fear letting a home owner discuss it later with their spouse? Or perhaps get competitive bids? Given the fact it was almost certain that they couldn't get the work done in time anyway, this high pressure sales tactic absolutely ensured I would never work with these people.

The salesman was friendly and knowledgable. Unfortunately I did not do my homework and I overpaid by a lot for the job. The work was completed in one day but they made a mistake on a part of the backsplash. I was told I would be contacted to replace it and I never was. When I called them, they were apologetic and finally sent out a tech to look at it. He explained that the backsplash would be ordered and that I would be contacted. Once again, I have not been contacted and I will have to chase them down again. Not only that but the countertop that I overpaid for now has a chip in it. I barely spend any time in the kitchen and the counters do not get abused. The fact that it is already chipping is upsetting especially because it was installed roughly six months ago. I did not buy top of the line but it still should have given me piece of mind for years to come and I could have gotten much better quality material for the same price if I had shopped around. The install, while done fairly well, certainly has some imperfections. I have used several contractors for other projects since and Kitchen Magic's attention to detail has been the worst. Find a contractor that takes pride in their work and charges a fair price. Kitchen Magic did not do either of those for me.

Not sure why you want me to rate receiving a corian cutting board from Kitchen magic

We were at a home show and ran into them. That is how we met them. I used them for two occasions. They are a cabinet re-facing-type contractor. We also had them do a smaller job on two bathrooms. The kitchen work was pretty good. The key to the experience with them was the individual carpenter who came to do the work and we had a very good one. The countertop work they subbed out. On the re-facing they give us solid wood, new cabinet doors and then they veneer the other surfaces. Overall we were very pleased. Since then, quite recently some of the veneer has separated from the underlying cabinets so I am less enamored with them than I was at first. But overall their carpenter who came was great and the countertop sub was excellent. So I think it was a pretty solid experience. They sent a guy to do the vanity tops and we were not happy with the quality of his work. It is satisfactory, but the joints where the backsplash meets are not well done. I would expect a carpenter to do a better job than that. There is supposedly a lifetime warranty on the work, but I have not taken advantage of it yet.

It was very good. Having a new kitchen is a pleasant experience. I have no complaints. I will use them again.

The cutting board works great. It's very lovely. We didn't do the remodel consultation because we wanted to spend our money on other things. They called us to ask what we wanted. They were professional and responsive. They cared about what we wanted.

They were good. They did an excellent job. It was a good deal. They also have a great selection of granite and marble so that's another great thing.

The salesperson was very informative, answering all questions and taking all the time I needed to review all product samples. Estimate seemed a bit high, despite a discount if you would commit to project during initial sales call. Was contacted by company about 6 months later to explore my interest in receiving a revised, lower quote.

They turned the estimate around to us in a timely manner. The estimate was detailed and clear. They employees I dealt with were professional. I did get another estimate and it was $10,000 higher. We are going to use their service for the remodel project.

It went very well. I was very happy with the service and they were quick, clean, and courteous.

we felt they were a little overpriced however it really is good quality and it has a lifetime warranty while you own the home, the workers were great they cleaned up thoroughly after theyre workday and took away all the debris every day. the kitchen was assembled and countertop was done perfectly very happy with results. the issue we have is with the bathroom we also bought a walk in shower surround and glass enclosure. this worked fine for a couple of months we called they sent a man to check things out he looked at the glass surround and said he thought it was a manufacturing problem as it doesnt close and if did your locked in.we were patient at first he said we would hear from them in a couple of weeks , no call . we started calling them always with the reply we'll call you later on with a reply so this has been going on for month same line every time we talked to supervisors and same reply now after spending 18000.00 I really feel we should be entitiled to a little more than we'll get back to you. We need some help in rendering this , meanwhile my bathroom gets soaked every day.

This company's representative appeared to be in one-track mode--their representaive walked into my kitchen (I live in a wood frame ca 1892 in a historic district of Davis Square, Somerville--so though definitely not modern, the house has been well cared for), and immediately declared it a disaster area. I had hoped to get someone who might offer a few ideas for what we might do with the space, which included the kitchen and the adjoining pantry which had a sink, dishwasher in it. It became obvious over the next ten minutes that he was only interested in selling cabinets and cabinet refacings, and that if our situation didn't fit into what he could sell, he was not interested. I ended the interview at 15 minutes. It was insulting, unprofessional. Interestingly, what makes me write this review is that about 2 weeks ago, I got a package in the mail, from this company. It was the Corian cutting board, together with a note that said due to a clerical error they had never sent it to me. True. They hadn't, and I had totally written them off. At least some portion of their office apparently felt like it should be responsible.

It went very well. We are still interested with going with Kitchen Magic but we haven't settled on a design for the countertop and backsplash. Once we settle on a design, we will contact the company.

My experience with him was very nice.

Nice guy, no follow up. Not very good business practice, if you are trying to sell a service.

I'm not sure why, in the response from Kitchen Magic, they emphasized in ALL CAPS and quot;Please note that no contract or work has taken place for this member.and quot; It was nice of them to point out again that no work took place. The reason no work took place is because we refused to hire them. I'm assuming by and quot;no contractand quot; they are referring to the contract their salesman wrote up for us, that we didn't sign. I guess if you decide not to agree to the contract they propose, the contract never existed. Whether or not they have and quot;literally hundreds of colorsand quot;, we were shown about 6 and told those were our only options for RTF doors. As far as offering a 15% discount only if you sign this non existent contract before the salesman walks out the door being a way for Kitchen Magic to save time and expense of additional necessary visits, how is this statement even LOGICAL? Why would it require any additional expense to them to allow us to talk privately as a family and call them the next morning with a decision? An additional visit? It's funny that this is the exact wording in the script used by their salesman. We could save 15% off their already inflated price ONLY if we signed immediately, because it would cost Kitchen Magic too much money to answer the phone the next day or open the mail to get our (nonexistent remember) signed contract. As far as their BLATANT misrepresentation of themselves as a Super Service Award Winner, why would somebody in Massachusetts care that in the past they (Let's just assume they didn't lie about this part.) won this award in a couple other states?! We are in MA! As far as whoever has been hired to respond to negative reviews saying they and quot;regret any confusionand quot;, there is absolutely NO confusion. It was clearly stated by your salesman as FACT with a visual representation in his binder. He, as a salesman for MA, flashed us an award with an Angie's List logo. The response by Kitchen Magic further confirms they 1) Do not make satisfying their customer their number one priority, 2) They will continue to attempt to lie to anyone who reads this review, and 3) They assume the people of MA are easily fooled into their dirty business practices. The company we ultimately hired (I will edit again if they would like me to mention them by name.) consisted of a family of three people. The owner, salesman, and installer are the same few people. The price was about half what Kitchen Magic wanted, for more options and a clear sense of who the customer was. The best part of the company we contracted with? The price wouldn't have gone up 15% if we decided to go have a coffee and talk before signing the contract. Anyone who considers this crooked company should first ask themselves why it's vital to sign the contract (if they admit they wrote one up) immediately? What purpose does that serve other than locking you into hiring them before you get a chance to do your homework? It's unfortunate that young people are taken advantage of by smooth talkers like these guys. Unfortunately for them, this time they attempted to pull the wool over the eyes of people who have been around for awhile and are willing to speak up against their deceptive practices. Kitchen Magic, this is where you ask the person you hired to respond to postings to add and quot; Scripted Post Band quot; - ( The script you use when your first response confirms everything the member said in her post.) Angie's List members- save yourselves some time and don't even call these people!

Presentation by sales rep was outstanding - by far the best of all the companies we interviewed. Work crew arrived on time and were a pleasure to work with. They even made suggestions to improve the job they were doing that involved little if no cost. The job was finished on time and we have nothing but great things to say about them. Yes, you can get your kitchen redone for less with Home Depot or Sears but I have no regrets. You get what you pay for.

We did not use Kitchen Magic at all. We had an estimate for the kitchen based on the promotion from Angie's List. The person who came to do the estimate did not bring the cutting board which we paid a nominal fee for. The most satisfaction I had was in dealing with the main office. The office person sent us a nice corian cutting board. So we were happy. We still have not updated our kitchen due to a change in our priorities.

Nothing to tell. They did not provide any service.

TBD coupon/voucher was about to expire and rather than cancel for a refund I contacted the merchant and requested an extention to which they kindly agreed. We set up a tentative, initial meeting but predictably my unpredictable schedule changed. I contacted the vendor to request a reschedule fulling planning to do so; I purchased TBD for a reason. That's when the unending, unidentified calls began.... Since our orignial contact I have received at least 200 hang-up- calls from unidentified caller. Using a reverse call website, www.1800Noteswho'scalling , I was able to procure information about the owner of the number who is Kitchen Magic w/calls originating from a call center. I read about many identical complaints from other potential customers who willingly submitted their phone number to KM unwittingly initiating unending hang-up calls from same number. Not only are these calls intrusive and annoying, the vendor may not be aware that all calls ,including hang-ups, use 1 of the 50 allotted slots provided by voice mail. If they want my business there is a better way to go about it: Leave a message then wait for a return call. Or ask for an email address which is provided by Angie's List when purchasing a Big Deal. At this point I'm willing to relinquish the $19.99 pre-paid voucher (ostensibly for a cutting board) rather than do business with this type of high-pressure sales orgaization. Ironiocally, my review is about one of the very few AL,TBD vendors who return calls in a timely mannor (smiling).
