I first used Giombetti about 8 years ago when I bought my current house which is close to 100 years old, and I needed to have the knob and tube wiring abated. They were consummate professionals that worked efficiently, and I've used them since then for various projects, but I never left a comment. I just hired them, again, to install a transfer switch, so that when the power goes out, we can safely attach a generator. They installed it quickly, and it has performed flawlessly. They are friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and efficient. They enjoyed hearing and answering all of my questions, and I truly enjoy having them do my electrical work. I recommend them, and I plan to hire them whenever I need electrical work.

Unfortunately it was on the weekend, so I had no choice but to find someone who could be available to work with national grid. Someone came from this company, but didn't do anything except watch the national grid team do all the work. Only when I walked over he started to pick a shovel and pretend that he was working, When he realized that this was a vehicle collision that caused the damage, he gave me a very inflated price for the work, infarct he even made a remark that why do you care what the price is the insurance company will pay for it. He ended up charging me $1396.37 for a few hours of work, when I informed him that I did not received full payment from the insurance company, and asked them if they could re-evaluate the price, they did not accept that option, instead they took me to a small claims court. When i checked on their work the following day, there was loose wires, and parts left behind in my yard. I found this company to be entrusting, unethical and their workmanship very average. I would avoid doing business with this company in the future, hopefully you will as well. Best Regards

The switch on my very old range hood was broken. I asked for an estimate on replacing the switch, and Giombetti advised me to replace the whole range hood. I bought a very good one online, and it was not expensive. They installed it in under an hour and disposed of the old hood for me. The new hood looks and works great.

Excellent company. Professionals, all the way. They did a commercial renovation with my company which was done very well. They also were prompt with service calls and thorough with their work. They were even used by several employees for personal/residential work and the feedback was outstanding, all the time. I absolutely recommend them.

I called in to Giombetti to ask for a bid to upgrade my electrical service and first left a message(with some details) with the receptionist. A salesperson called me back relatively quickly and quoted a price of $2100 over the phone, but said the would need to come out tot he house to confirm the difficulty of the work. We scheduled a time within the next week and was pleasantly surprised - they actually dropped the price by $150 after seeing it. I was so happy - because even at $2100 - they would have been the best choice. As I recall, my other quotes ranged from about $2500-$3500. The guys showed up, as promised, at 7:30am and began working right away....they stayed until about 6pm when they finished. They disconnected and removed the 100amp service, including the breaker box, the meter box and the line up to the line coming in off of the street. Then installed a new 200amp box, meter box (reusing the old meter) and installed plastic (2" or so) conduit to run the electric up to the line from the pole. Then they installed a couple of rods into the ground outside that was apparently part of the ground. They ran another ground wire to the incoming water line as well. They left the basement cleaner than they found it. I would highly recommend them.

Steve was very prompt in coming by to provide a free estimate for the work done, and even fixed the electrical ground for me free of charge during the estimate. He then came back a second time when I decided to add a few items to the work to give me a more accurate estimate. He sent a team of 2 electricians (one clearly the lead electrician and another who put in the GFCI outlets) who were efficient, courteous, and cleaned up fairly well. The lead electrician was very knowledgeable and able to answer a few questions I had during the process. The only issue was that they did not have enough spackle to fully seal a couple of holes that needed to be put in the walls for the smoke detector, but that is a minor non-electrical issue. Their pricing seemed fair and they were able to schedule the job on very short notice. Overall very pleased with the work and would hire again.

They sent manager to do estimate and price was lower than other bids by 12%. He explained clearly what had to be done and why. As scheduled, two very pleasant experienced men came to do the work which took 2 Days. They cleaned up afterward. Inspection went off w/o a hitch.

The price quoted was actually the lowest of the four companies we requested bids from. They arrived slightly earlier than the scheduled time (8:00 AM) and worked straight through without any breaks until the job was completed at 4:30 PM. One guy concentrated on the outside work while the other guy worked on the inside. They were very courteous and professional, and both did an outstanding job. All the work was very neat and very well done, and all the debris was cleaned up before they left. We highly recommend this company and would definitely hire them for any electrical work that we need done in the future.

Professional work, knew what they were doing. Skilled workmanship. Responsive. There is no price transparency. Once we received the bill and saw the extra $$ we were told by the manager that they charge for gas and transportation charges. Need to be upfront about their charges. Overall quality of the work itself is good.

We were very concerned that because the house was older (built in 1920) Giombetti would be forced to knock large holes in the walls in order to complete the wiring, which can be a problem both in repairing the holes, but also in all the dust that would be created from the old horsehair walls. After the first few days of work, we expected to find large gashes in every room in the house, and were pleasantly surprised to find only small holes, often behind radiators and other areas that were not easily visible. They were clearly VERY careful to do as minimal amount of damage as possible. They also had electricians on the job who were obviously familiar with older homes and new all the tricks to get around wiring challenges. We had a painter walk through for an estimate about half way through the job, and even he commented: "Boy, I've seen some butchers do this kind of work - they are doing a really great job!" Throughout the project our project manager Steve kept us well informed and promptly alerted us to any roadblocks they encountered. I never had a chance to feel any anxiety or worry about how the project was progressing. And they even came in under estimate. When we are ready to do some expansions on our home, we will not use any other electrician except Giombetti.

Responded to our e-mail inquiry regarding an on-site estimate by phone and e-mail.Arrived for the estimate on time and displayed professionalism and knowledge of requested services.Provided an electronic and written estimate of work requested.Scheduled work and arrived early to do the job.After town inspection, returned to our home to correct the GFI outlet requested by inspector.We ordered our own generator and it worked nicely with the power inlet box in garage.

Giombetti's was a pleasure to work with. From the owner, to Caren , his office person to the electricians and plummers. It's such a rare treat to have things done on time and done right.

The installation started uneventfully and went well but it took longer to get the sub contractors back for gas plumbing. As a result of that delay and a early winter snow storm, we lost power for the weekend but my new generator didn't function because it was not yet inspected by the plumbing inspector. Of course, as he arrived, power went back on and the generator was not called into service since. Now that I have one I can assure you that there will be no more power outages in N.E. for many years to come. smile.

Mike Giombetti provided a detailed cost estimate, his electricians showed up on time and finished the work in less than 3 hours, all at half the price of some other quotes I got. Highly recommended!

They repaired what they could without getting into a bigger expense, and will provide a quote for additional service needed. I appreciated this approach to solving a problem. They came when they said they would and worked efficiently to get things done. I will definitely be using them again for any electrical repairs.
