Description of Work: Giombetti Electric did a fantastic job installing a transfer switch for a portable generator. They promptly scheduled a visit and turned around a very competitive written quote. They completed the job exactly as I sketched out the breaker layout since I couldn't be there for the install. I especially appreciated how they kept me informed during a manufacturer back order and how they handled the building inspector (inspection was an automatic for them, unlike other electricians who would pull permits if I really wanted for additional cost). I will definitely contact them for my future electrical needs.

Description of Work: Replaced clothes dryer cord, plug, and outlet that had shorted and tripped CB and charred outlet& plug. (Cautionary note to cat owners: do not have any shelving next to dryers (or any appliance) that would allow the little rascals to knock a detergent bottle off the shelf and onto the cord where it enters the back of the dryer... causing a short when the cord was sliced by the metal around the cord opening helped by the weight of the heavy full bottle.) After that was promptly and professionally replaced, in such short order, ( i wish I could remember his name), I asked if he could peek at a problemmatic ceiling fan & light switch while he was still here... (and especially since the little rascals were already confined to another part of the house.) No problem, he replied, and before I could even ask when he could come back to fix it, he had identified a sloppy worn switch, and replaced it! I was so pleased to unexpectantly get my fan working before the warm weather ! He was polite, personable, and explained what needed to be done in a clear and concise manner. All that, plus they had sent him almost immediately! I thought the total cost which included all the outlet, cord and switch was very reasonable! I will certainly be using Giombetti again for all future electrical work! I should, of course, mentioned that this was my first review as a new Angie List Member, and of course, got this referral from the List! I had not even known that this great customer-service-focused electrican services company existed locally, prior to seeing the List. I recommend both Giombetti Electric Inc. and Angie's List highly!

Description of Work: Just purchased a home in January. Half the wiring is aluminum. Giombetti Electric is one of four authorized contractors in MA to perform the Copalum crimping using Tyco Electronics crimping device. They give me the best estimate of the two contractors I called. They were able to schedule the work in my house between my closing and my move-in date (a week apart) which was already very good. The electricians working in my house were very thorough going from the attic to the basement and garage, not letting any outlets unchecked. They even came back for a connection box that I found subsequently in a closet. They replaced all my switches and outlets, including GFIs.
