Without a doubt the worst professional experience of our lives. Project took 3+ months to complete. We were quoted 4 weeks, then he said lets schedule it for 5 "to be safe" and then the contract he wrote up actually put in 6 weeks. In the 13 weeks of "work", he or at least one member of his crew showed up fewer than half the business days, usually just 1-2 people. This had nothing to do with the project and everything to do with mismanagement and overbooking. We stopped tracking the lies and broken promises after 3 weeks because it became too exhausting. We've twice had subcontractors come to our house since work was completed to talk to us because he refuses to pay them (ironically, one of the subcontractors was one of the few work teams to be decent). We left our info with the subcontractors' lawyers and have given statements and promises that we will fully cooperate if needed. This prompted us to reach out to our own lawyer and prep in case we ran into trouble (thankfully not, which is why I'm finally posting this). The work itself just OK. We're relatively happy, but we are now getting quotes to fix a number of dodgy issues. Very poorly done corners. Did not put moulding under one roof line. Failed to put leaf guards in some of the gutters. Gutters already sagging. Having massive ice dam issues this winter for the first time EVER (even the much worse apoloypse winter 2 years ago we had no ice dams), Downspouts crooked. Did not arrange seams as requested. Damaged brand new ($8,000) patio door and new steel bulkhead door. Trampled virtually every landscaping plant. Left garbage everywhere. Did not clean *at all* until the very end. Left tons of debris in neighbor's yard. Ripped every screen (literally every one). Still finding nails on the ground. Had to have one section redone because they did not space the siding as we indicated on our contract and it looked terrible. Another note: did not follow legal requirements for safe removal of lead paint, despite the fact that he made a big deal of this when quoting the price. We have reported this to the MA EPA and shared the photos and videos of the work (after he didn't show up on our contracted start date without letting us know, then became aggressive when questions, I became worried we were in for a legal fight, so I literally documented the entire project with hundreds of photos and dozens of videos of the work, plus video security footage). I could go on, but I've been much happier since getting this garbage behind us and I hope to never see or hear from this place ever again. I've never been so angry at another human being for being so unprofessional, unreliable, and dishonest. For now we are not going forward with legal action, but we have a very hefty file with hundreds of photos and documentation of broken promises, breaches of contract, and other shenanigans. If we have more problems or ever hear from this person again we'll probably go for it. I would not only say avoid this place, but perhaps avoid James Hardie altogether. They referred me to him. It's also not cheaper than doing a much nicer job with cedar and ceramic-like paint, esp if you scour a local lumberyard and wait for a decent sale.

Everything started out fine, the written estimate was very thorough, price competetive with the other contractors, lots of communication about what I wanted and what was expected. I asked when the contract was presented if they would work until the job was finished and not leave to start another job. I was promised, twice, that that was not the way they worked. The work was started on 10/14/15 as promised and was supposed to end on 10/31/15 according to the contract. For the first 2 weeks, 2 workers worked on the house, and it was quickly apparent that the estimated time frame of the job was not going to happen. Initially it was not a big deal because the now 3 men who were working on the house were doing a nice job. The week of 11/9 there was no work done, but the following two Saturdays they finished up the job. They had started another project. On 11/24 Leo came by and said that is crew would be by the next day to replace the exhaust vent, the front lights and finish up odds and ends and said that the gutters would be replaced on 11/27. No one showed up either day. On 12/2 I asked Leo about all the work left, especially the gutters, windows and doors and was told that he was picking up the windows on Wednesday and they would be here on Thursday to install them. On Thursday 12/3 Leo showed up after dark to clean up debris, and when I went out to speak with him, he told me that the shutters and lights would be replaced on 12/4 and the gutters would be installed on either 12/5 or 12/6. I asked again about the windows and doors and he said there was a problem getting the windows (the same windows he told me the day before that he was picking up) and that it would be a few more weeks. Since the windows and the storm doors were not part of the contract price I asked him to finish the lights and gutters, and I would have someone else take care of the doors and windows because I felt like I was constantly being put off. The gutters were finally installed on 12/8 with an end cap missing, which was finally put on on 12/22. As I stated earlier the work that was done was very well done and I am happy with the result BUT, the fact that the job was almost 2 months past the finish date that Leo specified on the contract, as well as the constantly being given dates that work would be done that were false, made the whole experience very aggravating.

First, let me start by saying that Leo and his crew are fantastic. My wife and are bought our house knowing that the cedar shingle siding would needed to be replaced within 2 years. We gathered quotes from multiple contractors for various types of siding including new cedar shingles, wood lap, vinyl, and cement board (Hardie Plank). Leo gave us quotes for both vinyl and for Hardie Plank and within each material gave us three options for each. He did not push us towards one product over the other, or towards 1 of the 3 options within each material either. The choice was totally up to us. After seeing the relatively small extra price for Hardie over vinyl, we opted for the Hardie Plank due to the look, durability, and low maintenance. We drove around to 2-3 other jobs that Leo had done and talked to those owners who loved the Hardie product and the work Leo did. In terms of price, Leo's quote was definitely not the cheapest, but it also was not the most expensive. One concern that we had was that Leo is not considered a James Hardie "preferred contractor." After calling the James Hardie company directly, I learned that "preferred contractors" are only allowed to install Hardie Plank. So since Leo also installs vinyl, the James Hardie company won't give him the "preferred contractor" designation. Don't worry about this! Leo has done many jobs installing Hardie Plank. Check his references. I can tell you that the quality of his work is outstanding. Leo described the entire process in complete detail, so that we felt very comfortable moving forward. The tear-off of our existing siding took longer than anticipated because there were actually 2 layers, instead of just the outer layer that was visible. Total time from start to finish was just under 4 weeks. After the 1st week of his crew installing the new siding, my wife and I were comfortable enough to go out of town for 4 days and let them continue working. We were not disappointed with the results. You can tell that Leo and his crew are well trained and install the siding based on the guidelines of James Hardie so that the 30 year warranty stays intact. The attention to detail is amazing, right down to each seam being carefully sealed. If I had to nitpick, I would say that Leo could improve the communication a little bit. Being a new homeowner, I was nervous with such a large and expensive project, so I wanted frequent updates. It was often me calling Leo to find out how things went that day, rather than him calling me. Maybe this is an unreasonable expectation on my part, but again, I'm a new and young homeowner that wanted to stay on top of this project. After being on site supervising for the first few days, Leo did not need to come out every day. His crew knows what they are doing. Leo would periodically check in during the week to see how progress was coming along. You can tell that he takes pride in his work too because one of the flashings was installed incorrectly (something I would not have noticed - but Leo did) so he had one of his workers remove and reinstall it correctly. It's this attention to detail that tells me I made the correct choice with Leo. The project and price quoted by Leo also included new gutters with leaf guards. We are happy we made this choice as well since getting the staging out to the house for the siding made doing the gutters at the same time a no-brainer. Some minor issues came up during the install, but Leo handled them like a professional. One of his workers accidentally cracked the glass on my electric meter. Leo brought this to my attention immediately, whereas he could have tried to hide it. He had someone come out a few days later to repair it completely and at no cost to me. Leo also coordinated with the cable company to have my cable tucked in behind the siding he was installing so that it was as minimally visible as possible. It was these types of small details that show what a professional Leo is. Bottom line is that I would highly recommend Leo and his crew for your siding needs. I would definitely hire him again. It's been about 9 months since the project was completed in September 2014 (I was slow to add the review to Angie's List) and we LOVE the new siding.

Fantastic! Very thoroughly walked the property with me and then prepared the most thorough estimate I've ever seen (and I'm in the construction industry). He had done thorough research on the specific product I asked him to match and provided 3 different pricing options for my consideration. Leo was very polite, professional and knowledgable about the work being estimated.

I just can't believe how awesome this experience was - if I could give A+++s in every category, I would. We hired a driveway contractor (yes, from Angie's List) to patch a couple of areas in our driveway. It didn't go well, and we had to have them back to try again. When we came home after the second try, we discovered that the repair crew had somehow melted a big section of our vinyl siding on 2 walls that border the driveway. We are selling our house, and the Buyers understandably wanted that issue repaired - sp we were on a relatively short timeline. We tried contacting two vinyl siding vendors, with no luck - one was solidly booked and the other never responded. So I searched the List again, and found Advanced Remodeling and Renovation. I sent an email to Leo yesterday morning, and he called me just a few hours later. He personally stopped by the house later that same afternoon, and came up with a brilliant idea of how to patch the vinyl without having a noticeably different color - he suggested that we take material from one of our shed walls, use that for the patch, and then replace it on the shed wall (which wouldn't show any color differential at all). Then, Leo said that he'd try to get a crew here today and do the repair, as long as he could get material. Leo was awesome - so easy to talk to, made sure that I understood everything he was planning, and then had a quote in our hands that evening. Long story short, he pulled it off, the job was completed today, and it looks FANTASTIC! You'd never know that we had an issue at all. The crew was outstanding - they did an amazing job and were polite, cleaned everything up, and delivered fantastic results. Also, Leo asked if there was anything else they could help me with and I asked them to install some new flood lights that were too high up for us to reach - and they did that too. I just can't say enough good things about Leo, his company, and their performance. I would DEFINITELY use them again and HIGHLY recommend them!!

They showed up on time, were professional, and then never provided me a quote, even after calling them 3 separate times. Someone was always going to get right back to me or emailed it already and they must of sent it to the wrong address. Extremely frustrating

They're pretty accommodating. I would use them again in the future.

We have been very happy with the process so far. Leo has been great to meet with, taking the time to understand our needs and answer all of our questions. Our neighbors are also impressed with his professionalism after receiving his courtesy communication regarding our planned work. The job is scheduled for July and we look forward to a continued positive experience with Leo and his team.

So far working with Advanced has been great! Leo came out to our house twice to go over the proposal and answer any questions we had. They've been very professional and comprehensive. Work is scheduled to start right after labor day, so I will update with more then!

They were fine. They did everything I wanted and what they said they would.

All went smoothly. Contractor easily set an appt with confirmation and timely arrival and completion.

Leo arrived promptly for our initial consultation. I found him to be very pleasant, low-pressure, and constructive. We initially planned to replace our old aluminum siding with Hardie plank. We also discussed some add-on jobs, including replacing an exterior door, insulating walls, and venting a bathroom fan. He followed up with an estimate, which beat another contractor. Some highlights: --He gave me a few addresses of Hardie plank homes that he had done and I visited those. Work looked great. --Leo met me at Pella store on Rt. 9 to choose exterior door. Very easy. --His dumpster subcontractor was careful about placing the dumpster exactly where we wanted it in a tight space. --Demolition was relatively painless, although it revealed some problems created by a (defunct) window installation firm a decade ago. Leo had good ideas to fix this, and he did not pass cost along to me. --We've had a lot of rain this month which interrupted work. Leo was good about keeping me up-to-date on progress, and making sure home was wrapped before a big storm. --Hardieplank went on smoothly. I am pretty obsessive about avoiding dings, etc., and I can genuinely say that the crew was careful. Very neat blocks and cuts for lights, vents, faucets, electrical box, etc. Subsequent caulking and touch-ups looked good also. --I liked his crew a lot. They are very hard workers when they are on site, and a few seem to have been with Leo for a number of years. It was a calm and respectful work site. Leo was on site a lot of the time, and also worked. --They were really good about cleaning the site at the end of the day, and sweeping for nails when the job was done. Overall, a very positive experience, and a good value. We plan to hire him for additional work in the future.

It took multiple attempts to get scheduled with this vendor. Once I was able to schedule an appt, I waited for Leonardo for a couple of hours. When I called, I was told I had the wrong day on my calendar. When he finally did get here to give me an estimate, we went over several small projects: installing a new microwave, fixing a door frame, realigning and replacing some gutters. When I received the quote it was priced out by dollar amount for each job. Since the Deal was for 4 hours, I asked him to rework it in terms of hours per job so I'd have a better idea of what I was getting into. After not hearing back for a month, I requested it again. He claimed it had been emailed, but I never received it (and I check my junk mail regularly). Haven't heard from him since. Leonardo seemed respectful, professional and capable in person. But, the lack of communication and follow thru indicates otherwise...and, I'm out $149.

The work was well done and we have been happy with the workmanship. The only problem was that the response time was poor - he didn't return phone calls in a timely way and it took a number of attempts to get the work started.

They were trustworthy and reliable. They were on time too. I will use them again in the future if I need to.

Advanced Remodeling and Renovation has been a wonderful team to work with start to finish. Leo is very patient and attentive giving each interaction a personal touch. He personally reviewed each step of the work and ensured we were satisfied with our results. He was very easy to work with and knowledgable about the products he used. His team was respectful, professional and pleasant. They are almost finished and I am very pleased with the results. Timing was excellent even with a bit of rain. Would gladly do business with him in the future - Highly recommend A+++

So far, Leo has been great. He responded quickly to our first request for info, and came out to review our upcoming siding project in detail. He has been very thorough- even coming back to review Advanced's very comprehensive estimate with us in person. Advanced will be performing the work on our place- June start date, so I'll update my review once the work is underway!

Initial response was timely and got work done quickly but never followed up to do finish work as promised.

Leonardo came to give a quote on a load bearing wall we want to remove, but we never received it. He seemed nice enough, but he wasted our time by asking a lot of strange personal questions that didn't pertain to the project. He said he would get a quote to us by the end of the next week and never did. I contacted him about it, and he said he needed more time, and that we would have it by the second week. The second week came and still didn't have a quote from him. Never delivered the quote as promised, and haven't heard from him since. If you don't want the job, just be honest so we don't waste our time waiting for your quote!

I called Advanced Remodeling based on a great rating on Angie's List. The work they did was excellent. The only concern I had was punctuality. When I made the appointment originally they were supposed to come by Monday morning. They didn't actually come until Wednesday morning. But there were some scheduling conflicts. They were very good about keeping in contact and when they were here their work was excellent. They stayed focused, were professional the entire time and were very polite. I'm very pleased with the results.

We recently did a major renovation of our kitchen. It was a big job, with a wall that was moved, new cabinets, reworking some of the plumbing, new appliances, and fresh paint. Leo helped us through every stage of the project. He helped us find vendors that are high quality, but not overpriced. We have 3 children, so the prospect of living through a kitchen project was daunting. Leo worked with us to create a timeline, so we could plan to have the children out of town during the major phases of the work. The work was done on schedule, so we could move them back in as planned. The work is of extremely high quality. Leo stands by his work, and has been extremely responsive with the few inevitable things that have come up since the completion of the project. We live in an old house, but the brand new kitchen blends seamlessly with the character of the house. .

Im happy with all phases of the job, from estimate to completion. The person that came out the house to gather information for the estimate (Leo), was very professional and provided a lot information about work that they do and why. All workes were professional. They did great cleaning up after the job was complete. I was completely satisfied. For all this reason i decide after the roof job give to this company the project to replace the whole siding in my house and again they did a great job. I do recomend this company and i will use again if i need.

A handyman came initially who was not skilled enough to tackle the repair work on the wall. He called his boss who needed to come back another two times to evaluate and then do the job. Once done the job was fine. He completed all the steps necessary.

He is very competent, skilled and good at communication. He is easy and good to work with. He is also fair priced. I would use him a gain at any time!

I purchased a Big Deal coupon and was unable to connect with the company before it expired (Leonardo did work hard to reach me, but we never managed to connect). I tried reaching them recently to see if they would still honor the coupon, but never heard back.
