Description of Work: As a new homeowner, Mike was very helpful at explaining how to care for my lawn and things to be concerned about. He went over all the services me offers in detail. Promptly sent me an email with all services we talked about (now and future). So far they have done a spring clean up which included a LOT of leaves since it was unoccupied for awhile. They did an excellent job and my lawn and beds are so clean. I will definitely be going back to them for future lawn care.

Description of Work: This is the second year I used A AND L LAWNCARE but I'm ready to give someone else a try. They do good work. Last year I had them just do mowing, this year I added a spring cleanup and lawn care. The cleanup was fine, the lawn always looks good after it's mowed. The initial treatment made the lawn come to life and look better in the spring than in years past. | |This is the second year I've felt they've squeezed in an extra mowing after the grass has stopped growing. I hate being "nickel and dimed". | |Even though we were supposed to be on a once every 14 day schedule, many times it was more than 14 days and one time it went nearly a month without being mowed. | |Also, a small hole developed in the front yard where a tree was removed many years ago (before we bought the house in 2008) and the remaining bits of stump and roots rotted out. They offered to fill it in and I said ok, but they never did it and I never saw a quote for the work.

Description of Work: I bought a new house and gave them a call to look into some landscaping I needed to get done. They did quite a bit or cleanup on my new house and did a great job and were reasonably priced. After that I used them to cut my lawn a few times over the course of the summer which they did promptly. I would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: They did a fall cleanup in April. They did a very good job considering that all the leave from the fall were wet and nasty, I will use them in the fall to clean up. All the men were nice and personable. |They took most of the day to clean the yard of 99.9% of all the fall and winter stuff.

Description of Work: I had reached out to A&L to see if they could provide plowing and lawncare services for my in-laws. They were very responsive and understanding of the type of service I was looking for. Because of the type of driveway my in-laws had - A&L was not able to do the plowing but he gave me the name of someone who could help us. This individual has been fantastic as well. I really appreciated how quickly they got back to me and even though they were not able to provide the snow removal service the fact that the referred me to a trusted partner was so helpful. I will definitely be using them in the spring/summer for the lawncare service.

Description of Work: A & L cleaned up our front and back yards. The area was a mess with leaves and weeds. They did a great job with the clean up and also did some edging and cleaned up the walk way. We also had a tree that somehow split down the middle. They taped and roped it hoping that it will survive. So far so good. They also had to dig a huge root that was growing up through my lilac bush. Michael's quote was the lowest and was exactly the price I paid him. He was prompt, friendly and professional. I have recommended him to friends and we will use him in the Spring.

Description of Work: Spring clean-up. Removal of all fall and winter debris; preparation of yard with weed and poison ivy killer; purchase, deliver and spread mulch. Also, decreased the size of a driveway circle.

+ -1 moreThis was the second time we had hired Michael Sienkivicz (A & L Lawncare), for different garden tasks. On April 20, 2010, he and his assistant cleared a 5' x 80' tangled, thorny, brushy area along the edge of our backyard which borders a thick wooded area. Hundreds of plants and thick ropey vines grew along the ground and up into the trees. On the April job and on the May job, he presented a written estimate before beginning. He asked us to walk the areas with him to be sure he knew what we wanted, and when he was finished, he asked us again to check on the work to see if it was what we expected. He came with the tools he needed, was organized and efficient, and communicated with us in a friendly, but professional manner. He was knowledgeable about the plants and planting, mixed soil carefully, made sure plants were not rootbound, and placed the plants exactly where we wanted them. He did suggest a change in our plan when he thought the plant would grow better in a another space; however, he always asked us before doing anything different from what we had agreed upon. They worked until the project was complete, without a break...and this was on a cold and rainy day. I was very pleased with the work and plan to hire this company for a future project.
Description of Work: The owner and his assistant performed several tasks including digging 10 large holes for planting large Forsythia bushes, removing sod to enlarge and reshape another big flower bed, and removing entrenched weeds from extremely hard and rocky soil in a 5' x 65' terraced garden bed.

After playing phone tag for a few days he came to see us in person and we set up a plan for snow removal and yard clean up. We could not be happier with the quality of the service we received or the price we paid. The snow removal was done perfectly and in a timely manner, the yard was also done expertly. We will continue to use A & L Lawncare and recommend them highly.
Description of Work: Our side yard was clean of all the leaves and debris and our driveway was plowed after the first big storm of this winter.
