The men showed up within the expected time frame and set about to very expertly remove and replace the old water heater. They were fast, professional and friendly. We will definitely hire them again for future plumbing issues.

We had no hot water. They were the only plumbing company that could figure out the issue and fix it. They are on time, organized, and during my services I have been very pleased.

Very well, good work. Fast answer to calls (rare around here). Prices are a little inconsistent, sometimes good, sometimes too high.

Called in the late afternoon and they were able to get Jeremy out the following day. He worked quickly and cleaned up the area when he was finished. He was courteous and professional, and he even let my four year-old son "help" with the repairs. I've used these guys a few times now and have always been very happy with their service.

They could have turned the heating system completely back on, I figured out that one valve wasn't opened back up. They have good customer service.

They are very expensive. I probably would not use them in again. Their hourly rate of $100 an hour is absurd. He did the work. The cleanup was the best after he was done. They were there for two hours.

We had a broken pipe flooding our basement around 4 p.m. on the night before Thanksgiving. Called Scott and asked if he could help us and he came right out. He showed up about 30 minutes after we spoke on the phone. He drained the lines of our heating system, repaired the broken pipe and then re-filled the heating system and got the boiler going again only to realize there was a second leak further up the line on the same pipe. So he drained the system a second time, repaired the second leak and again re-filled the system and got the boiler up and running. Scott was at the house approximately 1.5 hours, worked quickly and didn't beat us up on the price. Will definitely be using him again.

The service was quick, pleasant and very professional. Jeremy was thorough and explained everything included how remaining flow restrictions could be improved. We would definitely use again and recommend to others.

The plumber came prepared and completed the work efficiently. I have had at least 6 other plumbers at my home trying to eliminate air hammer banging caused by a high eff washer & he was the first able to fix the problem. Milne was recommended to me & I highly recommend them to others.

The tech arrived on time. He was very pleasant, respectful and professional. He had the work done in a few minutes but did not complain that it was too small a job. A tubing was too long and was producing a vacuum that in turn induced a leak. He cut it to the appropriate length and made sure that the toilet was not leaking anymore.

I know this has taken more time than it should but I wanted to get a review up for Scott and his company. I had an OLD oil fired steam boiler in my house and had decided to update the boiler and change over th NG. Scott was the first person I called. The person in the office took my call and Scott got back to me the same day. We set up an appt and he was in the driveway on time, actually waiting for me. He walked through the house, took a look at the system. He was the ONLY professional who asked me for dimensions on my convectors and came back with an EDR calculation (I need to point that out, since a majority of heating professionals skip that step and it's super critical to properly sizing the replacement unit, as I have found out). His estimate was reasonable. I just chose to go with another contractor, but I did have the opportunity to look at the install they did in my neighbors house and it was super. All Ward fittings, double risers to a drop header, a steam person's dream. After seeing all that, I was very impressed with the workmanship! I have three times used Milne for Emergencies and they were quick and responsive without soaking me on price. I have used Milne atleast a half dozen other times for plumbing and gas related issues. I have also used them at my business for commercial items. I really can't think of a bad thing to say about them.

We had a pipe connection in our basement spring a leak several months ago, and spray hot water all over our basement. The plumber we called at the time (a different plumber) essentially just patched it. Four months later, it sprung a new leak...BUT I had just joined Angie's List! I first tried the plumber we used previously...but I didn't hear back quickly...so I went looking on Angie's List and found Milne Plumbing. I called their line, which gave instructions on paging Scott for an emergency. I called the page line, and less than a minute later Scott Milne called me back. We are only one town away, and he was able to arrive only half an hour later. Scott was professional and clearly knew what he was doing. Half an hour after he arrived, the leak was fixed. The work was done cleanly and expertly. We asked him back to pro-actively fix some other potential trouble spots. Due to weather and work constraints we had to reschedule a couple of times, but nothing ever got mixed up or misplaced in communication (as so often happens). For the second visit, Scott's employee was also 100% on time, and completed the work efficiently and well. It looks like we finally found a good plumber.

Jeremy was the tech who did all of th water. Excellent worker. Showed up on time, quality work, worked fast, cleanup afterwords. Our family has used them for many years. Scott is a true professional. His prices are fair and the work is always first rate. Uses quality parts. Never a worry with them. Even has a great oil burn specialist on staff. Have recommened them to many friends and neighbors.

Replaced a cheap needle water feed value that original builder installed on a furnace humidifier with a real ball value. He was right on time, had all parts he needed in his truck. Very pleasant to talk with. Very knowledgeable, and took him just under an hour from start to finish including cleanup with a professional looking installation. Will be using them again on some additional plumbing installations.

We?ve used Milne for a few emergency situations and to replace a toilet and vanity in a half bath. I really enjoy working with them. Last fall I found a leak at our sewer line. I called Milne at 9am and explained what was happening. Scott was at our house within a half hour. He got on his phone and called two additional contractors (Dash Drains - clean pipe out & Jeffery's Creek - excavation work. Both were excellent as well). Everything was fix, cleaned and running again within 6 hours. All of our experiences with Milne have been on time, reasonably priced with top-quality results! They are friendly (especially with the kids), professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.

We have been using Milne Plumbing for years. Our most recent experience was terrific as usual. Arrived on time and performed work with a minimum of disruption. They recommended a higher seat toilet with 1.28 GPF. Highly recommended for comfort. Milne has in the past replaced our hot water heater, boiler and other plumbing services. Highly recomended.

It was great. A plumber came right at the scheduled time and got right to work replacing the shower head that he quickly (and correctly) diagnosed as the source of the leak. Soon after he got there the owner came by to meet me and he was very nice and we went over a couple of things I was concerned about. I had an outside faucet setup a few years ago and I wasn't sure if it was put in correctly but he assured me that it was and that only the actual faucet needed to be replaced. After the owner left I mentioned to the plumber that his boss was very nice and was told that the boss, Mr. Milne, always liked to come and meet any new customers. The bill came in the mail a couple of days later and it was lower than I thought it would be which is always good. My dog liked the plumber and the owner very much and she is always a good judge of character.

They've been excellent at responding thus far and I'm satisfied. My neighbor is also very impressed with their work. They did a very thorough job researching my house to decide what kind of boiler we would need. The other companies did not do that at all. If I contact them they get back to me within a day.

They have been to my house MANY times. They are quick and reliable. After my basement was flooded they had a guy come out at 7AM on a Saturday (14" of water in a 800sf basement). They guy was knowledgeable and very upfront with me about pricing. He advised me how it would be best to get my basement back to normal without having to pay the emergency rates. After that they have done many jobs at my house. The pricing is VERY reasonable for a plumber and they always show up when they say they will. I honestly haven't had a problem with them and have recommended them to my entire family (do work for my parents, etc). GREAT job!
