Although I had to wait several months for a callback (all calls go straight to voicemail), they arrived on time and were very professional and fixed the problem with the gas fireplace ignition quickly.

A short time after I contacted them they reached out to me to set up a service call. I had provided them the information on the fireplace mfg type before they came. The service person diagnosed and fixed the unit during the visit. He also cleaned the fireplace unit. I am happy with the work. This would be a five star review but it was a bit expensive. $295 for the visit and an additional $200+ for the parts and service work. There was no invoice. We paid premium for getting this back up and running quickly and they delivered on this.

The Fireplace Guy technician was outstanding: punctual, very thorough, efficient, polite, and competent; a great experience. I highly recommend this company to maintain your gas fireplace.

Prompt, professional, but very pricey

Didn’t use. They wanted $295 just for the service call. Extra beyond that. Fortunately, I asked friends for some advice, went online, and learned how to fix problem myself at no cost.

Looks and works great again. I did not get a bill of sale listing the work and parts replaced. Every penny counts at tax time :) Excellent repair technician, he even carries kitty treats! Thank you!

Admittedly I dithered about whether to pull the trigger on the project. I initially got an estimate in January, started to hear worrying news about COVID-19, and decided to delay. By the time I got back in touch in August, the company was in the middle of its busy season. Nevertheless, the communication was terrible. I wrote to them three times in August and September without receiving a reply. I then called them twice. The second time I got through to a grumpy person who told me he would schedule a check-in for the following week and an install for three weeks after that. Today is the day after the planned install date and I've heard absolutely nothing from them. However, in the meantime I've found a different company with much better communication, and as a bonus their pricing is MUCH lower. So it's probably good the Fireplace Guys never got back to me.

The Fireplace Guys were excellent. Showed up on time, ensured proper safety protocol (shoes off, mask on), and performed maintenance well and quickly.

Derek was prompt, knowledgeable and did a great, thorough repair of our gas fireplace. He was polite and friendly also.

Awful. Just awful. First, you need to call and leave a voicemail to talk to someone. Don’t expect a prompt response... they tell you someone will call back in a week. When they do call back, make sure you pick up otherwise, hope you’re willing to wait another week. When the technician finally came, he was very unprofessional - complained about the amount of work he had to do and all of the customers he had to service. Also, when we asked if we could convert our fireplace back to wood burning he said - “I don’t know. You’d have to call someone else”. Um, don’t you work for a company called The Fireplace Guys?? Lastly, when he finally left he said they’d follow-up with a quote for the work. We are now over a month later and still haven’t received a quote. I WOULD NOT recommend this company.

Office called to confirm service appointment. Technicians arrived on time and did a thorough job, answering all of our questions. They cleaned up after themselves. The price was very reasonable.

it took a long time to get an appointment but they came on time, were friendly and knowledgeable and explained everything, fixed everything. perfect. pretty expensive but worth it.

I got quotes from three companies. Derek's was the middle quote but he was the only one that actually took the time to explain everything to me and he figured out how we could get an even larger insert in the fireplace where one other company told me they couldn't make it any larger and the third company said he could only replace it with what was already there. Derek showed up on time and the fireplace works great. He also added the brick backer kit and a blower with a remote. I did have an issue with the fireplace after installation where it kept making a loud pinging noise. Derek came back and swapped the entire unit out and re-did the tile surround with any complaints. His team also made sure to clean up after each day. Overall it looks great and I'm going to have Derek add another fireplace shortly.

Started a little slow, but this is their busy time of year - once it got going, it went very fast. Derek and his crew were very courteous and professional. I have had numerous people work on the fireplace and chimney over 40 years and none of them were as good as The Fireplace Guys. They laid down tarps not just in front of the fireplace, but all the way to the door! The sweep they performed before installing the fireplace was the best ever. Cost listed does not include the electrician and the plumber whom I paid myself.

Completely unresponsive. Called multiple times for almost 2 months.

Terrible. Our time frame given was 1-3pm He showed up at 3:20 He looked at the fireplace, asked who installed and said they put the vent in backwards and all the pipes needed to be replaced. He told me he would email me . 7 days later I had a friend look at it and turns out, the line just needed to be purged (there was air in the line) Would never use this company again

An excellent experience. Everything was handles so professionally - the initial call was returned, the first site visit done in the window promised, I was given the options to fix the problem, the price was reasonable, the follow up was even quicker than promised and the removal and installation done with competence and professionalism. I wish all my home improvement interactions were with companies of this caliber. You will not regret hiring Derek and the Fireplace Guys LLC.

Excellent. Very professional and responsive. Did not have the part to fix the ignition system. Ordered part and then called me up to schedule follow up service.

Derek was on time, took off his boots and placed drop-cloths by fireplace. He meticulously took off the glass, dismantled the whole system and made the 20 year plus gas fireplace look new! He replaced the pilot light which was no surprise to us. He also recommended a remote controlled thermostat which we needed. This is our primary heat source in the winter and the room would become too hot so it was a constant battle of opening a door and the room got too cold or having to add and then remove layers of clothes multiple times. I cannot rave enough about this company.

Completed job met all expectations, particularly in ease of operation and appearance.

These guys were excellent. I would recommend them to anyone. They were on-time, did exactly what they said they would do, picked-up everything.
