LA MATTINA'S PLUMBING & HTG

I had an issue with a leaking toilet in my house. Bobby came out the next day, equipped to resolve whatever the problem was. Before charging me for materials and labor for a new toilet, he did everything he could to make sure there wasn’t a more cost-efficient solution. He showed me the physical cause of the leak and thoroughly explained why the toilet had to be replaced. Because he was so well prepared, he was able to replace the toilet that same morning, and it works perfectly. He also fixed the shutoff valve that had been broken for years. His price was very reasonable and worth every penny given the quality of the new Kohler toilet he installed, his quick response time, as well as friendly and professional service he provided. LaMattina was incredibly responsive and I was even able to get a same day appointment. He got to my house right when he said he would, explained to me everything he was doing and why it was necessary and left the place cleaned up when he left. I would not hesitate to make LaMattina my regular plumber/furnace company.

I had 6 licensed plumbers come give me the same quote for a remodel project, La Mattina's was the highest (double the other bids) and the most/only frustrating experience. The owner kept pointing his finger in my face when I questioned why his prices were so high and he would respond with "I have been doing this for 30 years... call the building inspector, we are good friends". He also tried to bet me $100 that he was right, when I questioned his pricing. The gentlemen said he "does not touch bathrooms for under $5,000"... but also told me he pays his plumbers around $100/hr and that the job would take a day.... When I asked why he justified having someone pay him roughly $4,000 profit to connect plastic PVC pipes for a day he became so frustrated and rude I had to ask him to leave the property because he was making me physically uncomfortable and kept walking towards me (There was another plumber at my house completing an angies deal coupon and he became so concerned hearing this gentlemen yelling at me that he came up from the basement to make sure everything was alright) . I strongly recommend getting multiple bids for homeowners who do not know much about the trades, there is enough concerning issues going on in our city/country that being taken advantage of, over charged and intimidated is something we should not have to deal with. I hope he was having a bad day and this was not an accurate representation of his character as a human-being and a local professional. Although, he was on time.

The service provided was excellent. The price is perfect. They're reliable, they come pretty quickly and they are nice people.

I called several plumbers and he was the only one to respond. He was very punctual.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a plumber. He quoted me $100 - $150 on the phone. He came with his sone and they were here for over two hours - doing god know what in the basement for 45 minutes then left for "a part" and didn't come back for almost an hour. I only saw actual work done in my presence - the washer and dryer in a closet in my condo - for about 30 minutes when they lifted the washer off and redid the attachments. He complained the entire time using offensive terms about the plumber who had installed the washer and then charged me a whopping $500 plus out of nowhere. Be warned - do not trust La Mattina.
