John did excellent work on replacing connections, upgrading amperage and wires in order to have our new water heater up and running . KUDOS!

Excellent! Quick response time!! John assisted with installing a new ceiling kitchen light and stove hood/vent/light installation. Will be hiring again for future electric work needed for outside lights as well!

After attempting to troubleshoot the nature of the problem over the phone, John very promptly came to my home, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it. He is knowledgeable and thorough. I will call him first for any future electrical work.

Fine; he changed breaker and also noticed that there was a potentially dangerous open space in the electrical panel and filled it.

John is very professional. He came by at the time we agreed, and checked out the issues I had. He gave me options to choose from in the replacement of an outdoor motion detector light which was not working properly along with a price for the unit he usually installs. I am still contemplating if I want to buy my own or go with what he offers (for now I have a battery operated motion detector light that works quite well since the other bulb in the electrical motion detector light finally went). Once I figure out what brand light I want to use to replace it with, I'll make the decision on all of the other issues (however, John did fix the door bell by replacing the part needed at no charge).

John did a great job, arrived for an initial walk thru to discuss the potential scope of work we were looking at, and made some recommendations that made sense. He and his son then returned on another day to complete the work in a timely and professional fashion. Nice, personable guy (and son).

Excellent! John is wonderful. He had great ideas and those great ideas came out great in the final product. I am extremely happy with how the lighting came out my new kitchen. Just beautiful.

John is outstanding. He responded to my call while he was away for the weekend and promptly set up a time to come out. The electrical work in my older bathroom was not easy but John was able to install new sconces, an overhead fan/light and recessed lighting in the shower. He really knows his stuff and he's a really nice guy. I would recommend John in a minute. Trust me, you won't go wrong.

Efficiently rewired an outlet and set flush for finishing. Found short and remedied.

He moved some electrical boxes for me. Put in some doorbell ringers. Gave me some advice about knob and tube stuff in my home, I was thinking of changing. Ultimately decided not to. I have not had some electrical work done for a while. It is always a blow when you get the bill if you are not in tune with what electrical work is. I guess he charges about $100 an hour and he was here 3 hours. That is his right. I can't say anything one way or another about it frankly. or I don't want to. He is very qualified. He is very helpful in helping you determine if you do need some things done. Like I said, I had some knob and tube, in the end I decided it was too much. It would probably be too expensive right now for me to do what I wanted to do, so I decided to give it a pass. He was very informative and helpful in that way. He wasn't out to make work and business for himself. He was honest in saying, he would do it if I wanted him to do it. But when we were talking about it, he explained to me the various ends and outs of it. My mind was ticking about how much it would cost me. I decided that I did not want to go that route and spend that much at that time. It was something that I could put off.

John returned my call promptly and made suggestions on what I might check before he would need to make a service call. He was right, I had a GFI outlet that had popped. A simple fix that saved me the cost of a visit. Great service - will definitely use for my next electrical project.

Great! John came out the day after I called to assess the project. We scheduled a time one week later for work to be done. He was responsive and friendly. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

John got back to me right away, and was able to fix the problem WITHOUT EVEN HAVING TO COME TO THE HOUSE! He easily diagnosed the problem just by talking with me and directed me what to do. The issue was fixed immediately. I will not hesitate to contact John again if/when I have other electrical issues.

In the brief time we spent together John was great. He was honest, thorough and ultimately knew the job was not going to be the right fit for him. I appreciated the honesty and will be using him for future projects.

John replied to my initial review saying there was not an appointment when in fact there was. I have the phone records and text screenshots that I've previously provided to AngiesList. He was to come by and give an estimate for running a new electric run for a new appliance. He did not come by or call.

Mr. Butler was great. He came over the same afternoon I called and spent several hours trying to figure out the problem. When none of the immediate answers worked, he said recommended that I try a company with more staff who probably could to address a complicated problem more quickly. He was helpful and courteous and he did not charge me for his time

He and his assistant spent over an hour investigating, advised me on possible causes and solutions, and the likely cost of the fix. Because he didn't have time to work on the project this week, he suggested another firm I could call. There was no charge for the visit. I was worried about the situation and he was a big help. I will call him in the future.
