He is from Brazil and has been a legal resident in the U.S. for many years. Though his English is not perfect, his painting is. His prices seem very fair. I was very pleased with the job he did, and recommend him without any reservations.
Jamir is absolutely honest and trustworthy. We've left him alone in the house for days at a time, with no concern whatsoever for our possessions. He is exceptionally easy to work with and as accommodating as you could wish. If you change your mind about something, he'll turn on a dime. He is unfailingly pleasant and friendly, always.
Jamir is reliable and punctual to a fault. You can set your watch by him. If he's unaccountably held up by traffic, he'll call ahead to tell you he'll be late. Jamir works by the day, not by the job. I strongly encourage you to trust his estimates. He supplies all the paints and other disposables at cost (no markup at all) or you can provide them. For the quality and care he provides, Jamir's labor price is remarkably, maybe even astonishingly, lower than his competitors.
Jamir is a long-time legal Immigrant from Brazil, married to an American citizen, and now eligible to complete his US citizenship process. His communication skills in English are certainly adequate, and if he's not entirely sure of what you've said, he'll ask you.
