Description of Work: We hired ICS to take down cedar shingles and side our home with Hardy Plank composite siding. They pushed back the start date after signing the contract then did not keep in touch about when the project would be scheduled. This created problems as they didn't give enough notice when they finally were ready to begin. They did an adequate job of taking down the shingles and putting up the siding, however they made mistakes and damaged trim work, windows, and the front door. After repeated attempts to get damage fixed correctly we gave up. They did come back to try and fix things, they just weren't competent with carpentry skills. They twice tried to put siding over bathroom vents, even after we'd showed them where the vents were. They did a good job of cleaning up the job each day but left a lot of materials in the garden after the job had been over for weeks despite being asked three times to remove it. The landscaping has not recovered after 4 months. I'm fairly confident that most if not all of the workers on the job were subcontractors who had been trained to install the Hardy Plank siding but were otherwise unskilled. I would not recommend them and am not happy with Angie's List for the A rating they have of ICS.

Description of Work: Of the 6 roofers I selected from Angie's List, ICS was the first to respond and to send someone to evaluate the circumstances. But, their estimate, besides containing errors, was very high. When they corrected the errors, it got even higher -- several times the bid I eventually went with.
